Long time fan of Vortex, but I'd really love to see Steinar "Sverd" Johnsen in a sit-down with a good interviewer that can really pick his brain. Sverd is truly the mastermind behind Arcturus, and probably one of the most overlooked/underrated musicians in this "scene". He's rarely, if ever mentioned. Sverd's compositions are unique, haunting, beautiful, adventurous, and reminiscent at times of Bach, Beethoven, Motzart, maybe a little Haydn in the mix, and of course his own unique style. He's truly a brilliant mind and a talent to be reckoned with. Somebody, please make an interview with Sverd happen!

I hated how Shagrath was like Im king up here with the microphone... Always hear my growls and yet name the style symphonic which is just retarded. I agree to a point where all three of them Shagrath Silenoz and Galder ganged up against ICS Vortex and Mustis. I agree that no you should never forget your instrument but I HIGHLY disagree that their performance got worse. In reality the whole band got worse. I've heard bits where shagraths voice fucks out. Not fucking breathing enough I guess. He seemed cooler back in Spiritual Black Dimension days when he seemed to want to be a part of a group and not THE group by hogging the limelight. As for Mustis to steal his work with the whole Intellectual Properties trick was pretty shit to him he was and is such a masterpiece of musical tallent that all the old Dimmu albums greatly annihilate that piece of shit new album. To replace such clean nice vocals of ICS vortex with a screaching witch is utter disrespect to the fans. Another I found in their open letter against ICS Vortex and Mustis was them attacking the fans by having to dumb it down for us to understand. So fuck you Shagrath. Ill listen to musicians who actually can growl without their voices fucking out such as Nergal from Behemoth and George Corpsegrinder from Cannibal Corpse. Hell even Galder is better on vocals on his own stuff like Old Man's Child. Lastly their point of one of them smashing a glass bottle into their own head I wonder who drove them to that. Their last point of "How dare you auction our album on ebay with only your signature" Who cares its just one cd and if its for a fan then yeah. All I see here is greed from the other band members the ones who remain. Greed that they themselves are not getting a percentage of what little money their was going to mustis. I only ever listen to the old Dimmu albums now.
Vortex looks kind of frustrated or tired and the interviewer doesn't help that much, he was paying more attention to his notes than paying attention to he answers he was getting, good questions thou. I wonder what he means by "job", i mean what kind of job does he have?
