Utahs version is Park City. When I was young it was a cute old mining town, then they built the ski resorts and the Sundance Movie festival started and well….no more cite mining town.
Thank you again for taking us along to see this beautiful Island. It is absolutely breathtaking. Actually anything I have ever seen of New Zealand is stunning. It is so peaceful and serene. I enjoy watching the videos of your beautiful family's adventures.
I have literally been sitting here crying watching your videos. You have an absolutely perfect family. I am single and long for exactly what you guys have. You are blessed beyond words. Thank you for including us in your journey.
Sam, you CAN get more rural than using a stick and a pine cone to play baseball. Here in Northeast Tennessee (USA) my five younger siblings and I used to use a stick and a rock for baseball practice. We even have a few seagulls here, around the lake areas. I guess they got lost during their migrations and now they return here every summer. Those rolling meadows of farmland remind me of where I live; some very similar scenery here. I think you would love East Tennessee with the lakes, mountains, marinas and other summer resort areas.
He unlike Maori owners of the land don't have ancestry ties to Waiheke island. The Maori of Waiheke are owners through their ancestors. Now the gov wants to kick them off the island. Obviously they the gov are disobeying the the TOW.
Thank you for letting us see and experience so much of New Zealand - the island is like a dream. It’s not a tourist trap, not one of a hundred all the same. So serene. Thank you family 🥰
Most people would prefer the beach end of the island...me, give me the undeveloped farm land end of the island. Those hills and all that green farm land had me enchanted. But, I'm an old country boy who grew up on farms, smelling freshly plowed soil and sun-warmed livestock. People say cows stink....but to me, they smell like life and home. Thank you for taking us all along with you for the weekend.
This place reminds me of San Diego where I grew up. Its really beautiful there. So nice to see so much of NZ. I'm sure most Americans know nothing about NZ. Probably because nothing bad seems to happen there. I had always heard that it is incredibly beautiful there. And its so far away. I'm sure I would love it there.💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for sharing your Easter weekend with us. The area is beautiful and you made this video very enjoyable for all who watch it. It is fun getting to know you better.
Beautiful island. Salt Lake has huge Seagull populations. It’s fun seeing where you spent some of your youth Sam. I hope it stays as undeveloped as possible.
What a beautiful place to spend your holiday. The beaches are so private there, I'd love to visit there someday. I have a brother in Melbourne Australia and a Nephew in Christ Church NZ. so perhaps when I go to visit him I can fly to New Zealand on my way back home. Thanks for sharing your lovely holiday with everyone.
Hello from the U.S.! Kentucky, to be precise. Thank you all for your videos! I've been researching New Zealand for nearly a year and this channel is one of my new favorites for NZ content. Hopefully one day I will get to move there and work as a secondary science teacher. That's the goal. It's hard to form any set timetable for when this might be possible given the visa/border restrictions at the moment, but I can't help but feel like NZ is somewhere in my future. Everything I see seems to be amazing. Keep the videos coming!
The first and only time I went to New Zealand, we came to this island and stayed in a hostel for a week. We pretty much walked everywhere. I do remember an awesome fried chicken place there! We went in winter time there so there weren't many people there. It has grown up a lot!
The water views with all the sailboats reminds me of Lake Michigan! And we have huge mansions along Lake Drive too, facing the lake with great views and I believe many have private beaches too. We have rolling hills covered in greenery as well and dramatic cliffs. You can find some of the world's oldest fossils along the shores of Lake Michigan. Did you know there used be a tropical sea right here long, long ago? With trilobites! Way before the dinosaurs...
Auckland beaches. Your right Auckland proper not known for beaches but the Eastern suburbs and the North Shore miles of beautiful beaches. As a person who spent most of my youth and teenage years sailing the gulf. I’ll take Rangitoto and Kawau island any day above waiheki. Rangitoto so big and beautiful and Kawau sailing into Mansionhouse bay with all of the bush. Waiheki fine for tourists and the easy life but the relief of sailing into drunken bay to ride out a storm much more fun.
Dang! Easter lunch looked delicious! The US doesn't have a big lamb/mutton culture. Too bad, I LOVE lamb. You can certainly get it, but it's not pervasive. You might have to look around. We are a beef and pork culture. Chicken and turkey too.
The only thing I knew about New Zealand before your videos was that Xena Warrior Princess was filmed there and Hercules The Legendary Journey's.. Lol It really is very beautiful..
New Zealand is one of the main places on my bucket list of places I want to travel. I love being able to see the island through your eyes. I'm curious, are your kids named for anyone/anything? What did Nadine have for lunch??
That cute little "hut" I think you called it is called a bungalow here in Florida. I don't know what other states call it, maybe some people can chime in.
I wish you guys would do a wish talking about the "size" of New Zealand. I live in NYC and there are close to 9 million residents in NYC. The NYC metro area has ~20 million people.
Hey guys, love the video. Thanks Atlanta and Denz for the lovely lake visit. I noticed there were quite a few routes that the ferries could take. Which route was the one you traveled?
I see you both are cultured people in the fine entertainment of high quality movies like the best ever made.... "Dumb & Dumber" 👍👍👍👍👍😆🤣😜 just make sure you stay safe out there Sam and keep an eye out for those little old ladies on a motorized scooter😨😨😨😲😲😲 most of us don't even see them coming! 🤷♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
It just seems so weird for us Americans to see drivers in New Zealand drive on the 'wrong' side of the motorway (I believe that is what you call a road).
Do you guys watch videos of other vol? Say like the fillopins. I can’t spell it right. 😂. Phillopines. Sorry guys just can’t get it right. Hope you get what I’m trying to say. If not you need to check out. Dustin backpacks. On UA-cam. He is doing great work over there helping people with homes and bathrooms 🚽. Most of them don’t have that stuff.
I'm just curious, maybe you could explain more...but to my American ears...Sam's accent sounds very different than Nadine's. Are you from different parts of New Zealand, perhaps?
Although the NZ accent can differ slightly between certain regions we are both born and raised in Auckland but I have spent a lot of my years living in various countries around the world which may have influenced mine. But to us we sound the same haha
Waiheke is in a development. But alot locals who have been living there through their Maori ancestry, the gov want them kicked off. The poor little blue pequins will have no where to nest.
I don’t feel islands should really be Do you feel it because there’s too much nature being destroyed and us humans have to let nature develop on its own
Such a beautiful place.
Very Nice....
What a great place
Utahs version is Park City. When I was young it was a cute old mining town, then they built the ski resorts and the Sundance Movie festival started and well….no more cite mining town.
Reminds me a bit of the San Juan Islands in Washington State but you have nicer sand on your beaches. 😊
I lost my sunglasses there! Spent two hours looking for them on the beach. Beautiful place. I walked around all day.
Thank you again for taking us along to see this beautiful Island. It is absolutely breathtaking. Actually anything I have ever seen of New Zealand is stunning. It is so peaceful and serene. I enjoy watching the videos of your beautiful family's adventures.
I'd rather have the natural scenery than development.
🙋♂️waving hello from Florida
What a beautiful place! Thank you for showing us

