Agree 100% with everything you said. Magneton might not be a fan favorite like Charmander or Snorlax, but it’s still a Gen 1 Pokémon. The artwork is also amazing. Once the supply dries up, that’s pretty much it. 🔥 🔥 🔥
I agree the magneton should do well, but it does seem they printed way more pc etbs this time and we do have a card that if hit rates stay the same as the last couple sets will be in huge demand. I think Pikachu will be more expensive but I do agree the magneton is a good play because even now pc etbs are selling on tcgplayer for over how much you can get them at pokemon center and yes once they're gone they're gone. I just think without a big reprint or second wave those booster boxes will be the best play because of the chase cards in this set.
The PC Stamp is the new age "1 Edition" .. People like exclusive stamps. We dont have 1st Edition cards anymore so this is as close as we get to that. I've been slowly collecting the PSA 10 of these. Just have that feeling.

I’d also love to hear your take on the paldean dates Pokémon center ETB, it’s yet to see much movement but mimikyu is such a fan favorite Pokémon card and think it’ll do great long term especially with big hits like the mew and zard and considering there’s no booster box is ETB is the best way to get a lot of packs

I'm guessing you saw the huge price of snorlax and charmander pc stamp promo and thought this would he up there too. Just keep in mind snorlax is a fan favorite and came in 151 etb and charmander is one of the OG trio.

I’ve seen other PC Stamps like the Noctowl from Stellar and the Pikachu from Paldea Evolved, I’ve seen the rapid movement of these cards in PSA 10, and even without low pop 10’s, they’re still strong. Speculation is one thing, but consistency behind the specific type of card, on top of hype/demand is another thing
There's a good Reddit post that compares these Pokemon Center stamps to the OG WOTC era 1st edition stamps. I thought it was an interesting comparison that I happen to agree with.
I had that feeling about the greninja. the art was just so attractive to me but I didn’t expect what it actually did. This card is the only one in since then that gives me that same feeling, the stamp is probably what will make it fly
Hope this takes some attention off 151 and we get another little dip in the next 6 months. I'm just trying to hoard 151 lol. I did buy 1 of these PC ETBs though. Just to see what happens with it. I'm just waiting for the next really unique set. IMO, this one isn't super unique. It will no doubt do really well right off the bat, but I'm skeptical of it's long term value. I feel like Pokemon will introduce another art style next year for a unique set. Some of these styles are getting old. The magneton may be from the artist that did the Giratina and Magikarp, but this is just another Magikarp style. It will do well. But personally, i'm just waiting and collecting 151 while the booster bundles are under 100 dollars lol. If they do a big reprint of 151, then i'm shifting my focus to whatever is happening at the time in 2025.

ok bro so not correct; they do restock on the day of release usually always a friday btw it get either gets bought out within that day or receives random restocks and when those restocks do happen it doesn't last beyond 2-3 days . I've personally seen 151 pc etbs get restocked a couple of times randomly soldout within 2-3hrs; paldea evolved is by far the shortest print pc etb in this era....also obsidian flames,paradox rift and temporal forces have had more than 1 restock it's just random but it doesn't last beyond 2-3days on a worse level set from what i've seen some pc etbs are still available on pokemoncenter but those are less desirable sets
So essentially, same outcome, same things that occur based on demand for the promo or set in question. Regardless of “short print” or not, if the set isn’t desirable, people wouldn’t buy it out. Or, if the promo isn’t desirable, same thing. Appreciate the info, but the thesis remains the same for me based on the specific sets being out of stock, and why.
@@DamaCollectsCards i don't think the promo is a deciding factor in set outcome because I personally think the noctowl promo looks insane yet the trash set of stellar crown isn't as desirable so the pc etbs haven't sold out/ i think main key is set desirability is the most important factor even with trash promo if set is fire it'll sellout) most pc etbs do sellout in general so those are a easy play out the gate tbh i would personally avoid overpriced booster boxes out gate because historically every overpriced booster box out gate has crashed i like floor prices on booster boxes at 80-100 not $120 as a floor price...

I wonder what the print run for the PC etbs for Surging Sparks is compared to past SV sets. I am definitely enjoying these recent promos being such high quality arts like Greninja / Kingdra from SFA. Instead of being a 1/2000 pull SIR, they are accessible to everyone!
Just started collecting again after finding my cards from elementary school (1999). I pre ordered the ETB from the Pokemon Center. Are pre-orders honoured by the Pokemon Center or is there a chance to be rejected?
I would love your thoughts on a speculation of mine. I feel like some of the Pokemon center etbs are way lower printed than people are realizing. For example something like the Paldea evolved pc Etb that sold out almost instantly, is a good set with a phenomenal promo inside. These will do some absolutely crazy prices if they aren’t reprinted, like some of the other low printed high demand products in the past.
