There's many ways to doing the hip roof the way I do it start at the top ice cream down one side straight at the bottom of that I go 90 degrees and I take that screen straight as an arrow and then I go back to the top I'll pull down and that's where the extra screen will pull all the way down to the bottom and then from that corner I'll go back to the end where the 90 finished there's other ways of doing it that's the way I do
Love the video. I dont understand why yal have these nice walk boards amd you dont use 2 and roll all the 2x2 in. Sheeting isn't for the Pros👍 They will never last as long as mine being sheeted💪
You’d have to watch it up close. It’s a trick bag. The spline is side specific and has to rolled in the groove a certain way, to name a couple things. You can just slap it on, but it might not be taught and straight
Screen doesn’t shrink in the heat. If it’s fiberglass it expands in the heat much less than the aluminum frame so the frame pulls it apart. If it’s steel it also expands only half as fast as the aluminum frame. Same results don’t stretch it too tight.
picks come in different lenghts or you can get expandable wood ones ainters use. It's scary one slip and its no longer worth it. I have your problem but am waiting for help
do you just lay screen over the long supports and just spline the one side you can reach? Or do you also spline the supports running long ways away from you?
Our insurance adjuster told us it should NOT be sheeted. Each one needs to be splined. If a high wind or tree branch damaged one square, it would be less expensive to replace. Also hurricane winds would take the whole row OUT and you would have less protection until it’s rescreened. In our case after Hurricane Erma, it was 6 months.
@@IrishAnnie Honestly if you wanna save your cage from a hurricane or atleast try to, would be to cut the panels or pull the spline so wind can flow through the cage better bc the screen acts like a sail and will destroy the metal
what would you guys charge per square panel if I was only needing to replace about three different squares? One on top, one on the angle and one on the side.
Must cut in after sheeting!🤯 If you don't cut it in, when one panel on top fails they all fail in the same run. What I don't believe is that the guy did this when he knew he was on film. Why would you film yourself ripping people off? 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️(DOHHHHH) If you're in Central Florida you are better off just going with another company. I swear by Sunstate Screening. 🌞
Sheeting is cheating! . I hate when I show up to at job and I have to tell the customer that I have to replace The whole straight run bc the last guy sheeted it.
If you were a real pro you would be walking the roof not using walk beams!!!! Lmfao😁😂😀😂😂😂😂 I can do that entire roof and cut it in my self in 3 hours 4 hours max. No walkboards.. All i need is an 8ft ladder to get on the roof. The rest is history. These guys are rookies.
Yeah then you realise walking on beams isn't what it's cracked up to be and when u really think you're good you go back to a walk board because you realise it's faster ,safer, and your man hood isn't on the line
What’s it matter walk board or not the guy is making money 😂 I do both just depends on the job I have fell through a perlin and screws were rusted so walk board for the win
Those walk boards are expensive but awesome . Good luck with a 2nd story rescreen. That is way up in the air over 20ft+ . I skipped those.
How long is that walkboard and where on earth did you find it?
Probably 20’ or 24’. But you can get them 8’-30’…WERNER makes them
Can you post more videos and explain where to start on the roof and how to do the hip panels

I start hips in middle and start bottom up and finished from top
Flip the spline to the inside 1/2 turn before rolling. It will roll much easier.
It would take me under an hour to screen that roof fully.
Bro what’s the name of the stuff where he’s standing up ? I want to do this job my self. Any advice. Thanks

Great video. Does that platform that he's walking on stay ontop of the gutter?? What if the gutter is loose?
we cheek it before we go on it I hang on it or we put a new screw next to the beam into the gutter and fascia
The gutter holds up the whole cage
Not trying to be difficult with you, but you never actually covered the how part, just watching people work is not a tutorial.

Don't pull or stretch the spline. It will shrink in the heat. Pro tip...
Twist the spline... twice over into the panel...

Yeah but what if you just had to replace the middle top? How would that be done without taking down one of the sides?
picks come in different lenghts or you can get expandable wood ones ainters use. It's scary one slip and its no longer worth it. I have your problem but am waiting for help
I wanna see how to taut the corners
Thats the way you do it with the walk board. I do the same thing, But why trim the slants on left and sheet all the rest?
What do you do if it's just the middle top to replace how would you get to it?
do you just lay screen over the long supports and just spline the one side you can reach? Or do you also spline the supports running long ways away from you?
two long splines hold the run in
Do you guys always sheet the top. Or did you just not show the people how to cut The purlins in?

stupid question what is the metal platform the guys are standing on called i've looked up scaffolding but nothing pops up.thanks
wanger staging
A walk board
Pros don’t need walkboards
Lol
That’s some shoddy shit rolling over the perlins fly by the night
I hate to say most companies do that nowadays not just fly by night anymore

Skipping the purlins haha cheap n fast and cost the customers later on
Why do you guys roll over the perlins?
its not necessary but if they request it we will split the perlins a upgrade

Palermo, be honest. You can walk on the beams because you are less than 5 foot tall and weight 80 lbs.
Then weres your videos at gug

The beams Do Not Bend, lol I can do 1000sq ft in 2 hours walking beams
You walking those beams, you psycho?
Not to rolling the 2x2s? Lol that's not "how you do it"
This wasn’t helpful at all
