How do you turbocharge or supercharge a two stroke? Remember that the exhaust port open before and closes last during the stroke. Unlike a 4-stroke there's no way to hold the pressure in the combustion chamber because the ports are already closed off. Never mind the fact that you're defeating the whole purpose of having an expansion chamber. If you're blowing air through the expansion chamber than that defeats the purpose of it using the sound wave to help push and then stop the air flow into the combustion chamber from the exhaust side. I just don't understand how this works it doesn't make good sense
tuned pipe should be a part of your build tho, remember, it dosent matter how much air and fuel you can pack into the combustion chamber if you cant get the burnt gasses out just as fast.
You ever try to adapt your super charger to an 1/5 scale airplane? It's tough to get enough power on those scale airplanes for better vertical performance. Also have you tried using E-85 ethanol fuel raise the boost?
note boost bottles are very effective on larger 2 stroke engines, i raced motocross for 8 years, what i noticed is the smaller the engine, the harder it is to jet to run with a bottle. wouldent bother with it for an engine any smaller than 125 cc.
Will it fit on a RCMK engine? Also, is the clutch housing milled a bit around the inside part of the outer edge of the clutch like a Zenoah or CY housing is? Would be interested in trying one out on a GoPed but the motor mount needs the milling.
sure would be nice to hear it instead of music.... It's like trying to vote on Playmate of the Year looking through a curtain. good to hear it's coming for the 5t
this may actually work, the nitro version is bs, but because this draws air as well as the fuel, the system wont lean out like the nitro version that only increases air flow.
Not Junk... just that comparing it with pump gas motors and nitro motors is apples and oranges... Nitro contains 2.3 times the energy of gas per pound when burned with a specific quantity of air.. Also, it is not a "roots" ( positive displacement ) type of supercharger, it would be in the class of "centrifugal " superchargers. But, you're quite right about it being "just a fan" .. Has no one put a pressure gauge across one for a reading? I find that un believable.. show me 3 PSI, I'll buy!!
Charles X Yeah, i am a dealer in these and the main problem i find is way too many people think you get a 6:71 blower, they work well & i find with my own truck i get a much smoother throttle response, before i lost too much acceleration wheel standing. Send me a message if you are interested in one.
2 stokes hold boost just fine been running turbos in my snowmobiles for years the dino doesn't lie its more effective on reeded engines how ever it still works with other designs as long as you push more air than its leaking
For sure, its simple, all air and fuel come out from exhaust port when transfers open up. If it works fmf and pro circuit will dont have work making 2 stroke pipes. Only 2 strokes that runs with supercharger whas the diesel 2 strokes with exhaust valve
this guy talks shit he says superchargers are the most efficient way of getting horsepower out of your engine lol superchargers rob engine power to turn them weras a turbo uses wasted exhaust gas to spin it ther for turbos are the most efficient
your ansa has nothing to do with what I said turbos are more efficient than superchatgers simple fact even google it n no diesel actually s4 v6 bi turbo lol
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This means that it takes a given amount of energy to compress a given amount of air. With superchargers, you have slightly higher friction losses and higher inertial loads to overcome. Additionally, a supercharger doesn't deal with otherwise 'wasted heat' that a turbo may effectively put to use. So you are correct... but that's the least of this thing's problems.
gauntster84 it is very difficult to get a turbo to work on a 2 stroke and even more so on one that small it is much better/easier/lighter to use a expansion chamber exhaust. but you are right on a 4 stroke gas there is nothing better/more efficient then a turbo.
If they made a nitro engine the size of a b5 engine the game would be over!!! There is really no need for power adders you still have to wait for the power band to kick inn; I hate weed eater motors they are slow!!! Nitro .21 will still smack that supercharged garbage if I want it to go faster just increase the nitro percentage...
Can you folks make a supercharger for 49cc standup gas scooter.
The actual psi varies depending on engine and Supercharger rpm, the horsepower gained also varies depending on the engine but ranges from 20 - 40%.

Great looks and idea! How does it fit on the 5ive t? Does it allow clearance for the rollcage and body ?
the fan looks very crappily built. why would you chrome it up and add weight?

I wish they made these for both a reeded crank case as well as a direct drive so you won't have to install a clutch
i need that for my grass trimmer!!

Looks like I know what to get for my model hellcat
Yes, we now have kit for the Losi 5ive, and we just put the link to the product page in the description of this video.
sure would be nice to hear it instead of music....
It's like trying to vote on Playmate of the Year looking through a curtain.
good to hear it's coming for the 5t
Hello sir can this blower can up the power of an OBR 46cc 12 hp for losi 5t
really cool
approximately how many psi of boost does this develop? and what is the boost differences per underdrive pulley?
thats awsome really cool
Will these work on a goped without breaking rbinnovations???
will this supercharger fit on to a mini moto 29cc engine
Losi Supercharger System coming soon! Similar setup.
Can i put the on a g290rc engine for goped sport?
Hey will this contraption work on a 1/5 scale redcat rampage buggy?
What sort of boost does it produce? How many psi?
where do i get one?
I feel like people would take this product a lot more seriously if the casting and machine work didn't look so terrible.
Do R/C! F
Do R/C! U
i wish i could get a baja but the savage xl is good enough
Need to take the music out so we can hear what it really sounds like but besides that good video
Can I mount this on my moped?
Will it work with losi 5ive t

Will it work with a rovan 30.5cc with a walbro 699 carberator and how much power will i gain
cole braun nahhh get a walbro 997 carburetor I had mine 997 wow big difference.
Whats the price ?
Sweet
It's gonna be hard to fit that in a losi
raw aluminum brushed with scotch brite...me gusta...
will this work for the loss DBXL?
losi*
So it's just a belt driven style paxton supercharger.

Haha LOL that shit never will works in a 2 stroke, why? Easy! All that extra fuel and air will go direct to the exhaust port when transfers open up
too the two comments below me , are they 1/5 scale hummmmm i wonder
Ever think about putting one of these onto a is wankel
Put the camera at the car okay at the car not the grass or the ground we want to look at the car
what?
R U serious....this can not work and will never work in a 2 stroke.

Specs: Has two wheels, its yellow, goes vroom-vroom, slower than a 1 legged cyclist.
chrome plated -_- raw aluminum is the best!
Maaaaaad

Casting looks shity...
About as effective as boost bottles.
Call us at 315-451-4440 to go over specifics about your application
Can i put dat on a chainsaw
LOL what a boatload of crap. Might as well throw your money in the toilet and FLUSH!!!
That dude should be a wrestler with all the smack spewing out his mouth,,,
Not a real supercharger.

-> "Exhaust Turbos are usually "working" in off-the-shelf diesel passenger cars."
...think of this ;)
rally cars are turbos think of this lol

lol a supercharger delivers constant power because its belt driven you don't have to reach a power band like with a turbo which has to spool up
