Was so awesome to have the legendary Peter Brock up on the engine that day~~~ the man that designed the split window Corvette AND the Shelby Daytona Coupe!!! What a powerhouse of men on that platform!!!!!
Wow that is some machine pulling that plow and is the first one like this i seen as seen the one on wire and a plow being pulled between two machines but this was fantastic to see and watch and so lovely keep it going for many years more to come
Water expands at 1.700 times in volume when it becomes a gas. Steam is scary stuff for that reason. That big huge tractor and plow is all being pulled by that one relatively small piston/cylinder. Likely a compound steam engine too. So each stroke is a power stroke.
You seem to be confusing a double-acting piston/cylinder (which this is, and nearly all steam engines are) and a compound steam engine. You're correct that each stroke is a power stroke, because this is a double-acting piston/cylinder, but in a compound steam engine, the steam exhausted from the primary cylinder enters a secondary, larger diameter cylinder, where it does work again. This is a single cylinder engine where steam does push on both sides of the piston (double-acting), but the steam is exhausted at the end of each stroke as fresh steam is introduced to the other side of the cylinder/piston pushing the piston back. If this engine were a compound, you would either see another larger cylinder next to the first one, or across the other side of the boiler, or the second one would be mated in front of the primary cylinder (double the length seen here).
So nice to see all that land and no houses. They farm land here in Connecticut is slowly going away to developers. The kids dont want to farm they just want the money.
The physics of this doesn’t even make sense, but here it is, physicsing right along. How this thing doesn’t wheel spin with that much resistance is insane.
Absolutely fascinating got to be worlds record just incredible if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed it Case and John Deere working together like pees in a pod.
With it's massive 14 inch bore , It only has 150 HP, what's impressive is the torque @ 5000 ft lbs. That's 33.33 for everything 1 HP. For a better prospective. Consider The largest diesel power tractor in the world is the Big Bud 747 with 1100 HP produces 3100 ft lbs of torque. That's 2.81 lbs of torque for every 1 HP. The steam tractor may not be as convenient as the Big Bud, but it's way more efficient.
No, its not efficient. The efficiency is at 12% compared to up to 45% of a diesel engine. Also power is the product of torque and the rpm. So the high torque without the rpm isnt that good. But it is still very impressiv how much torque thid steam engine has.
I wouldn't bet on it. I have heard that the plow has already been pulled by some modern tractors, but I can't prove it at the moment. Also, there is a video out where this tractor has a tug of war with an HD41 dozer. It is pretty obvious that it is just for show and many felt that the dozer could have drug that tractor all over the place. I watched the video and didn't see anywhere where that dozer was even trying to pull, and I'm an experienced dozer operator. The steam tractor seemed to stall for a bit, then it would pull the dozer backwards a bit with the tracks appearing to free wheel backwards, then the tracks would stop moving and the steam tractor would again stall out. This was repeated a number of times. I am not trying to belittle the steam tractor, it is very impressive, but modern machinery is more than capable itself.
We used to help with Barnes steam show in Belgrade Mt. Those traction engines are extremely impressive. It was always fun riding the plows. Are they running coal or part an old inner tube for black smoke?
Kory needs to put up a handrail in front of the plows so somebody falls off. They don't get ran over just saying I always gotta think safety on the farm.
That is amazing, the amount of torque is phenomenal!
That Case 150 is an awesome and powerful machine! 51 plows... incredible. Thank you for sharing this with us. 🚜 🚂 👍
51 plows plus the weight of the people standing on it!!!!!!
Was so awesome to have the legendary Peter Brock up on the engine that day~~~ the man that designed the split window Corvette AND the Shelby Daytona Coupe!!! What a powerhouse of men on that platform!!!!!
Absolutely impressive! Glad I got to see her again in Burnett,WI this year. A true work of art Kory!
As you say, what a beast, just tons of torque!
That is some beautiful loamy soil there.
Wow that is some machine pulling that plow and is the first one like this i seen as seen the one on wire and a plow being pulled between two machines but this was fantastic to see and watch and so lovely keep it going for many years more to come
I am always impressed at the setup to pull the plows. The number of plows is growing over time. Thank you Kory, great show.
Merak ediyorum bu günkü traktörler bu pulluğu çekebilir mi
I hope Kory Anderson posts every location he plans to show the Case 150!
I really want to be able to go see it in person.
Soo cool....when things were built to last for sure
It is so hard job, but your tractor gives me my hope. Thanks You from Chuvash Republic from Russia.
Awesome. I hope to see the massive Case and meet you in person sometime soon. Thanks for the videos.
It sounds great! Love that one of these could be built to be enjoyed. 🙂
Really impressive machine!
old times, old machines are good like water on the desert
Thanks God for old, real/true America. God save/bless America !!!
That's an impressive pull. If I heard correct, each plow is 1500lbs? That's raw power coming from the mighty Case 150.
You did hear correctly. 76,000 lbs total.
That’s impressive for sure.

