I got the Sony ZV-1 seven months ago and I love it - the E10 appears to be better because of the ability to change lenses and live streaming. But my Sony ZV-1 still does the job - so when I become a paid youtuber making money I can upgrade in a year of so to the Sony E10.
This is out of the blue question. I was wondering do youtubers think of using camcorders to record videos? Especially long sit down videos? I brought a Sony FDR-AX43 last year and the recording time is amazing. Instead of recording with a 30mins limit, I'm able to record for 10hrs straight.
Its crazy bc just a little over a decade ago people used to use camcorders. No idea why that's become archaic. Using a camera instead of camcorders for vlogging seems a step backwards.
I just got my ZV-E10 and I'm stoked! This is a very popular camera. I ordered it in April and it just came last week (July 8). I haven't had a chance to use it yet because I've been busy with projects and family stuff, but I'm excited! I've been recording my videos with my iPhone 7 up until now... which overheats and sometimes freezes up when I think I'm still recording! Having an actual camera is going to be so great!!
If I haven't bought a camera yet I would definitely get this. Pretty much the same specs as my Sony a6100 but more focused on video recording. Would definitely recommend this for beginners or people who like to keep things simple.

Great vid. Does the zv1 have the same lack of image stabilization? Aside from your vid and a few others all the reviews are dragging this camera for lack of stabilization and saying people should buy the zv1 instead. I mean if the zv1 doesn’t have it either what are they talking about?

Question: can you live stream directly to your phone/Instagram using this camera, either with a USB cord or wirelessly??? The plug and play with a laptop is clutch!! Streaming questions. 1. What resolutions and FPS are available in usb webcam mode/hdmi out? 2. Is the hdmi clean (in case usb webcam don’t have the specs I want). 3. Can change all the settings on the camera even over usb mode? Do I still change them on the camera or can I control the camera settings from my pc using special software or OBS studio? 4. Does usb provide power to the camera or does it need to be connected to a battery/dummy battery to stream over long periods of time? 5. I stream games and can have long sessions up to 3-4 hours. Will overheating be an issue? (I use 1080p60 for my stream).

I had a really shitty week and decided to take a huge risk and buy this camera. Making UA-cam videos makes me so happy, I enjoy it so much, but I felt like people would never like me enough. I told myself to shut up, and got out of bed and went to my local Best Buy and bought this camera. It was the best impulsive choice I’ve ever made-cause I immediately felt inspired again + thought of several new videos to film.

It's still way too expensive. 😞 I have a DSLR but it's an older Pentax and only records like 7 minutes of video at a time which is pretty impossible to work with. I'd need a camera that costs 300 or less 😭
when i started saving for a mirrorless cam as a new youtuber, it was for canon m50. i then learned about sony a6100 beating in every features the canon m50. now with this video, i am once again changing my mind... now i think zv e10 is the camera for me.... i think... (media =)

Wow, I have the Canon M50 and the specs are really impressive! I do now think I will ever buy this because it is not a full sensor size. I Will probably upgrade all the way to a sony a7iii
It's literally the child of the zv-1 and the a7c which I happen to own both of, and which is also why I have zero desire for this camera. I think since the a7c's release I've also not been into aps-c anymore. And the zv-1 fits in my pocket and outputs amazing quality for its size and will Easily look better than this new zve10 with the kit lens. Only real drawback to the zv-1 is the battery size. Especially when shooting in 4k

A6400 has a viewfinder and the screen tilts a different way. It also has much more video/photo manual controls. It really depends on your usage. The cameras are very different.
@@startimob_ro if you are only doing video I suggest the ZVE-10 since a nice compact video camera. If you eventually plan to do photos and maybe more complex photography I suggest the 6400 since it has more customization and allows you to grow as a videographer/photographer. I had a 6400 and an A7Sll before I got my A1 and they both taught me a lot about the sony ecosystem and optimization. Regardless what camera you choose you should get the 20mm pancake lens that sony offers. Its cheap and its a really good starter vlogging lens
@@zarashah ultimately it’s up to you, you can get something cheap to start off, but the spec that the camera has are no comparison to any other camera, record time, modes it has, quality just beats any other camera out there!
I think it is comparable to the Mark ii, however, I like the unlimited record time, bluetooth and no extra software to stream. Do I need to purchase the Bluetooth compatibility, separately?

You can try the elgato webcam, if is just for youtube video or a used gropro.

Either try some of the older panasonics like the g7 or g85. Or try the older canons like the eos m line. M1,2,3,3456 lol

How well will full frame lenses work with the E-10. Such as prime lenses or the Tamron 17-28 , Tamron 28-75
Its an aps-c sensor which is a 1.5 crop factor. So the 17-28 will become a 26.5mm-42mm on this camera. The lenses work the same.
