No, they are complaining because Topgear.com has a shit webplayer (by the way, I'm getting like 2fps without the video in fullscreen for this video), is limited to the uk, and the fact teasers are filling their sub box. And btw, Harris never got the attention he deserved on top gear. Matt and Evans got 90 percent of the screen time, while we got very little of the guy who actually knows how to review a car. The fact the bbc are hiding him away on topgear.com rather than A) properly utilising him in the tv show, or B) putting these videos on he bbcs youtube channel is just disgusting to be honest. Now the bbc have slashed his viewers in half by putting him on a website most countries can't view. So really, we should be angry at the bbc rather than Harris himself.
I think you misinterpreted my sentiment, I'm a big fan of Chris. While I don't disagree with the statements you made I think most of the dislikes and complaints come from idiotic Clarkson fans pining for his return. I'm guessing the reasoning behind putting those vids on the TG website have to due with UA-cam's sketchy monetization policies and the fact that YT stands to make more off the ad revenue for TG's content than they do, where they have full control over it on their own domain. I'm in Canada and I've never had issues viewing content on TG's site, though I agree the player isn't great. I'm just thankful he's able to make his content available for free.

Maybe some of it is Clarkson fans gone mad, but I think most of it is backlash to the bbc. I don't think he sold out though like some have said here in the comments. It's a shame that the BBC seems to feel the need to dumb his content down on the main show, but that's one of the issues when you're pandering to such a widespread audience.

I hope so... Chris is popular but truthfully the 2 are a pair. With top Gear having such a large studio for editing that's a hard one for the pair.. But I will say I always loved how Neil presented Mr Harris to us all. I do hope they stay as a combo.

Agreed. The whole philosophy behind Ferrari's special limited cars like the F12 TDF is that wealth alone, though necessary, is not a sufficient condition to get one. You need to be a top tier, longstanding and loyal Ferrari client who has spent tens-of-millions of dollars on Ferraris to even be considered for an allocation. And even this is still no guarantee that you'll get one.
Some people get paid quit well by their UA-cam channel, and with Chris personality, fame, skills and name, I have no doubt Chris Harris would be one of them. The new Top Gear is something of a joke, and in the long run I really doubt it will be profitable for CH to be associated with it. I think CH deserves better.

A year ago people wouldn't shut up about "Chris Harris should be the new host of Top Gear", now all people do is complain about it.
