Ryohei really represent what teenagers nowadays feel.. his parents think about other things than him and he also don't want to burden his parents after what had happened to his brother.. he just hold everything alone and not telling anyone else and hide it with his smile and the word "I'm okay" just like what teenagers always do.. sadly,, his mother knew about what her son have faced when he was alive only after he died.. no matter this is one of the saddest Japanese Movie about deadly disease I've ever watched

A deeply moving edit, my Soul was truly touched as i know this story in my own life. Lost two parents to cancer & yesterday my brother told me he has cancer & about to start radiation. As a supporter & onlooker you feel powerless to change a terminal outcome, if only you could wish upon a star & your wish come true alas, many times the lesson is in letting go so they can fly. 🙏

this movie made me cry, my dad also suffered from brain tumour but he never made us feel he was hurt, scared and suffering he always had a beautiful smile on his face after seeing this movie i can feel how afraid my dad felt knowing he will die soon, knowing he won't be able to see us and spend time with us, this movie made me want to meet my dad and tell him how strong he was and how much i miss him.
I am crying reading your comment..my dad, my best friend and whole world died 2018 due to cancer, he was so brave and strong... never showed us how hurt he was... he must’ve been so scared too.. now i miss him every second and have depression ever since he left.. my Ryosuke, the actor there,seeing him one day is my only hope now...

The thing about this movie that shatters my heart it's that the focus isn't on his illness and unavoidable death but a mom looking for his son' real feelings which were hidden all the time till the very end. And that's what makes the movie sadder, the fact that Ryohei died without expressing his own pain and the family without knowing it (this is depicted specially at the beginning and at the end of the movie)
Omaigod seriously u elaborate this movie well, thats exactly what i thought, the fact that he kept his feelings from his own mother and family make this movie even sadder 😭😭😭😭 , and i cant believe this is a real story, the real ryohei is a very kind, brave and strong man indeed, lots of respect for him 😭😭😭💖
It's really very difficult for me to watch it🤧without a single tear...tried very hard not to cry but remembering my classmate who is currently suffering from Blood cancer and is in ICU for 30 days breaks my heart😭...I don't know what will happen but I pray to God to give him second chance enjoy his life as he's just 15, he has a lot of dreams🙂,he 's really good in studying a very happy soul 😀who hasn't seen the world yet 😓😢 his parents are literally depressed the treatment cost is very high and quite very difficult for middle class people to afford and most importantly there is no 100%chance of his survival🤧😭....

I cried for a good half and hour with extremely thick tears after this movie ended. Really, the acting was just that good.

^_^これ本当になくなった子供さんがなんか悲しくなってこんな病気になる前にあのさっきの自転車の男の子が助けてあげればすぐに助けてあげる何あの片付けてあげなかったから家帰ってその子が洗濯物行ってる時に何時間かわからないけどずっと外にいてその病気が悪化しちゃったと思うからその時はみんなすぐに助けてあげたほうがいいと思う
だからその子はなくなっちゃったんだと思う次からはちゃんとそんなことにならないように慌てて自転車とか歩いてるとき気をつけて歩いてください私もこの1年前におばあちゃんが亡くした経験があるのでそのご家族さんのお気持ちはよくわかりますそのご家族さん亡くなったご家族さんいろいろなご家族さんがいると思うのでそのなんてのかなこれからももしそんな感じあったらすぐに病院に連れてってあげて下さいそしたらなくらないなくらないで済むと思うます
