Throttle Cable Failure In Flight In The Staudacher 300!

A few weeks ago, I had the throttle cable break in flight rendering the throttle inoperative with the engine stuck running at full power. I wouldn't consider it true emergency, but definitely not a normal operation of an aircraft. I had to pull the mixture and deadstick the airplane in for landing. No damage to me, the airplane or any property/persons on the ground. There were a few things to think through such as the glide profile, obstacles, go-arounds, speed, drag and the conditions. I record all of my aerobatic flights for critique purposes, and was happened to capture the failure on camera. I thought I'd take the time to debrief the situation and share it with you in an effort to promote safety, and awareness.
