yeah shield block used to be 5 second and u were able to block 1-2 attacks with it, now its on a 20 sec CD i think but it raises your block value or something for 15 seconds.
the colorful squares is a mod called Grid. Every square is a person in the raid it shows health debuffs incoming heals hots etc. You can use it to heal or just to see how the raid is doing overall and its much prettier than normal wow raid frames.
Yeah. I'm definitely jealous. That's why I was 3/5 BT while they had just cleared it. I used to be like them; playing for hours on end, getting server firsts, etc. I don't consider playing WoW for a disproportionate amount of time an achievement that deserves the sacrifice of your social life as WoW will never benefit these people later in life.

Have to agree with aincre, lot of ppl only talking about Nihilum and SK, when they talked about the progressing guilds in SWP. But guilds as Method (and a lot of other guilds) performed as good as SK and Nihilum.

Dude, They've never been "Taking a Break" Their raid times are 10 AM - 3 AM Monday-Saturday, Double shift job. SK got better Tanking/Healing drops in sunwell Imo, that's why they beat Nihilum, either way both of the guilds rock all your socks off :p

omfg nihilum didnt disband, the armory is glitched for EU and only shows 20 members, kungens arena teams are over 2000 {i think thats the arena ratings} kungen is still a prot warrior, and nihilum only has about 31 members guys. they have always had around that because they dont want to have tons of them. a lot of guilds only have bout 30 or 40 members.
It was a buff down the Shaman Elemental talent spec called "Elemental Mastery" and made the next spell have 100% chance to crit and cost no mana I believe, that combined chain lightening did tons of damage back then at lvl 70. (: The shammies were pretty OP for a bit but then they changed the buff in an update lol.

old comment, yea... but melee were top on that fight usually. rogues were great, but usually only TOP cause of glaives. Best POSSIBLE dps prior to 4.0 pre-wotlk patch was Hunter or double glaive fury warrior. Hunters were the only ones able to reach like 3.2k+ dps, which was just fking SILLY back then, when the entire required raid dps for brutallus was ~27,000 combined.
The assumption is that to get to that level you need to be online constantly, thus you have no life. And this is not far from the truth, maybe they do have friends, but it IS true that people in Nihilum, during progression periods, would not hesitate to sit in front of the computer all day to prep for the raid, and then raid until the morning to get those first kills in.
Actually, the pandaren were actually first implemented in Warcraft as an easter egg.......so you might consider them a joke. Justifying a whole expansion based on Pandaren solely based on Chen appearing(a single Pandaren, never making any reference to Pandaria or anything) in the Warcraft 3 BONUS campaign(not the main storyline) is really pushing it. And dont get me started on the racials: "" Bouncy'' '' Epicurean'' Painfully obvious that it was heavily influenced by Kung Fu Panda.

well, i asked why people praised them, and you responded to my comment, so i assumed you did that, and when it comes to skill, okey, i can agree that those that are really high up in arena do know what they are doing, but it is after all an MMO, so not alot of skill is needed compared to others gaming genres, its more about dedicating the time and learning the tactics, more that then being personally good at the game.

it dosent attack the other target or anything like that the raid is divided into 3 parts 1 mele (behind boss) 1 casters ranged healers (on one side) 1 casters ranged healers (on the other side) the boss does every few seconds something called Meteor slash that does a dmg in an cone and stacking a debuff that makes you get more dmg from the meteor slash (it does 20k dmg migitated throu the ppl that soak it) on the top of the 2 soaking parts are 2 tanks that are rotating taunts after 3 debuffs

Yeah, but the thing is that they did it the wrolds first, nihilum has done like 22 bosses down before any1 else( think its more ) and SK did the 3 last bosses in SWP so thats why they say those two guilds are the best, becouse they was the worls first to down them.

You know that nihilum raiding times is from 21.00-around 01.00 two days a week exept when they do progress raids. They have jobs GF's and a famely, this is just a hobby wich they happen to earn money one and since they are so successful in what they are doing they are famous for it to ;P
Awake got kicked out of nihilum by Kungen because he was to "obsessed" with the fame, and wanted to do everything that had with nihilum alone (interviews, web-site etc)

Maybe, just maybe, because he's one of the best players in the world overall? Maybe he doesnt have to spend hours of learning stuff, that he just see the coming encounter and can figure it out by himself... like what to do and not to do? He's simply a brilliant player that doesnt need 20 wipes to see the fight, maybe 1-2 then its set.
God damn the people in Nihilum have no lives. Before the fanboys swarm to defend them, Nihilum even said that they raid from 6PM-12PM when progressing. Assuming they play 4 days/week, that's 24 hours/week. That's just raiding. If you throw in farming and just fucking around, some of them get up to 34 hours/week. You can't have a social life and play that much. This is coming from some one that was in a top 100 guild a few weeks ago. Life was shitty due to WoW. Ebayed my account for 700$.

I just bugs me when people use them all the time. I feel like it looks so corny, when he and others have some awesome looking gear...and the Tauren animations just look a lot better.

that said, I think only 2-3 hunters in the world were able to pull those numbers. (best guilds, fastest kills, best gear, best buffs, etc...)

In Naxx after Wotlk expansion he has around 46k hp buffed :D
