Well done JOSH, shows to go ya, or goes to show ya, they all work when they are hungry hey, some better than others, i always like to see that variation in what they will eat, sorry bite good job keep up the great work. Cheers Chris
You’re completely right mate, if the fish are hungry and something is presented to them they ain’t gonna pass it up. It is interesting to see if any particular lure stands out more than another. Thanks for the comment as always mate 🙏🏻
Great session mate, cool looking Jewies. Can you maybe tell us on the next vid how you set up your drift? I see you have the leccie slowing your drift down but to what speed? Cheers
They’re a pretty fish hey. I’ll definitely try and go through how I drift in more detail on the next video mate. It’s a pretty simple technique, but you do have to constantly adjust your speed. In the next video I drift I’ll try to explain it better. Thanks for the comment mate 🤙
I reckon you’re in with a chance. Just drift these areas as you would with lures basically. Do you have an electric motor to assist with drifting? The river has really been producing lately.
Thanks mate! Appreciate it. Was good to have a chat to you the other day. I remembered watching your black spot tusky videos a while back mate. Loved em 👌 In regards to your question, I’m currently running hero 9’s with the GoPro endurance batteries. Apparently they hold up tot he temp a bit better, and I’ve had very minimal over heating issues. Still does happen some days.
@@BrisVegasFishing Thanks for the info - I've use 12s and even with the enduro batteries I still get a lot of issues. Glad you liked the Blackspot vids - I need to get a big one of them!!
It definitely opens up the realm of possibilities, but also shows the opportunistic nature of fish in heavy current. As for leader I run black magic tough trace, abrasion resistant mono filament. That’s a 30lb too
@@phiromtauch6059 well for the deep water with heavy current, straight away I’d go a 3/4 ounce jig head. Jew and snapper in that heavy current aren’t gonna be looking for a beautiful presentation in the lure so the rapid drop of that weight will be fine. Plus you’ll be able to feel the bottom much easier. Hook size I’d recommend the around that 5/0-6/0 just cause Jew have a big mouth and fight hard. So that robust hook won’t let you down. I use that on a 6-20lb blade n tails with a daiwa certate. And line is usually suffix832 in 20lb, with a black magic tough trace 30lb leader.
Cheers mate. Definitely one of my better sessions. I’ve been mostly fishing the mouth around the first and last quarter as far as moon phases. But I’ve been more focused on the tide not the moon, focusing on the morning run out tide. Doing well when there’s a lot of run in the tide. It’s been working well 😅
After what happened in WA, catch and release will probably be banned because research proves most released fish die. Hopefully these UA-cam videos will be a thing of the past. I have only caught eels and catfish in the Brisbane River and the pollution is insane.
@BrisVegasFishing honestly become a staple lure in my box 😂 Funnily I only have the hooking on oneself issue. The slipping even on headlocks isn't too much of an issue!
Awesome video - what a session! Love the running commentary Saw this video from Ryan Moody regarding venting in the water before you lift the fish out of the water which was interesting ua-cam.com/video/PSMWQRT07gM/v-deo.html Keep up the great work
Nice work Josh. Was great to see you on the water. We were the three amateurs in the horizon that drifted past you. See out there again soon mate 👍
Hahaha aye! I remember you blokes. 😂👌 you should’ve stuck around and done a couple more drifts through there.
Hey mate. Loving your videos. Any chance you can do a video with tips on using the side scan / sonar ?
I reckon I could look at doing a dedicated video in the future 🤙

Still better than a days work. Am I right? 😉

Nice vid mate, everyone been smashing this area and cleaning up on plastics. Wonder how lives dead baits would go?

@BrisVegasFishing nah I don't have electric. Wish I did. I will give the area ago soon..
Another ripper of a sesh. Just shows how dialled in you have that river.
Thanks mate. You’re too kind 😂🙏🏻 I just put a lot of time in and move about the system if the fishing is a bit tough.
10. THAT'S the way to go mate.
My man 👊 I’m gonna have to look into doing it now 😂
Great video mate keep up the great work 👍
Good to hear mate. Thanks for the encouragement 🙏🏻
Awesome session…..what size jighead mate?
Thanks mate. I was just using a 3/4 ounce daiwa bait junkie.
Great vid again mate - talked to you at Raby Bay ramp couple of days ago - what GoPros are you using & do you have overheating issues? Cheers mate

Definitely be keen to see you get into a few bigger tuskys for sure. Even them small ones go hard.

Squidtrex would have put 1 more on the list haha😊
I know a bloke that fishes with them religiously aye. I think his name was Toni 🤔 hehehe🙊
Legend cobba. Didn't quite catch what leader you were running. FLURO OR MONO? cheers mate
Thanks bud. 🤙 I was using 30lb black magic tough trace. It’s their abrasion resistant mono. Holds up well.
Hey mate great session out👍 what tide and moon works the best to catch jewfish in the Brisbane river?

@@BrisVegasFishing They love that run , Fishing WEIPA the Jew always started to bite 1. hour after the turn on a run down tide.
Great video mate! What size jig heads do you use in these areas?
Glad you enjoyed it mate. I’ll normally run a 3/4 ounce jig head, gets ya down nice and quick in them higher current areas. 👌

Hey mate did you loose a rod and reel lately?
Hahaha no I haven’t. Why is that? 😅 you find a certate? 😂
@@BrisVegasFishing dragged up a blade n tails today from Claras

You should do a live vs dead bait challenge

15 between 2 people and I’ll be the 2nd person 😂

If there has never been a more me thing to happen in a challenge video.
