Hey ivan ive just learned about the kani basami or scissor takedown and have seen how it has consistantly broken a lot of ankles that it has been banned from competions. Ive seen these in both no gi and gi competitions. Ive heard that its because it either the person doing the the take down dosent know how to do it properly or the person bieng thrown dosent know how to to fall or a combination of both. My quistion is if im the person about to be taken down how can I avoid breaking my ankle once its already set up, or how to defend that takedown before its even set up. Also what is it exactly that causes these incidents people not knowing how to do the takedown properly or the person bieng taken down not knowing how to fall, Thank you very much your expertise would be very much appreciated.
Or can you make a video on this topic as there arent very good breakdowns on this, especially preventing or knowing what to do if your the one its bieng done on. Especially if the person doing it does it improperly.
In my opinion - people who don't know how to do takedowns are to blame..i will think about video

I don't know what result you have...experience...strength...too much factors...but all the knowledge that I give in my courses helped me become a two-time world champion
