Raquel. I love how you're so realistic about your hair treatment andcthe products you use . They're inexpensive and its not complicated at all. I love it
Hey Raqs! Only found your vids today. Started with your 1st time using rice water and I'm hooked! I've been cutting my hair "brush" for years now but I feel like growing it now. The problem is that I'm very impatient and needed something (rata-nyana) to give my hair a kick-start. Heard about rice water and needed a clear video of how to prepare and use it. And Whoala! There you were! Tell you what? Tomorrow I'm going to buy oils (peppermint oil included) , and start my journey. You have me so excited about the future of my hair. You're beautiful and your hairline is on point now. Keep taking care of your hair. I'm rooting for it to keep growing more and more. Thanx for sharing these videos. Lots of love from your South African New subscriber! I'm Tswana too btw. So refreshing to see you! 😘😘😘
I live in the Uk and I have been looking for someone with my hair type alot of 4c American/West African/ East African hair is different from mine/ours , so its great to find a fellow South African with my exact hair type lol
Amazing!!! Literally trolled all your videos after watching the rice water one last week. I'm rice watering my hair and my baby's hair everyday! Quick question what is that silver spaceship thing where does one get that?
Ngaatendwe P.H Murombedzi I’m dying at “silver spaceship thing”😂 but I got mine from Amazon. You can try getting it from your beauty/hair supply store or AliExpress.
Hey girl! Found 1 of your videos and just watched all of them. I am so happy I ran across your videos. Finding someone who looks like me and has the same hair as me is hard. I definitely subscribed and plan to follow the same hair treatment. Watching all the way from Las Vegas. Stay blessed Queen. 🤗🤗
Hi hun, thanks for this video. I am a new subbie. I must confess, you have such a great personality...please keep it up Please i have these questions: 1. How do If my hair is 4c or not? 2. How do i do the porosity test on my hair? 3. When am I supposed to deep condition my hair and how many times in a week or month please? 4. When am I supposed to do hot oil treatment on my hair and how many times in a week or month? 5. Please where did you get all these oils from, I stay in the US; and please could help type out the names of the products you used? Please answer these questions🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thanks
Hi. I'm gratefully a new sub!! How often should I use the rice water n let it sit after use?? Today will be my 1st day on my journey(me n my daughter) also can I use olive oil instead of peppermint?
Hi, my lovely! Ok I know you made this vid last year, so I don't know if what I'm about to say is even relevant to you anymore, but here goes. PS PLEASE READ TO THE END...IT IS SO VALUABLE! You mentioned that your shampoo and conditioner seem to leave your hair feeling really dry, this could be because your shampoo and conditioner may be too high in protein (too much-HYDROLYZED PROTEIN in your hair can cause it to feel like straw and can cause your hair strands to snap if used too frequently; which is why most 4Cs use protein as a monthly treatment) also HARD WATER, ARID locations add to very dry hair and of course, there are added chemicals that are just not good for 4C hair and can cause extreme dryness. Like so many sistas, I am also on a hair growth journey, but my hair loss was extreme; as in NO HAIR AT ALL! YEP! I went from locks that were 24" long, to 2"s of hair! You see, sadly I suffer from deep depression (for those who don't understand the effects of this mental condition, one of the symptoms is the loss of motivation to do many everyday things) so during one of my episodes, I was no longer motivated to tend to or maintain the care of my locks. This led to my making a decision to cut them off! Within a week my 2"s of hair just started to fall out very quickly; it was like my scalp just went into shock!! It seemed logical to me to start regrowing it with nothing but Natural oils ie JOJOBA, COCONUT, RAPESEED, OLIVE, AVOCADO, CASTOR, etc. What I learned about these oils is that there are different oils that serve different purposes for my 4C hair. There are penetrative oils that SEEP UNDER THE HAIR CUTICLES OR SHAFT and SEALANT oils that COAT the hair. The best penetrative oils are the ones that are high in TRYGLYCERIDES and/or contain MONOSATURATED LIPIDS (fat) (the HIGHER the percentage % is of these LIPIDS in your oil, the easier the penetration) these lipids need to be small and compact to seep under your hair cuticles and Coconut oil has 95% of them, Red Palm oil has 98%, Babbusu oil has 100% and so on. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH TO GET THE BEST FOR YOUR UNIQUE 4C HAIR, BUT HOPEFULLY, THIS INFORMATION WILL GIVE YOU THE HEADS UP!
I do mine after shampooing cause idk, I just feel like the oil isn't washed away as opposed to doing it before shampoo. I feel the hair is cleaner and the treatment keeps the hair nourished for longer as opposed to before shampooing. Honeslty, ga ke itse if its a real thing but it just feels right!
Hi ! Coconut oil might dry your hair , I used to have really dry hair when I was using that oil ! Also I think you should do the hot oil treatment before your shampoo I have low porosity hair I put the oils before I go to bed and some cellophane for the night you will see the results you don't have to warm the oil because it will heat up with your scalp And I think your hair are really dry because you do the hot oil treatment before the shampoo so the products can't penetrate your hair shaft anymore .
@@raquelmolatole you're welcome, let me know , and are you low porosity ? If so you should try washing your hair every week and deep condition every week after deep conditioning rinse out then apply a leave in and a light oil (almond oil , grapeseed oil ) it really help my hair honestly and I saw a lot of growth my hair are more manageable and I can see my curls ! Hydration is key hope it helps and let me know ! 😁
@@raquelmolatole Okay if you're high porosity maybe try a more heavy oil are butter and you can do a spray filled with water and you're favorite leave in and spray on your hair when you feel that they are dry . But do a lot of deep treatment !

Use palmers conditioning shampoo or Shea moisture shampoo. They won’t strip your hair and make it feel dry. We literally have the same hair 😹🤞🏼

I think I’m high porosity. I did the strand test and it sunk to the bottom. Also it just fits in with the characteristics oh high porosity hair.
