- The late, great, Ray Moore, who worked as a DJ on BBC Radio 2 during the 1980's, who sadly died of throat cancer in 1989. Here he sings his single 'The Bog Eyed Jog' that he recorded for Children in Need.
Hard to believe that it's nearly 30 years since we lost Ray Moore to cancer. He was a great Gentle man.
I remember being about 10 when this was used on Radio 2 for children in need by Terry Wogan. I'm 46 now
Ahhh it was worth getting up at 3 in the morning and going to work driving me truck, to be able to listen to Ray.. I still call Gatwick, Gatport Airwick as he did.
Memories of radio 2 when it was worth listening to.

How I miss Ray Moore
Never forgotten, always made me smile in the mornings. I still call my wife Management and still think of a mixed gorilla. RIP. PS. My father bought a rabbit but he thought it was a duck....
Awwww Ray! Loved the humour of this song, just like the show! 💓
I’ve had this song in my head for 10 years and have spent days trying to find it. Finally, it isn’t a figment of my imagination, thank you.
He was a great BBC One Announcer!
