Little Hope is presented as an unfinished story in the possession of the omnipresent Curator, who requests the player's assistance in completing it. The story follows college students Taylor , Andrew, Daniel, Angela and their professor John who become stranded in the eponymous fictional town after their bus crashes. Located in New England, Little Hope has an infamous history of witch hunting that took place in 1692. As the group explores the town, they witness the execution of a group of settlers from the past who look exactly like them. The group must find out their connections with this group of settlers, piece together the history of the town, and discover "the root of the evil"

The entire premise of this story is that a group of college students who go on a field trip gets trapped in some foggy town after a car accident. My question is: what college has field trips? Especially the kind where you all get on a school bus.
Oh you'll see. You'll have to wait for the ending. Im afraid i cant spoil it yet.
Some do have field trips, though I've never gotten on a bus for one. At most we usually use a school van.

We went to the Preakness infield my freshman year and got smashed lol
So, here's my theory of what was happening with Megan/Mary. Again this is just a theory. It's possible that Megan/Mary was probably being abused by a professor at her school which would explain why she's going late for class and having poor grades. The priest in the story kept telling Mary to keep quiet about his horrible deeds and using her to accuse people of witchcraft until he ends up accusing her of the same thing to get himself out of trouble. She would sit in front of the television and then walk out completely dazed. And her "imaginary friend" (that demon thing) was probably something she created in her head in order to cope with her family not seeing what's wrong with her or just not caring, and probably acted out to get their attention without realizing the consequences until it was too late. Only Andrew/Anthony seemed to care and he probably realized too late what was going on with his little sister. Him stopping the priest from executing Mary was probably his wish fulfillment, representing how he could have helped Megan if he had known she was being abused at her school and the family tragedy could have been avoided. But again, this is just a theory.
A GAME THEORY ! (Sorry) Seriously tho, this theory is not bad. The thing about Andrew redeeming himself is for sure in my opinion. But so many things are not clear: why monsters, why the bus accident in the first place and most of all, if all the characters were family, why this weird relationship ? First sister, then lover and then friends?? You see what I mean ?

@@fireglass_2039 Indeed. These games seem to focus more on psychological horror rather than supernatural which is fine. I don't mind but if they're going to make it psychological, then it should make more sense.
Whats the point of the priest accusing random people of Witchcraft and having Mary help him to kill the town folks. Seems like a crazy leap from abusing a child and keeping it secret to trying to kill off the town residents.

The main characters couldn’t “find a way out of the town”, because it was all in his head and he couldn’t “get out of his own head”.

Man, I was really hoping they'd go back to Until Dawns' style, where the characters and monsters were real.
Well, Until Dawn is four years older but exceeds this game in every regard, by a huge margin.
yeah me too, i actually loved the game up until the ending. the characters this time were much more likeable than man of medan and the mystery around the story was interesting. even the demon designs look dope, just wish it was a real scenario cos i was mad rooting for the characters to live

That my friend would be “The Quarry”, another great story to add to their franchise
I feel like I would’ve perfered recarnation instead of a mental illness it would’ve made more sense with the demon talking to Meg and Idk just I would’ve liked it better I still like the ending tho

As much as I usually like these kinds of games, I did not like this one. I do not like the graphics, the dialogues come across a bit off, the story, especially the outcome, is weird. Thanks for the vid anyway of course.

@@maximusfantabulous2559 while the graphics look sort of realistic, the expressions of the characters and their movement does not, in my opinion. Something which I feel is part of overall graphics, the way the game looks.

To be honest I like the game but the way they stop the monsters was really lame. Really all they had to do was fram the priest and show that Mary was innocent. I feel like they should've done more then just that. Like have the priest come back as one of those monsters and have a massive battle between the characters and the priest. The ending of the game was cool. I like that it was all in the bus driver's head and that he got closure from saving Mary, but it could've been done differently. Like they could've made him say goodbye to his family at the burned house instead of the dinner. Anyways this is just my opinion on how this version should have ended. I know that this game has many endings, but I feel like this ending should've been better.

The detail in the family's resemblance is pretty good.
Thing hate about game like this. All the monsters in these games are just too crippled and slow to be scary or be taken seriously. One instance where they stand their ground and it works and they are beating on the monster then the next moment they act completely helpless. No continuity

You clearly had a different analysis of how threatening these monsters are. Clearly they cant die and if you try to stay in one place eventually they will break in. I'm not sure why you assume they arent a threat when they are shown the be more than capable of killing you if you slip up.

Yeah i have no doubt about it now who the Curator is. I played Man of Medan. I have to say and this is only my opinion that it is the better game of the two. But that is merely my preference of style as this is a little to Witchy and it did not really spook me. It also is just to much the same as the other game in to many ways. Still a entertaining watch at least.

This was one of the better entries of these games from the developer, but honestly what was a bull cucky ending if I ever saw one in a video game. I am not sure if all the endings have the bus driver as delusional as this ending, but this was a weak ending. Sad really, the game did keep my interest and had a good story of mystery and intrigue, just the ending was weak.
