I like the soda bottle or better yet the BONG (have to convince the bong seller what you are using it for lol)use since it bubbles out the side tube. I allow the bubbles to cascade over the leather. I do like your video, quite easy to follow along.
Do you recommend tooling the leather before or after marbling or doing the bubble dying? also does antiquing to fill any cuts, impressions or texture ruin the marbling? New at the dying process so appreciate it :)
I definitely recommend tooling or carving prior to dying. You want the leather cased in it’s natural state to work on. I haven’t personally marbled a tooled piece, but I imagine it would be just fine to antique over as long as it is properly sealed. I think it would look quite nice, the antiquing will make the tooling really stand out :)
Might also try a base color first than do the bubble affect. Such as a yellow base followed by a green bubble affect. Or a black bubble affect over a base color

Very cool, I love the colors you used! I'm trying out the shaving cream method this weekend.

Very cool! And messy, but I think that's half the fun
SO much fun ☺️ I like to work on cheap masking paper (comes in huge rolls at Home Depot) so I can just bundle it up and recycle it when I’m done.
@@dadhands I save boxes and open them up for that, of the weekly mail ads. I'm gonna try the bubbles with on some t shirts, bubble dye lol
@@dougmulle2627 I love that!!! I bet those t-shirts will turn out rad! 🙌🏻
If I only wasn't so lazy and actually get out the paints!!! Awesome video though!!
