When I see you doing your hair, it is as if I am doing my own. It truly is a relief to see someone, in the public space, with my hair texture. You represent us well Jenn. I might have said this before. 😅
Jenn! Sac pace? Gurl, thanks for sharing this routine, It's easy peasy. I do have a video request though. See, back in 2015 someone close to me helped me to understand the dangers of using chemicals to straighten my hair and encouraged me to big chop and start fresh. In the beginning I, like so many naturals I'm sure spent a lot of time in my hair trying to understand how to care for this texture that grew upward, dried so quickly, and did not cooperate with my tail comb SMH. I spent lot of money on products and tried things that eventually made me have to big bald chop 2 more times. By the third time though, I figured out what to do, the products to use and how long my hair was able to last until it needed to be remoisturized. Through out this whole time the very person who helped me go natural complained every step of the way, telling me I spend too much time in the mirror, and a whole bunch of shit that eventually made me feel like I was better off perming my hair so that I wouldn't be so consumed with learning how to take care if it. I even started hating having natural hair, I began to hate the process too and tried to do my hair late at night when there was no one awake. Fast forward till today I still deal with this person having something to say every time I need to wash or run a brush through it to neaten it up some. I'm starting to feel like I want to cut my hair off again so that I won't have to deal...but you know whatwill happen once it starts growing again. I would like you to address this problem of people interfering when one decides to go natural and needs to spend time learning their hair. I know this was supa long, but I just got the courage to share my story and ask for your assistance in addressing this since you have a huge following and there maybe others experiencing the same thing.
I understand what you mean. Of course, in the beginning, we spend a lot of time to understand and appreciate our hair. As we figure it out, we are able to simplify our routine so not as much time is required. But taking care of ourselves still requires some time. Also, I have learned to be more confident and comfortable with myself and my decisions. That way, someone else's unsolicited, negative opinions don't cause me to doubt myself as much. Hope this helps!! Take care. P.S. As an adult, I have also learned to let my mom, and anyone else for that matter, know firmly but kindly that I'm doing things as I see fit to do them. That has cut down on these unsolicited opinions.
thanks that was refreshing I do videos on finance, and accounting though it is different from hair and itis still a very small channel. i get refreshed by your hair video

I literally drop whatever I'm up to on my phone to watch your new videos lol. I think it would be great if you could please go into the whole no oil and butter thing.. I'm definitely guilty of loving my butters for my 4c hair but she loves it and I can't deny her that lol.
I washed my hair in mini twist once and the shrinkage was crazy after i looked crazy, from now on i only use water in a spray bottle and put moisturizer and oil on top
Hello I'm new to your channel. Just went under another of your videos where you were saying that your edges weren't the same since the wig. There are tonic combos you could tried on your hair, such as : 1) Aloe vera juice + onion juice + coffee + black pepper 2) bringraj + black seed + green tea + peppermint essential oil 3) Fenugrec + hibiscus + amla + ginger 4) orange powder + tea trea + castor oil + pepper mint or rosemary 5) chlorophyll combo juice or tea : moringa powder + guava leaves + pawpaw leaves + parsley 6) the old good : ginger + cinnamon + onion juice You can use them as prepoo or as a overnight combos. Actually i am in my 2nd week using the coffee and aloe vera one. I big chopped in september 2018 Hair lengh is passed my armpit (almost breast) when i pulled it. you can also check @nowimnappy on instagram for challenges and recipes inspirations. Love your channel
I have in mini twist eight now. My go to style. I love them. I twist half way and coil my ends and so many people think mine are professional. I will say to any type 4 natural: Mini twist are your friend. Anyway. I shall try the style at the end. The mini twist pony and bangs. I don't times run out of styles.
I'm trying out the not oiling my scalp to try and keep my scalp healthy and clean, but it a week and a half in and my scalp is itching slightly, I fell like my scalp is dry
I'd like to try the minitwists but I'm not sure I have the patience to do it! Are you going to wear the twistout at least for a day or will you wash your hair immediately?
I want to do mini twists so baaaaad but I’m scared I’ll be too lazy to take them out and I’ll start my loc journey lmao (nothing wrong with locs but I want to keep my natural hair tho)

I love how you say mini twist! So cute. I just put mine in two days ago, so glad this video showed up in my feed.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 A style that only takes 5 minutes to moisturize is one that I would love to do 1 day.
The hair is just so NICE and healthy.
