And the Obama campaign made sure everyone knew that McCain didn't understand economics. That's a major part of McCain's loss. He also linked himself to Sarah Palin who was repeatedly proven to be an airhead. She was running for VP and on national TV she couldn't even say what the VP's constitutional duties are. Palin was McCain's albatross. McCain lost for a number of reasons, but not because he had the decency to shut down a vile attack on Obama's character.
