I have tried to make the same point by pointing out that "phobia " means "irrational fear". I don't have a fear of transvestites, I am repelled by the mocking parodies men like Dylan Mulvaney do to demean real women. He is a disgusting portrayal of a woman. Actually, because he is an intact, effeminate homosexual male, he is despised for his terrible attempt to act like a real woman. He is a truly awful actor.

    • @sydneykendall7125
      @sydneykendall7125 9 місяців тому +11

@@eddardgreybeard I thought the people with beards and girl hair and eye-liner were non-binary and the fluid ones were the ones whose genders switch from time to time, as in this morning I feel female and this afternoon I've morphed male, and this evening I feel non-binary... oh wait, no, I've flipped back to female again while I was watching the jewelry channel and saw that sparkly butterfly pendant done in pink Bella Luce crystals.
I can understand someone feeling genderless/non-binary, I guess, feeling neither masculine or feminine. But the gender fluid idea seems to me to be a matter of moods that we all experience. For example, there are certain situations that emphasize my femininity and I'm acutely aware of myself as a woman. But other situations draw upon what stereotypically are considered more masculine or gender neutral traits. If I'd bother to pay attention to it, I might say "I feel more masculine right now." But that doesn't mean my gender actually changes.
So I suspect that the people who call themselves gender fluid are taking the normal human gender state and dramatising it. Because they enjoy the drama.
I could be wrong, but that's how it seems to me.

Mulvaney wasn't joking; he actually thinks he deserved a Tony because he's performing. Mulvaney created a character, something men did for ages yet stopped when it was labeled politically incorrect. Mulvaney understands he gets to create the most inane and insulting parody of a woman and exploit it to rise to the heights of fame as long as he pretends he's not performing, that he's somehow become a real woman. It's a brilliant grift, but for a con to work you need marks, and there's tens of millions of them. Deny Mulvaney what he craves; Attention. Point out he's a grifter and leave it.

As a 24 year old, for me this IS a MENTAL HEALTH issue. I too thought I was gay and even trans, as far as literally talking to my doc about having my breasts removed.
One major reason I thought I was gay is because every consensual sexual interaction with a male literally made me have cold sweats, shakes, cry, even vomit. No matter even if I forced myself to go through with the whole thing, I couldn’t enjoy it. HOWEVER, I came to learn that it was rooted in the sexual assault I sustained at 5 and the ones that came after that.
Everything I was experiencing that made me question myself and sexuality was literally trauma related.
I was never and am not gay or trans, I was simply *traumatized*
I came back to edit and add that I’m absolutely happy and healthy now, married to a man who knows patience and understanding and helped me through my struggles. ❤️❤️❤️

About the Freedom Convoy in Canada : it was very well planned from the beginning with the local authorities. The truckers always left room for emergency vehicles. The only road they blocked was in front of the Parliament building for half a mile. Not a big deal. In comparison, each year the Quebec City Winter Carnival blocks the city center for a whole week and nobody complains, even if it is VERY noisy until the middle of the night.

Cars in the streets of Ottawa with Canadian plates with stickers saying "Trump is my President" and other Amerikkkanisms. They were bunch of children bothering people and not much more. First her 11 yr old declared they were a trans girl, then a year later her husband declared he was a trans woman. Then she wrote a book that became a best seller. Then she declared that she was a lesbian (hence why she was still attracted to her trans spouse). Then she and the trans wife (former husband) got into a polygamous type relationship with 2 other women (they may be trans as well…not sure and frankly just losing track at this point). Then she declares that she is trans masc. And now she has declared she is a trans man. All in time for a new book release in September🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

They also shovelled snow and salted walk ways and fed the homeless. The ones who blocked the border roads were in the wrong for sure. The challenges during it were there being multiple factions doing there own thing and our gov/media lumped it all together. Hubby and I actually discussed it last week.

I am 100% sure had I been in the "right" (which is ironically left) environment, I'd be convinced that I am a gender fluid, nonbinary or what not. But I grew up and now I am very firm in my self-identification - a woman. The thought that this knowledge (that honestly gives me ground and makes me stronger and genuinely happier) could have been taken from me had I been born in a different generation and country, terrifies me to my core.

Honestly, he seems like a kind soul who is struggling and who has turned bitter over time and funnels that in an unhealthy way. I don’t hate him as a person and I don’t think he’s a pedophile, but I think that I’ve seen that kindness and innocence and joy fade a little bit, which really is too bad. Now he’s pushing an agenda that hurts children and so many people, and that’s where he really is crossing the line.

Parks and Recreation treated being polyamorous as a total joke in 2009.
April: This is my boyfriend, Derek, and this is Derek's boyfriend, Ben.
    Ben: Hey.
Leslie: Hey...oh...wait, sorry. What's the situation?
    April: What do you mean?
    Leslie: How does this work?
April: Derek is gay but he's straight for me, but he's gay for Ben, and Ben's really gay for Derek. And I hate Ben.
    Derek: It's not that complicated.
    Leslie (mystified): Oh.... yeah.
Leslie, (later, when she's alone at her desk): The thing about youth culture is...I don't understand it.
(It gets much easier for Leslie to understand when we see that April was likely doing what she constantly does; pushing everything (here sexual norms) to mess with everyone. We later see that April can't stand both Derek and Ben (April berates Derek and Ben for being cruel and mocking a very sweet elderly couple by saying: "Why do you have to be so Gay?!" April also doesn't like that Derek and Ben mock Andy). We also learn that April's actually straight and monogamous and in love with Andy, and that April then marries Andy. Hard to imagine this show happening today.)

