The comic timing in the first five minutes is gold. Robbie insisting Rob puts his feet up, Rob trying to work out if anyone named Rob has a knighthood. Great chemistry.
Not to mention Robbie’s guilty, ‘pikey’ feeling about grabbing some cardboard!😉✌️
What a nice chap Robbie has turned out to be I wish him well
"Getting to the top of the mountain and realising there's nothing there." That's really quite a profound way to describe his position. Great pod Rob(s)!
I saw Rob Brydon aged 11 at Edinburgh Festival, he signed a poster. He was lovely to everyone and I'll never forget it. He asked me if i was welsh because of my name and I just didnt know what to say but he was kind and funny.
I have that popcorn machine... now if I just had the looks, the body and the talent, the money and charisma i could be Robbie Williams
What a great interview. Robbie is so intelligent and real. Rob did a great job letting him talk. Perfection.
Robbie has a great personality. Very charismatic but still a regular lad despite all the fame.
❤great Netflix documentary byw, I had never know of him; so at 76 years of age, I am now a follower; loving all that comes my way.
Robbie looking bright eyed and happpy unlike in that netflix doc where he looks crushed
The whole documentary was a misery fest! Robbie just looking back on his life with despair. I get he had problems but surely there were good times too. I think Robbie is a half empty kind of guy. Everything is doom and gloom with him.
@@startracker5895 agree. He made godzillions too. Factory workers would not be impressed with his woe is me attitude.
Auch da sieht er gut aus ...robbie sieht immer git sus😂❤
❤❤❤
The Netflix doc was a restrospective and he was reflecting on where he’s come from and how he redeemed himself. I think it was a victory story.
I stopped this video half way and binge watched The Robbie Williams 4 part series. Amazing! You are loved Robbie, thank you for taking us along on your own journey. God Bless.
i love this! feels so natural, full of comedy. great questions, love robbie. and rob, pls put your feet up 😂 it's ok to do it without shoes. going to see part 2.
Feels like two close friends catching up 👌
Listened to the whole thing in the drive to London from N Wales today. Loved it. A really great, natural, honest chat.
Paused half way to enter this comment. What a wonderful duo to watch. They both seem relaxed, candid, easy-going which makes us feel the same way. Thank you both for such a pleasurable conversation. Two posiitve, strong souls to be taken as role models.
I totally get everything Robbie is saying about the doubt in which one of you is turning up on stage, I truly believe it isn't just him who thinks that. Great interview.
Shout to Robbie for recognising Prince Lovesexy era as the 🐐
Watched the Netflix. Listened to this in its entirety in the car today. This felt somehow more honest. Love all the Brydon & podcasts, but this was a particular highlight
Robbies little giggles make me smile so much ❤
I love Robbie Williams, have for years.
Rob telling Robbie he should see the folly of his thinking is just about the most hilarious thing I’ve seen in months.
I admire Robbie's honesty and courage. Great chat.
Love Robbie’s documentary and this podcast conversation with Rob Brydon. He has the brightest most charming eyes and smile. Love hearing him laugh/ giggles, his humour, storytelling. My fave member of Take That. ♥️❤🤍😍😘🥰🤩 🌟 ✨ 🎙️ 😆
Honestly Robbie should have his own podcast on the regular. I for one would tune in! 🙋🏻♀️
Also, chill out people, do you see how clean the bottom of his trainers are? They look new. He can put them on his own couch if he wants to! 😉👍
What?! The world's two greatest Roberts, so excited
Loved Robbie in the Netflix , never knew what he went through and the nasty newspapers , Such a talented singer I wish him well and to continue to entertain us ,he is so talented ,happy to see he has a great wife and family
absolutely love this duo
Beautiful interview. Thank you Rob(bie)(s)
Love this conversation so real ❤
great show and love the detail it addresses - so brilliant - love it
Two of the best and most authentic 👍
I love these two individuals
Great interview!
Really enjoyed that, Rob 2 Robbie…. so did they!
What a wonderful interview
Great interview!
Thanks
I love to listen to Rob Williams 😊
One of the most interesting interviews that I had ever seen fo Robbie and (I´ve seen a lot) Congrats to the Interviewer, you have done a great job!!!
Excellent interview. Excellent interviewer! I’m so glad I happened upon this channel.
Another 10/10
Oh I loved this interview! 😍 A $240 breakfast inspired him to create a hotel residency for artists in Dubai - BRILLIANT.
What a lovely man you are Robby x
Thanks Rob x2
Rob ❤ and Rob ❤. Win win x
This was brilliant 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love Robbie, seen him live twice, yes he's cocky but can step up to the plate and perform live as a musical icon God.. Karma Killer, Phoenix from the flames, Come undone, I could go on. Yes he's been cocky but he just makes me smile, you get him or you don't, I do
😅"😴😴now, go 😴😴now". 😅Love all his interviews, he so relatable and down to earth, vulnerable and great story teller. 🎶oobee do🎶I wanna he like you,🎶
great video with phillyboz.❤
Always makes me laugh when rob talks about take that and I always think that James corden went for the auditions 👍👍
I remember bumping into you Sir Robert Brydon on my honeymoon at the Eden project. I hope I wasnt one of those people that have a stroke when they meet you. As far as I can remember it was a pleasure. I wonder if you can remember that? Back in 2011.
I wish Rob Brydon would do at least one of these meets as Uncle Bryn . Pretty please Rob, just one time to shut me up, such a big fan of you and your character in Gavin & Stacey. I for one, would love it if you did that.
