I'm new. I try to start but honestly it feels like a steep hill. I am now using zizaran's video's and zizaran's campaign tutorial to get through it. Hoping for it to feel less overwhelming and to have a good experience, and learn a lot so I can hopefully learn to love poe like you guys.
Tip #0: Don't rush, play at your own time. If you feel that 3-4 months isn't enough for you to enjoy the whole league, just continue your character on Standard, they don't get deleted. Just remember that the economy in Standard is vastly different from League so you'll have to learn to craft a ton there.
1,5k since open beta. It still takes me 12h to finish campaign and sometimes I gain only like 200-400 chaos thoughout. Playing for fun, but it hurts when people be like - yeah, that is how your gear should look like, 1-2 divs. So day 2 at most. I am a filthy casual
Started PoE again during Christmas holiday. Made it to act 10 for the first time. Got my 3rd ascendancy on my lightning arrow build. I’m in deep now. Thanks for all of the helpful content!
This is a godsend. I’d never played an ARPG before D4. Got bored of season 2. Downloaded POE yesterday and my mind is stun locked on WTF is going on. Taking my time and loving it so far but daaaammmmnnnn is it complex. Most videos I ever watched might as well have been in Swahili and filmed in a secret bunker on mars lol
Only 2 weeks in to Poe preparing for poe2. Already 110 hours in with an ascended witch, Hunter and melee. Wow what a game. The next 24 will be the longest ever. GGG thanks for making an old man his forever game!
Was playing Diablo IX as my first arpg, when someone told me that POE was better. Just downloaded it and stated playing today. Man there is a lot to learn, but I'm stoked at how much detail there is in the game's mechanics and math! Seems much more realistic and adaptable! This video is amazing btw and I joined both here and on Twitch. Thanks for all the info!
Started in crucible and smashed with cold dot vortex which was awesome for a new character. 400 hours deep now and finally getting a grasp on crafting, which has been a game changer. Use awakened poe and craft of exile and save yourself currency and a few keyboards
thanks for the cast without moving towards tip. I just got through part 1 for the first time. I am having a blast. I am sure my build is trash but its been fun to experiment. Happy new year
7:40 : the "no respec" is one of the worst thing of the game, hurting mainly new player, and adding nothing positive to the game. respec could just be free.
Thank you for the video! Coming from D4 and only played about 15 minutes of PoE when I first played it and saw the huge grid. Wanted to give it another shot this League.
Here we go, just started yesterday and I'm a level 10 summoner templar following a league starter build from maxroll.. I played a ton of D3 and D4 so maybe some mechanics will carry over, but so far POE seems like a different beast altogether
Hiya!! After loving POE & Diablo for thousands hours of gametime, I think you should cover Dwarven Realms releasing at the end of September, even in its early acess it been a massive blast combining POE-like gearing system combined with Roguelike of Vampire Survivors + Action RPG feeling of BDO in 3rd person being able to animation cancel dashes etc! And the Devs keep pushing out significant updates, changes and fixes daily and the community on discord is really chill and helpful
I’m brand new starting today for the new league. I’m gonna use videos and learn a shit ton, not too worried about the info grind. My question is, does playing on an Xbox with a controller ruin the experience at all? Cause that’s what I got and that’s what I’m using.
Really hoping this helps new players out. 51 minutes for a "very basic" understanding of Path may seem daunting, but this game has so much depth.. the pay-off is extremely worth the time investment if this is your type of genre.
Crazy how much you can know about this Game. Still you do not need to snd still have fun. Nevertheless your videos are like a library for PoE and thank you for that!
Ive tried so many times to like poe, it just doesnt do it for me. D4 isnt really in a great spot either though.I guess Ill try again this month and see if Im missing something. Either that or Im waiting for PoE 2 which looks like it might be what Im waiting for.
I didn't know about the holding control when going to a zone... I still have Tonsssss to learn but that will be a huge help so I can xp farm now..... Im lvl 65 and just learning this lol
So for a brand new player what Build do you recommend , that you dont use 600 key combos for and that is not super expensive if you try to trade for your gear, i know my rng is really bad in this kind of games allways have haha
Hi I'm new. I have played a lot of League of Legends and it is very difficult for me to play with the mouse clicks in reverse (In League of Legends you move with the right click). Is there a way to change it and leave the left click to only attack? Thanks in advance
In case you haven't found it by now: left click on the 3rd skillslot in the upper row. Change it to the "footsteps". Change the other slots however you like.
I have tried to play this game multiple times. I have a few characters in the 30s. I really WANT to like it, but I think the main thing I really dislike (hate) is the currency/economy aspect. Having to use 5 of one thing to make one other thing and do this two more times to buy a ring is absurd, unintuitive, and just unnecessary. I get it... "depth" and "diversity". Some things are fine without having to reinvent the wheel. This video is greatly helpful, though. I will watch the rest of the series and try the game again. But a game that needs a 4 part series to explain the "beginners' basics" is overly complicated and repelling to most would be players. I do understand that after you invest a couple hundred hours and reach the end game, it's great. But most players aren't going to invest that kind of time, unfortunately.
Ziz you are amazing for doing these. However the fact these are needed so badly exposes a real problem with the game. I hope POE 2 they find ways to teach the game better and more completely threw the story experience. This way we don't need to study to play the game at a higher level just to be successful. The game needs to be able to teach you how to play it and how all its systems work as you play it.
silly design for sure, keeps the game in a small niche community. As shitty as d4 is to "arpg purest" it'll always be bigger just off the eas of access to understand it all.
Tell us how we did by filling in this feedback form:

It would be highly appreciated, it only takes a couple of minutes.

Try not to wait to enjoy things. Try to enjoy them now where you're at.
The game definitely gets better the more time you put in it
PoE can feel overwhelming for quite a while and it's absolutely ok. That's an integral part of the journey imho
huh?
Great idea re-doing this videos every so often so the information stays up-to date!
800 hours in, still instinctively click on these videos.
2000 hours and already watched basically every video. Still watch every one and learn something every time

@@mopeyzl9137i Play since synthesis like 3k hours and still dont know shit
Hey im 200 hours in and i still cant make my own build(starter and non starter) do you make your own? And if so any tips?

Thanks for doing these videos. I’m planning to try POE for the first time this league and I’m trying to learn.
I always admire your gentleness and kindness, it's a rare trait for a streamer.
I was asking ppl for builds etc and instead they recommended me to watch u so here i am trying to learn from u and so far its going nice

Just start a new character, it only takes a day to get back to end-game.
@@docOld55 why lose a day ?
it is ~20 hours to do the 10 acts, for an average player.
@@paulamblard3836 That's what I said, it's only a day. Try doing that in WoW.
This is the main reason I’ve never tried the game.

Hello, thank you for this content. It's exactly what I needed to see and hear as a player on the fence. Will probably watch a few more times
3500 Hours and yet I still want to watch this
4000 here and I'm with you. Even if you don't learn anything new it's always beneficial to recount the basics

300h in and constantly learning new things. This game is overwhelmingly amazing.

are there endgame builds that dont require items to magicfind best droprate zones in game?

Have you checked out Last Epoch? For me it's the perfect middle ground between Diablo and LE
Last Epoch is sweet
Are they removing selling active gems with gcp to lvl 1 q20? Coz the way ziz mentioned it is that that recipe now only works on supp gems?
Should i not play the standard game if i am just starting out?
Will path of exiles standard mode provide a challenge for me and 3 friends?

As a starter with no currency it can be hard.
