This song takes a lot of enthusiasm in order to sound right. Mr Blunt didn't disappoint.

Great performance, fantastic energy levels throughout and the way he and the band know how to and song just like that with a signal shows how aware they all are and his professionalism and time spent in the rehearal studio with the band pays off. Still in my eyes, underrated.

James Blunt is considered a pop musician. In fact, he is a soft rock one and this cover proves this. And his latest album is a real masterpiece - all killers, no fillers.
Some Kind of Trouble has a lot of rock influences on there, like on Superstar and So Far Gone, probably my favourite album of his.

Sprinsteen is not only (or should I say "was" not only?) a brilliant performer, his lyrics are as deep as Dylan's and the latter is a genius!

Regards the American hero, he never proclaimed himself that stature, think that's just the ignorance of people who've only seen the Born in the USA album cover (which is a great protest song as a matter of fact, and the whole album an electric extension of the previous album Nebraska, folksy Americana). On the other hand, he's done some pretty heroic gestures, off the too of my head the support and donation to the miners families during the British miner strikes of the 1980's. He dodged the draft with some of his friends (got drunk before the physical and failed) as many young men did then. Whatever way you look at that is up to you. I say thank God.

When I listen to someone do a slightly different version or acoustic take on a classic it always makes me appreciate the original more.. sometimes with classic rock songs you don’t get to appreciate the song structure and lyrics until someone slaps you in the face with them again after years of just hearing them... brilliant
Yea it's weird I've only just realised how great a song this is and can't get enough of it now. I think it was such a part of the fabric of growing up in the 80's that I just took it for granted.
This a great comment. Obviously heard the song over the years but never really listened to the lyrics properly until I heard this version. Make me appreciate the original a lot more, this is a fantastic cover though.

Honestly, not much artists are able to keep up the spirit of this song w/o sounding ridicules or over over-ambitioned. This i s not perfect, but it's pretty much as closes as you could get to The Boss being James Blunt. Chapeau, Captain Blunt!
