    I once had a conversation with a successful electrical engineer and that man told me that I can also go a study so I can become a successful engineer like him but now I'm stuck looking for an opportunity but I can't get any
    Comparing yourself to other people's success will take you no where

    Fortunate people are those raised with a silver spoon in their mouth. Those that have both parents, a roof over their head and proper guidance throughout their life.

    Peterson is great and all, but the constant interuptive crowd applause is quite annoying lol.

      He touches on metaphysical dimensions that draw that transcendental aspect of the soul out of people... like how musicians and rock stars on a stage telling their own stories of discoveries through songs. No wonder they cheer and scream. It's contact with what's good and what's true and what's thriving.

    Which is why I don't have access to social media, no friends, and barely spoke to anyone for the past 10 years.

    I don't really find it helpful when people tell you to imagine the person you're jealous of as secretly struggling. What if they're actually not? What then?

    • @dean_s
      @dean_s 2 роки тому +5

      What does it matter whether they struggle or not though? That's the point of his talk. What others are doing is none of our business and to focus on ourself. That way you don't have this comparison trying to be matched with one another.

    • @anneangeles

      Obviously, you do not get the point. Oh my.

      @@anneangeles Could you please explain the point? I'm here to learn.

      @piggytsai2226 Рік тому

      I understand your point. Some people just have everything and they’re actually happy.
      But they’re not you. Your conditions are different from theirs and they don’t struggle with the same problems.
      Life is not fair anyway.

    • @emjay1249
      @emjay1249 Рік тому

      U need to have perspective. There's plenty of people wishing to have your fortunes and your troubles. Life is not fair and it's treating everyone differently. But generally for the vast majority of people life is often difficult

    Love how he pauses when they start clapping and he looks tired of giving speeches that people should already have learned the contents of.

    its very realistic but it's not helpful. it's easy to be better than others by tearing them down, it's a lot more challenging to be better than who you were yesterday by building yourself up.

    True--you don't know others internally. The world is rough and mean. As Jordan Peterson said, "the world is against you . . . obviously." But as I told my own subscribers, many times the greatest enemy in life can be yourself. And you make yourself an enemy by comparision to others. If you make 80K a year and have 200K in the investment arenas you will feel badly if you have a friend who makes 250K and has a million in his. But you will feel good about yourself if you compare yourself to someone who makes 30K and has nothing in his accounts. But maybe that 250K person works 80 hours a week and hasn't had a vacation in ten years. The point is, your journey is yours. How much you want to work and gain to get the greatest benefits you can from your short time on earth---and most of those benefits, my friends, are not financial. Hope this helps someone----Charles

      a the dude who makes 30k year may feel bad about it. Until he realizes he is 6'2'' and still has a full head hair while you at 80k a year are 5'6'' and balding 🤣🤣🤣🤣
