I’m researching a trip to the Baltics and fortunately your channel popped up so you’ve gained another subscriber👍🏻 great videos with some very useful information. Cheers mate✌🏻🤙🏻
Glad to hear the videos are proving useful and thanks for subscribing! I appreciate it. Hope you get to turn your research into reality - it's a wonderful part of Europe! Enjoy.
What a sampling of architecture. Duck wants to be world famous! What a cool lantern! Awesome you got to see the lady in traditional dress! Black Swan 😍
Wow! Ivan the Terrible hurled 1000 kg stone cannon balls at the town where generations of my family lived?? You can't make this stuff up! Loved this interesting and vibrant film!
I’d recommend Sigulda as it’s not as far as Cēsis. However both are doable either by bus or train. Jurmala is a lot closer so if the weather is nice that’s an option too. Hope you have a great time!
Here are 3 Sigulda, Jurmula and the ethnographic museum 30 min outside of Riga. Go to Rundale palace if you can. It's not as short by public transit though.
Actually it's a town, the official website says 'Cēsis was founded in 1206 and it is the third oldest town in Latvia' however it really feels like a small village. Why must I be a US-American?

Whatever may one blame Com. Stalin, all the Heritage were preserved during the Soviet days.
True!
Going for 4 nights to Riga next month. Which is the best place to visit on a day trip using public transportation?
I’d recommend Sigulda as it’s not as far as Cēsis. However both are doable either by bus or train. Jurmala is a lot closer so if the weather is nice that’s an option too. Hope you have a great time!

It's like Indian of the 2000.
Es ist kein Dorf, sondern eine Stadt! It is not a "village" This sillyness! Like US-americans! I think, you ar from Great - Britain

It's a big city by Latvian standarts. I think it's the 11th largest in LV@@MattWhitingsEurope