Awesome machine
Вот это сила , вот это мощ......
Думаю современные трактора даже имея двигатель в 1000лс.не потянут этот плужок
So nice to see all that land and no houses. They farm land here in Connecticut is slowly going away to developers. The kids dont want to farm they just want the money.
to think some guy whipped out a slide ruler and just put this monster on paper, then a guy a hundred of years later said f it, lets build a new one
What a beast !

This is so crazy for the time when it was built, and the torque must be insane ...

We have a local steam show at Williams Grove those steam engines back in the day were way underrated in terms of horsepower
Oh man i love it !! Power , todays fo called tractors dont compete with this raw power. No stopping steam power. I just love watching them
Absolutely fascinating got to be worlds record just incredible if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed it Case and John Deere working together like pees in a pod.
Pozdrowienia z Polski
Never a truer word said ?hit the nail on the head .
Gerçekten hayranlık verici. Acaba bu pulluğu bu günkü traktörler çekebilir mi gerçekten merak ediyorum 😮
Wow, big smart ass talk
@KoryAnderson, you need to come to great Oregon steam up on the last weekend in July and the first in August and bring the big girl out
Отличная машина ! С приветом из России !👍
I apologize for our nut case in the White House.
Really great
I have 2 case eagles in front of my building that have been sitting there for over 40 years
Its all about how to direct the energy from coal to steam to gears to the wheels ,
Amazing farming
The computing power of that human running all them sensors is amazing o hang on no computers no sensors how on earth does this work???
It never gets old seeing that beast in action. How much torque you got ? How much do you need?
Nice video, Like
❤ LOVE TO THIS IN PLOWING 4000 ACRES TO 15000 ACRES. OLD SCHOOL CRAFTSMAN POWER 😂🎉😅😊
This makes me harder than a 2 week old loaf of bread. Great stuff!
Que bela máquina
THIS BEAST IS LIKE BIG BOY 4014 . PURE STEEL,FIRE BREATHING SMOKE MACHINE. MAN POWER FILLING THE COAL IN.❤
Una belleza.
สุดยอดเครื่องจักร
WOW, That is impressive.
That’s how you really roll coal💪 that’s a thing of beauty!!! Thanks for sharing
waoo ! Your video is amazing
What a beast it is.
Cumon man, let the machinery speak for itself. 😮
This is not a machine is my emotion❤
❤❤So is this just something done at trade shows or something like just for fun ???
The power of steam 😎
Hello friend good night 🖐️🖐️😍🤭🤭🤭
Wow, how much HP has this beautiful tractor.

What if someone fell backwards... can it be stop immediately...?
대단한 드랙터 ㅎㅎ
저 인원이 쟁기로 갈면 더 빠를 듯 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
Deere never made a tractor that could pull that many plows.
I wouldn't bet on it. I have heard that the plow has already been pulled by some modern tractors, but I can't prove it at the moment. What is the highest rpm of any spinning part of this machine?
AMERICA!
By all means; someone point to me a modern tractor that can pull that many plows at one time😁
Build one with diesel oil injection and you could sell it to the large farmers.
👋👍
What's the head pressure on that beast? Looks and sounds awesome!!!
Goose Bumps🤗😎🤗😎
Bet they have no problems with clearing codes
have fun plowing headland with that ;)
Shmoovin
This tractor blows out almost as much smoke as Kamela Harris does.
Out of her ass?
😂😂
Yes, if she wins America is in BIG TROUBLE
@@TheTornPrince01 Thats the truth. I just think we Americans, as a whole, are smarter than to put this moronic imbecile in the White House.
Kamala....
Would be nice to see how they get it turned around.
Farmers feed the world
is there only one cylinder on this set up?
😊😊 YEP U said it that's the real coal smoke not diesel smoke they also have that saying 4 diesel tractors 😊😊 OMG 9 17 2O24
Is it some kind of legal requirement that American farmers must always wear a baseball cap and coveralls?
We used to help with Barnes steam show in Belgrade Mt. Those traction engines are extremely impressive. It was always fun riding the plows. Are they running coal or part an old inner tube for black smoke?
Rollin coal 🔥
No Coal ? No steam including for houses in winter !.
And now I read that John Deere no longer makes plows
Not a loss, their plows were terrible
This has to go to a tractor pull at some point… surely
150 horse power 3000 ft torque.
How can that spur gear survive?
I wonder how many more plows could be pulled?
How much coal per mile does she get.
How deep?
I have a ford 8n it stops with one plow if it gets to deep😂
Kory needs to put up a handrail in front of the plows so somebody falls off. They don't get ran over just saying I always gotta think safety on the farm.
Green new deal
5000 foot pounds of torque
Capable of 8,000 ft lbs.
What is the weight of this tractor anyway?
Loaded/wet around 70000 ~ 75000 thousand pounds
24 furrows
Монстр
I like how you fast forward ⏩ the video 2x it sounds like a helicopter 😂
man, I'm pretty sure that a machine like that would make the entire planet Earth spin backwards...
Show
So how much actual weight is he pulling
Sab Kuchh India ka khajana hai
🙀😮🙀
That is some homosexual ploving!
Kids these days, dont know what farming is. Its how u live/survive. Everyone seems to think everything just comes from the store
