Once I had to go to a hospital for a diagnostic test . There in the lobby were 2 nuns sitting . One of them had a beautiful face and she radiated the Holy Spirit . I was convinced that that was a sign I was finished . I started weeping because I felt that the world let me down when I did nothing to have such an awful first diagnosis . After the test , I walked out of the room . It turns out I was misdiagnosed and there was nothing wrong with me ! The radiant nun being there was actually a sign that all was well . I will never forget that experience with the beautiful nun . I thanked God that I never smoked .
Hello, and thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. Gosh, that was very emotional to read and beautiful. Yes, they do radiate the Holy Spirit and it’s wonderful to see. Thank you for watching my video and blessings to you. 🙏C
It's so interesting hearing about your time in Carmel and transition back into the world. I suppose you have been given this incredible gift, of learning how to bring solitude into your life, and that will never leave you. So glad you decided to share it with others. The world really needs it. Good luck.
Hi, thank you so much for watching. It became clear after five months that I didn’t belong in a cloistered/enclosed environment, so I asked to leave and the sisters agreed, even though it was sad as we were all close. But, it was totally the right decision, and now I’m discerning being a consecrated woman in the world. C
God bless you Caroline! I was a Carmelite nun for three years and I have considered consecrated virginity. I have met many lovely women in that vocation and it seems like it’s a growing one too! The world needs that type of witness especially in our times. I’ll be praying for you and please pray for me too. ❤️🙏
@@moriahmorgan5983 I too was in a Carmel in Italy for a year, but my sisters felt I did not have good enough health, so I passed to the secular branch (OCDS)….45 years ago, and live the Teresian spirituality, which I Iove, on my own. +
Hi, thank you for your comment. That’s interesting because sometimes I don’t have music at all, and then other times I just feel like adding some. I just go with how I feel with this one, but I will bear that in mind. 🙏
I think that knowing God's will for ourselves is not easy. You sought to discern and the sisters helped you. The Lord will not abandon you in your journey. God bless and love you.
i wanted to ask you, you speak so well of the carmelite nuns. Are you still a carmelite nun? If you are not, why did you decided to leave id you do not mind me asking?
Hi, thank you so much for watching and for your question. I was there for five months exploring the life as a postulant, in 2020, still wearing my own clothes etc, so I wasn’t officially a nun. We discerned that it wasn’t quite the right fit for me there in the end, but it was an incredible experience and I’m still praying and promoting the importance of prayer in the world. 🙏C
Caroline have you ever considered being a consecrated woman living in the world but belonging to a secular institute ... ( absolutely only an idea and may not be where God leads maybe !) God bless you on your discernment process ... He calls you anyway , wherever that may be ... 🙏🙏❤️
Hi, the Order takes its inspiration from the prophet Elijah on Mount Carmel. (Contemplating and action) Hermits would gather there, and in the medieval period some moved over to England and began the Order here. 😇
@@carolineleighton That's really interesting. I love that about about our Catholic Faith, there's so much to learn. So much has happened in the last 2000 years. If I hadn't has kids I would have been a Franciscan friar. I'm thinking about the Franciscan Secular Order, but they meet on the same night my daughter has dance class.

Beautiful.
Hello, thank you so much. 🙏
Oh my goodness beautiful cats
Thank you. They are so cute when they’re all washing together. 😻
@@carolineleighton ☺ I love cats. They definitely look like Maine Coons.
I think it is God who chooses, and He chose Carmel as a stepping stone on your path.!
I think it is God who does the choosing! +
Have you read Friar Marie Eugene book I want to see God?
Curious why you left? Thanks your thoughts!

You speak with passion about silence and yet you add background music. Why?

Or there are the Carthusians, but nuns are not in the UK ...
Apparently you left Carmel at some point. What happened?
Aren't Carmelites the oldest?

I'd love to chat more with you but I do not see a way to contact you. How do we get in touch?
Hi, and thank you for your message. If you’re on Facebook, you can add me on there and my details are available. 😀C
