Unawareness is the alert of death, so wake, O Kabir!
Leave all others drinks, taste the nectar of ram
Reading scriptures won’t liberate, even if hundreds are read
Bathing in the ganga won’t liberate, even of hundreds of dives
Visiting the mecca won’t liberate, even of hundreds of worship
Says Bulleh shah, only those liberate, who removes ‘I’, ignorance from the heart
Bulleya, eat Kebab and drink wine, and heat the bones beneath this body
Rob and fill the house of lord, and rob the robber who robed
I enchant my Ram
Nor I don’t bathe in the ganga or yamuna
Neither visit any pilgrimage, sixty-eight pilgrimages in this body
I bathe pore to pore in them, I enchant my Ram
I neither become a yogi, and grow hairs
Nor smear ash on my limbs, my lord gave me such a beautiful body
Then, why do I colour myself in any other shades? I enchant my Ram
Neither I eat dread, nor do I take any herbs
And nor i call the doctor, my lord is the master of all and everything, says Kabir
I show my distress to him, I enchant my Ram
Neither I cut the branches nor pluck the leaves
And nor worry any being, in leaf to leaf
Pervades my lord, I bow to each and all
I enchant my Ram
I join my hands to the sun and moon, and
Says Kabir, listen O seekers, I free myself from the cycle of rebirth
I enchant my Ram

Rajasthan Kabir Yatra is a 7 days-long annual traveling folk music festival spread across six rural and urban locations in and around Rajasthan. Organized by Lokayan, Bikaner and partnered with Rajasthan Police, this is a folk festival providing a space where folk musicians, artists, scholars, students, and seekers can immerse themselves in the voices of Bhakti and Sufi saint-poets such as Kabir, Mira, Bulleh Shah, and many more, questioning and dissolving boundaries of caste, class, religion, and identity.
The five editions, in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 were widely chronicled and appreciated. It brought together 50 artists, over 400 Yatris every year from other parts of India, and thousands of local audiences.