I come from a very liberal style of thinking and your podcast is my dirty secret none of my friends know I watch you and other creators of your political persuasion.. your content challenges me and has me thinking about things differently. It just occurred to me that maybe Dylan is using the term girlhood because it wouldn't be right to not go through girlhood before coming a woman. I don't know if Dylan's for real or not when it comes to transness or if they are just trying to get attention. I certainly feels like the latter. I just wanted to put that out there about the girlhood thing. Keep up the good work.

Deep down you know those "friends" are intolerant humans.
Friends who would shame you for having a broad mix of content that you chose to consume, friends who don't allow for various viewpoints are GARBAGE people. Dump them and seek honest people with nuanced opinions who don't shame you for being an interesting person.
Trust me, it's hard to lose the people you care about but eventually you won't miss them and you'll find better homies.

i always thought Dylan's girlhood thing was a trauma response, like she's trying to relive her childhood the way she wanted to with tea parties and dress-up days, but now it seems that she's so addicted to the attention that she may never leave her "girlhood phase" unless she stops getting attention for it

It's absolutely this. I find Dylan grating AF, but that's Dylan back ago, to Dylan she-now. Dylans, just, alot. Seems nice, but OTT. But yeah, I'd agree. Girl hood was his transition, as much as hair, hormones and wte else. Par of the journey to becoming a woman. I've never quite grasped why people have held irk over it. After the first few vids, where it became clear Dyls committed, it was so obvious. In its own way, somewhat sweet, Tbh, Ngl. Grating, but sweet... Literally Dylan in a nutshell

This is just following a trend . I'm a gen x and when I was at school up to becoming an adult . There were no gender issues , I was a girl and I don't know of any girl who wanted to be a boy and vice versa .Men who dressed up as women, never did that openly either .If it did go on it was at night to certain areas and clubs and was thought of as sleezy or in some cases prostitution.

I'm an older Millennial and it was the same. This stuff didn't exist among kids. There was one cross-dressing man that would wander the streets of our town that most locals were aware of, but otherwise you didn't see it in public.

There was a brief bi trend in the 90s but many of the gay and bi kids ended up married the opposite sex. Than of course some of the LG's stayed same-sex attracted and some of the straight kids finding out later they were gay. I was just talking to my fellow Gen X friend this morning and she was talking about how she bucks labels while the millenials that go to her club are always stressing them. Of course, not all Millenials are nuts but my Gen Z son tends to avoid them at his school as they are the ones pushing the identity politics on his generation. He was raised by me, a centrist with no previous issues with LGBT ish and he identifies as a centrist-moderate conservative because he thinks all his peers have serious mental health issues and are way too narcissistic.

I understand where you’re coming from, but actually people have been experimenting with gender since the beginning of time. The Ancient Eqyptians had gods that were born as males and turned to females, and there are several references to ambiguous gender (non-binary people) in the Bible. As for you not knowing anyone growing up who wanted to be the opposite gender, I don’t really see how that’s a point seeing as people didn’t know what that was when we were children. How could anyone identify as something they didn’t know was a thing? People were so judgemental of anyone who went outside gender norms, such as men dressing up as women. It’s quite sad to see that you seem to like that people used to be ostracised for wearing what they like! Drag has been a thing since fashion has, and it’s a really fun and enjoyable thing to watch. People should be able to wear and identify as what they want as long as they’re not hurting anyone ❤ No hate in this comment by the way!!

Watched Suits before I even knew who Meghan Markle was - I thought she was the weakest link. If it wasn't about the case I winded up fast forwarding her. I watched for the guys (familiar from other projects they did and I also loved Gina Torres (the big boss) from her Firefly days(. Now I can never watch it again. And I won't watch anything Meghan was or is in again.

Martia is just a great coach for the 'cause'.
Thank god I was born a Gen X to stable parents otherwise I'd have had transition surgery by now surely?! Altho English and now in England, Between the ages of 3-4 I lived in Canada.. loved playing in the mud, doing boy stuff, boy toys, prefered to hang out with boys, asked for and was given a buzz cut, insisted I was a boy and only answered to 'David'. We lived in Canada outback and I loved hunting fishing and the outdoors. I moved back to England at 5.
As I matured I just grew up to be a girl who was a bit Tom boyish. Now (and for all my adulthood) I've still loved the outdoors, and still had a lot of 'male aspects' eg Degree in applied science, a masters in computing, jobs in male orientated jobs.. But conversly was a catwalk and photograpic model 16-20, been a mummy, love being a woman, love and respect my man and love the differences between us. Thank god transitioning kids was not a thing in my day!! 🙏😳

My son likes pink, fluffy toys and put on my boots and sweater and acted silly. Never judged him for it. He turned out to be straight as an arrow and is joining the military. Still loves pink, fluffy animals but no longer my boots but his own funky, men's sweaters lol. A lot of us Gen X'ers did not trip over gender roles, we just did what we did.

I support trans people, do what you want with your life. What I don’t support is the celebration and encouragement for CHILDREN to alter their prepubescent bodies. You can’t drink until you’re 21 so WHY should it be okay for a child to take hormones that affect their bone density and sterilizes them before they can even think about their future! People like Dylan need to take a huge step back and live their lives but not force others to live by their beliefs. If you want people to understand where you are coming from, you have to be rational.

The issue is that if you let them do one thing, they'll push toward more. The slippery slope has now been proven to be very true. It's best to draw lines now, especially if you're a christian.
First it was to accept them.
Then accept them in your bathrooms.
Then accept them stripping in the bathrooms.
Then letting them dominate in sports.
Then mocking women for losing to them in sports.
      Then telling kids to transition.
Then taking kids away from parents who wouldn't agree to it.
The line should have been drawn at the beginning, unfortunately.

"The future of transness". What on earth does that mean? Since the girl series has flattened out, how long do we have to wait before his trans girl as climate activist or trans girl as whatever the f series? Culminating with his magnum opus, trans girl as detransitioner series.
