  • Discover the extraordinary craftsmanship of Tetsunosuke Miyano (1901-96), a master sawsmith from Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture. As a second-generation Japanese sawsmith, Miyano was among the few artisans who mastered the use of "tama-hagane," a refined steel from traditional Japanese tatara furnaces. Although tama-hagane steel became rare after the Meiji era due to the rise of imported steel, Miyano's dedication to this traditional material kept its legacy alive even after World War II. #MasterSawsmith #JapaneseSaw #WoodworkingTool
