  • In this #R107, #560SL video, I installed a new remanufactured high voltage distributor. I am documenting every part of the engine build. The idea is to end up with the best documented 560SL rebuilds on the Internet. Please subscribe to my UA-cam channel to support this project.
Links to the manual and links to all tools used in this video are below.
I want everyone who visits my channel to know about a friend of mine named Tasos. His videos inspire me to be more like him. He is so much better than I am. You can find his UA-cam channel at:

My videos are not sponsored by anyone. The products and tools I use are products and tools I have purchased with my own money. I include links below to any special tools or products used in this video.
The torque wrench I used to torque down the small M6 bolts was the TEKTON 1/4 Inch Drive Dual-Direction Click Torque Wrench TRQ21101. I love this wrench!

Hello, dear sir, you are wonderful 🤩 in your explanation and your distinguished lessons. I wish you success and a happy life. My question is, what is the reason for the engine cut-off of an old Ford Marquis?

Hi Tony, I decided to replace distributor in my 1987 560. Did you notice that the spring on weights is fitted in the opposite side in the new unlike the old distributor ? Probably makes no difference or does it ? How you have time to answer this. MH

The original distributor and the rebuilt distributor are 100% identical in my case. They are the exact same part number and the spring and weights position are identical. In fact, in this video you can see both distributors showing the spring and weight.

The green wire that connects to the delco does not conduct electricity. What is the problem?

I’m sorry, but I don’t know what green wire you are referring to. This video does not mention a green wire or talk about any wiring. I only installed the distributor.

hi, I have the same car. How did you get the O ring in?

    • @TonyLiveTV

In the video I mentioned that the o-ring that came with the rebuilt distributor is smaller than the original one which made installing easier. We will have to see if this o-ring is enough to keep it from leaking. The first start should answer that question. I have two original MB o-rings so if it leaks on first start I’ll have the original o-ring on hand.

I live in Germany. I guess I didn't understand everything. Thank you very much.