This could have turned out to be two performers navel-gazing. But it was one of the most fascinating chats about performing and fame I've heard. Nice one.
Mr Brydon, many years ago Robbie and I got into a fight, or two. He won both times. True story. I've never shared beyond my friend group, so this feels good.
4:46 - lol - classic Brydon.
When you go to bed and switch the lights off and you can sleep, contented - you have made it!
I'm sorry. There appears to be some mistake. This ended way too early.......oooh that was part one! Nice
I saw showaddywaddy too, first concert 😂
I clicked on this so fast omg
You two are gorgeous 💙
Rob: Please revisit Rob regularly. Maybe Rob can go to Rob's place next time (and remember to keep his feet off Rob's furniture).
I have lived in the Bahamas since 1982 - cannot sing or name one of his songs - sorry. Seems a very nice bloke enjoyed the talk with Brydon.
Don’t be sorry & don’t worry. Not everyone can be expected to be aware of ALL artistes or all genres of music. ‘Bahamas’, eh! Nice ‘name drop’, lol. I got married there in ‘93 (Green Turtle Cay). Beautiful place. Lovely people.
Surly you would know some of this songs if you heard them, they are too famous not to know. Unless you live on a dessert Island.
Put your foot up Rob ...the other one is already on the couch!
"Classic story of somebody getting to the top of the mountain and realising there's nothing there"
But he has his shoe on the couch...🤔😂 (Robert the interviewer)
8:05 😂
What about Bobby? We have a Robert in my family (cousin) and we call him Bobby. It's very Godfather - "Hey Bobby watch the oranges ya know? The oranges Bobby, the oranges".
Try watching 'Human Remains' comedy by Rob Bryson , amazing character comedy gold!
👍👍 Does Rob read these comments?
8 dogs in another country! Yeh time to reign it in. That’s odd. Rock n Roll. Nice interview
Ha! Like the HULK!
Why is it that in this interview both people are talking normally, and their microphones are at least a metre from them, and I can hear every word. Yet in most podcasts there seems to be a need for the speakers to have their faces obscured by huge microphones and pop filters, and the mic is mere inches from their mouths. I wonder if it's just to flex that they can afford some high-tech sound equipment?
edit: Just saw the lapel mikes. lol
What was robbies question to rob, before he went off on the shoe on sofas bit
What are you talking about Rob, you've got your shoe on the couch from the start!
Tell Robbie 70 year old Rick Wakeman was playing on stage recently and just wandered off....for a pee! :)
What about U2 ? They're also in there eighties.
Eh, Robbie, may I stay in your Los Angeles home, this summer? We'll tidy up when we leave? Promise.
He doesn't have that place anymore, where you been? lol
Robbie needs a Great interviewer e.g. Graham Norton because hes a Great interviewee...
Rob is a great interviewer though
Er...'it's all downhill from 50'? No, it's most certainly not, you're 100% wrong. I'm 65, nearly 66. I work, there's a lot of air travel involved, loads of hotels, Houston is on the horizon, I ride a pushbike regularly, you're so wrong. Sorry, but you are. Love the Robbie interviews, by the way, and the others, all of them. Brilliant!
That's what you need to hear when you suffer from depression and are 49 years old: It's all down hill after 50".
At 52, I think I'm becoming wiser. Until the body or mind break down, I think it gets better.
My 50’s have been marvellous
TAKE THAT ?? you mesn.. TOOK THAT !!
Eh?
I had no idea that I actually like him
Questions putting feet up but had no problem with walking around the house in shoes...
I still have a bit of a resentment towards him for how cruel he was to Gary Barlow. Gary, was on the brink of suicide when that all went down.
3:04 Sir Robert Charlton, late great football legend.
100th comment.
RW NEEDS A MATE !
I think half of Robbie's problems cme from being from a working class background. They really take the confidence out of you at school, quite the opposite attitude people have who went to private school.
#giverobbrydonaknighthood
🤣
Theres a lot of pressure on his shoulders. Did he get that underground swimming pool extension done and sorted out with Jimmy next door yet?
I undertsand Robbie not in his scale, of course. I'm an introvert and have axienty and my work consists in talking in public and I hate it...
Butlins /pontins no 1 performer ….
I'm not a body language expert, but you can clearly see robbies Impostor syndrome kicking in at 13:51 he doesn't look comfortable at all.
Ashley Jensen is the most beautiful woman in the world.
those shoes aren't dirty
Very enjoyable albeit a little strange episode. Heartfelt, but slightly stilted at times.
*Note* : Each individual thing in that room costs more than your house
Except Brydon’s socks, perhaps!😉✌️
mate ?
The documentary was rather disappointing. There wasn’t much talk of Take That. Never even mentioned his parents and how they reacted to Robbie’s addictions and mental health problems. He glossed over past relationships and never said why he split up with them.
“Getting to the top of the mountain and realising there’s nothing there…” he says, sitting in luxury, not a financial care in the world. Success that affords him the pleasure of having a family, giving them everything they want.. Completely out of touch with the struggles of the many.
This is easier to watch than listen to on the podcast as I found it annoying the way Robbie talks. With. Lots. Of. Pauses. In. Between. Words. Alot.
Sisyphus
Lovely chap....always thought he was abit of a dick, sometimes it's nice to be wrong.
It's not shocking that's his feet is on his furniture but wearing a hat inside his own house.
