There are not adequate words to describe the pride and joy you Cory and your team must feel accomplishing such a great task building this mighty machine! Well done!
Kory, I am so proud of you for creating this incredible 150. It is a priceless gem. I would be biting my nails having it travelling on the highways. I know it is being done right but so many traction engines have been destroyed doing that. Your engine is something to be proud of. It is a great asset for the world of traction engines.
What a truly incredible machine you all have built. I wish you gentlemen were able to make to the east coast here in Kinzer Pennsylvania to 75th anniversary threshermans show at Ruff and Tumble this year. Would have been a unbelievable site to many over this way that love steam. Thank you for bringing this machine to life once again
I wish I could go to that show,I was trained by an older gentleman with a Case engine at my dad's gas and steam show ,loved the power and the smells of steam power, good luck, was able to run a load of oats with his guidance
Been following the story of your 150 for quite a while - and i finally got to see this gargantuan machine move! Extraordinary! Great timing too, just a few days ago on 02 August, i joined the case family when I drove home my new-to-me 1959 Case 311B! Cheers! JD
Impressive, Kory! I don't know how that trailer is able to withstand the weight and size of that massive machine. Appreciate your willingness to take the 150 out on the road so many others can see and enjoy it. Safe travels to and from Wisconsin!
Thanks for the insight Kory. Yeah, that's the big drawback to having and moving big toys! It takes an army of equipment and personal just to move it to the various exhibits. But we do appreciate all that you go through to let us see it.
A delicate process, but I wouldn't expect anything less. After all, the build itself was a delicate and time consuming process. Can't wait to see it reunite with the land of CASE this weekend! See you there, Saturday!
Weight of two Cat D7G with angle blade and ripper. Traction locomotive machine for anyone else to touch the controls ever has "know that steam boiler is living machine under steam and power steam explosion." Beautiful piece of hard work re-created.
Thanks for the video. I was hoping you were going to show the logistics of moving the largest steam traction engine when I saw it was heading to Wisconsin.
Kory will you be coming to the american threshermans show in pinckneyville IL ? case is the featured tractor this year and it would be amazing to see that thing there. they hook one to the tractor pulling sled at the end of the open tractor pull every year sure would be cool for that to be you ! hope to se you guys there we would love to bring more attention to the show
Kory, what is the possibility of running the engine on compressed air, via a industrial portable compressor with a long hose attack to it, just for loading purpose. Maybe not possible but just wondering. Love that awesome machine, 👍👍🇺🇲
Honestly might have been easier to just find some rocks to use as ramps. I really dont understand why someone would put squishy old wood to ramp a 70 thousand pound ish tractor made of cast iron and steel but it sure looked cool to watch it turn to spaghettis! They sure brought the right truck though. Out of curiosity how pancaked together was all that wood after all was said and done because it looks to be one solid chunk of spaghettis now lol. Last thing I promise and I do not know if this has already been touched on or not but approximately how many man hours went into this gorgeous engines reconstruction?
Wow that's a big a@@ Case!! Got a picture of me driving while plowing and my buddy as the fireman on a Case 40hp. I think 1914 but can't remember after 30 plus years. Such a unique sound hearing the bull gears growling. The annual Republic Missouri steam engine show is worth a trip.
I just watched the post where this did it's pull and I was wondering how they load it.......well waddaya know. Thumbs up!! What does this amazing machine weigh?...never mind....68000 lbs dry.
Hey Kory, couldn’t you run the engine to give you power steering off of compressed air? I know it would take a big compressor to get her up to pressure. And I’m not sure how many CFM would be needed to run it for steering. Probably not a practical idea or you’d have done it.
My grandfather had big boilers for sawmills delivered by rail. Probably get as close as you could and then a long overland drive. Bridges were always a concern.
Drop-Deck Trailer. Need Room to get the tractor unhitched and pulled away from the trailer so it can be driven around to the other end to winch the steam engine on with.
Planning on making the 2 Hour Trip up there on Saturday as it's probably the closest to home it will ever be for me unless it makes it to Edgerton Wisc some time which would be half the distance. Followed The Build on SmokStak since the beginning, and then on Facebook and through the UA-cam videos but seeing it In Person has been a Goal of mine since Day One of the Planning Stages. Missing Our Own Local Show at Freeport IL just to see THIS.
Common to use compressed air to operate steam equipment when steaming isn’t practical. Imagine that could have allowed it to be driven onto the trailer instead of this laborious process.
Need to go super slow. I’m sure you’ve seen equipment slide off of trailers while they’re loading or unloading. This this barely fits on the trailer anyway and with steel wheels it’s no joke. I’d take my time to after building this from scratch.
Awesome video. The first time I saw the 150 was Rollag. Now I only need to travel 60 miles on Friday to see it again!!!!!!

Great video Kory, thanks. Working in UK haulage and Plant hire for over 40 years, that was great to watch. Safe travels, and take care. 👍👍

Followed this build. Pray to God that I get to see it in person! Thank you for all you do!
You guys make it look so easy! Having the right tools for the job is a big part, but it's still not a piece of cake to load and unload these monsters!

