The grief when separated from your lover is unmatchable. The pain of separation makes you die a thousand deaths. This song also depicts the misery of Sasi, as she mourns for her Punu, who has left her alone.
The song says that Sasi is roaming around mindlessly and one of her friends comes in touch with her. Her friend is in utter shock considering the poor condition of Sasi who is traveling alone on such a dangerous path at such odd hours. Sasi refutes her back and asks her not to say such words that might shatter her motivation of finding Punu. She explains to her that when you are in love, you don't fear anyone or anything. Love makes you strive in all the difficult situations. She asks for blessings so that she can meet Punu soon.
Sasi cries for Punu to come back to her and not to take his journey to Kaich. 'Mod Muhar' refers to coming back. She wants to live her life with Punal Khan, the agony of separation is too much to bear.
The moment Raval (another name for Punu) left her, she was crying her heart out. She is unable to sleep at night and is constantly thinking about the day when she'll be able to meet her beloved back.
She is so distressed and tells her friends that someone very close to her heart has now gone to Kaich. Life without him is nothing but hollow from inside. There is no joy and no will to live.
She is pleading from her heart for his return. She has left everything. She can't sleep, she doesn't feel like eating, her heart is always yearning for Punu and only when he comes, she can be happy again.
Listen to this heart wrenching composition in the vocals of Mir Basu Barkat Khan.

    Translation:
    Sasi walks leaving Sair Bhhambhoor
    She come across her friend
    Don’t walk these difficult paths
    Alone, you would die!
O sister! Do not talk of the difficult paths,
Pray to lord that I meet Punu today
Says Gulam Farid, those don’t become afraid,
    who make love their friend
O Punal! Turn back your camels
Don’t go to the city of kaich
    O! the friend of barochal’s
Every moment, I hope to meet you
The khan went away and left me mourning
    Without my beloved, the warrior,
    every moment goes sleepless
When, what dates would we meet?
He went away, the friend of the Kaich’s
Without my beloved, my life is becoming a suffering
When, what dates would we meet?
My Khan went away leaving me alone
Without my Punal this house is lonely
When, what dates would we meet?