That trailer is low hope it does not get stuck on a RR crossing.
I’m in the heavy haul biz. You just add a axel for every 20K lbs we have moved 285K before .
As a current Case Engineer it is really exciting to finally be able to see this in person! We have tickets for the dinner on Saturday night
My grandfather was a Case dealer over 100 years ago, wish he was still alive to see this
What was his name
Id be such a mess worrying about shipping that big beautiful one of a kind beast. 🙏 clear sailing ❤
Truly extraordinary and colossus machine. Thank you for the view.
Not sure if I saw the 150 today but I think it might have been, either way seeing a big steam engine on a truck was a neat sight!
Thanks for the insight Kory. Yeah, that's the big drawback to having and moving big toys! It takes an army of equipment and personal just to move it to the various exhibits. But we do appreciate all that you go through to let us see it.
Darn! I wish I'd had known Cory was bringing the 150 to Wisconsin 2 weeks ago I'd have been there
Saw you today getting fuel at the pilot. This thing is sweet!
68,000 pounds of awesome! Thank you so much for sharing!
That is one amazing tractor! Was great to see it in person on Friday!
Always exciting to see a new video!!! What a machine.
That would be a helluva sight to see going down the interstate!
A delicate process, but I wouldn't expect anything less. After all, the build itself was a delicate and time consuming process. Can't wait to see it reunite with the land of CASE this weekend! See you there, Saturday!
You may want to consider a temporary mount on the centerline for a green laser. It would help on ensuring you're back up straight.
I want to see the beauty of steam one day
Weight of two Cat D7G with angle blade and ripper. Traction locomotive machine for anyone else to touch the controls ever has "know that steam boiler is living machine under steam and power steam explosion." Beautiful piece of hard work re-created.
Hope to see it in Rollag, Mn later this month!
Thanks for the video. I was hoping you were going to show the logistics of moving the largest steam traction engine when I saw it was heading to Wisconsin.
What a historic beauty, WOW
It was awesome to meet you Kory and Ride the tractor today! It was amazing. Keep it up!
The Case 150, what a beast!!!
If you're at Mabel in September i hope to buy you guys a hot dog or 2. Thanks for taking it on the road
Try Edgar Wisconsin, last full weekend of August. Wonderful show
Impressive machine for sure 👍🏻😀🇺🇸

Jay Leno uses compressed air to move his steam tractor in and out of storage.
I think I’d still winch it just to be able to go super slow. I probably would use compressed air to use the power steering though.
That is the most incredible machine ❤❤❤
How much insurance do you carry on the engine? Always get nervous when I see expensive stuff put on a truck
Damn that thing is huge but i love it
Thank You
right trailer for the job !
hi there one nice machine john
May see you here in Wisconsin, drive safe on road.
Dodge County, Wisconsin is about 1 hour drive north, northwest of Racine, Wisconsin, home to Case IH Tractors. Have fun
Couldn't you also engage the clutch so when the pulley spins it'll drive the power steering?
Steam inspires. I think I know what my next project is.

Very Nice!!!

I had planned to go to Wisconsin but problems with the motorhome came up. It's a real bummer
Could you not plumb a little gasoline air compressor into the steering circuit and use it to operate the steering?
Thanks
If you came the show at Edgar Wisconsin, I would be able to see it.
What do you need for permits to haul the Case

Wonder what states the 150 will visit next?
How would they have delivered them originally
Likely by train to the closest major hub, then driven to their destination
How were these moved long distance back in the when they we built
there was an old guy here in Spokane Washington that had one of those for years, i dont know what his family did with it after he passed away
Please tell me while your up in wisconsin you'll take it past the Edgar steam and gas engine show steam tractors are the main feature this year
👍
Does that thing use Ford Focus cars as wheel chocks?
😉👍😊
What are the dates and location of this event the 150 is going to?
If you're close to that machine and it gets wheel spin - run for your life!
Where in WI ya’ll heading???
What HP is it making
"Armstrong" power steering.
Cuántas toneladas tendrá??
u should bring it to park river nd for the north east norhdakota pioneer association for there thrasing bee the end of agust
what's it cost to move it 600 miles with wide load permit!!!??? what's the hieght loaded on trailer!!??
What's the weight on that steam tractor?
He said about 68,000
I wonder how they would have transported the 150 to it's new owner?
My grandfather had big boilers for sawmills delivered by rail. Probably get as close as you could and then a long overland drive. Bridges were always a concern.
What day s are you in Wisconsin
Friday August 4th - Sunday August 6th, 2023
Stopping over a winch rope when it's pulling a load. Really???
i wonder if they can pump her up with air, and then drive herself on the trailer
Why not pull it off
30000 pounds !!
For ease of use, why not weld a wheel to the bottom of the steering shaft so you dont need to use a wrench??
Um why not back the trailer right up to the wheels to ensure alignment?
Drop-Deck Trailer.
Need Room to get the tractor unhitched and pulled away from the trailer so it can be driven around to the other end to winch the steam engine on with.
Baker steam engines are better than cases
Why start so far from the loader?
Have to get the truck off the front of the trailer.
Planning on making the 2 Hour Trip up there on Saturday as it's probably the closest to home it will ever be for me unless it makes it to Edgerton Wisc some time which would be half the distance.