I think New Zealand is Paradise; but, with the loving family you are, anywhere is Paradise!
He unlike Maori owners of the land don't have ancestry ties to Waiheke island. The Maori of Waiheke are owners through their ancestors. Now the gov wants to kick them off the island. Obviously they the gov are disobeying the the TOW.
Just beautiful! I am ever more convinced the NZ must be the most beautiful tropical place on Earth. Love your videos!

I love your family. Your kids have such great personalities.

Wow, that feast looked so delicious! So happy you had a good Easter!
Absolutely beautiful.
Wow, those rock formations and waterfalls are insane. Very cool stuff
Love the Videos! Hope you guys do more! Great family
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your Easter weekend with us. The area is beautiful and you made this video very enjoyable for all who watch it. It is fun getting to know you better.
Great Video! Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic views and trip! So much fun to see locations that we’d otherwise probably never see !
Beautiful island. Salt Lake has huge Seagull populations. It’s fun seeing where you spent some of your youth Sam. I hope it stays as undeveloped as possible.
I just love your family! Thank you for the tour. Wonderful.😘❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's funny watching you drive on the other side of the road.
Love seeing New Zealand with you guys (or "yinz guys if you're a Pittsburgher). Looking forward to more :)

Lovely place and lovely family.
I have heard that New Zealand has great hiking trails.
If you ever go hiking, please bring us with you.
What a beautiful island. There are small sections that remind of a few places I've been to near lakes or oceans. The little cottage was adorable.

I've been to NZ four times and I've gone straight to the south island each time. Your videos make me want to visit the north island.
North Island has some amazing spots!
Roto Vegas! 😆
Glad you all had a great Easter weekend!
Lovely little island. The area reminds me a little bit of the Napa Valley area (wine country) area of California.
The first and only time I went to New Zealand, we came to this island and stayed in a hostel for a week. We pretty much walked everywhere. I do remember an awesome fried chicken place there! We went in winter time there so there weren't many people there. It has grown up a lot!
Yeah it has changed alot in the last 5 years
Love the vids from South Carolina in USA. Thank you for the heart.
Love these blog type videos! Keep it up!

So so beautiful !! Oh I would love to live there 😊❤️
I live in what we call a trailer park here in Minnesota, and we've got about the same amount of space between the end of our trailer, and the road.
Nice place

reminds me of key west and the everglades down in florida
ohh!! Waiheke island, the place where I learnt my first English words .
"Did we sacrifice it?" That had me laughing, hahaha!
Very cool, didn't realize how developed it was.
I like the bento style plates. They look like ones I've seen in sushi shops.
Great vlog guys it great to have kiwi vloggers here in NZ
Reminds me of San Clemente and Laguna Beach, California! :-D
Looks like Southern California...!
Beautiful
I JUST SAW YOUR VIDEO U MADE CINNAMON BUNS OMG LOOKS SOO 😋 SOME ONE MAYBE THE NEXT CHEF KEEP IT UP ...

Even better.....the LOTR movies (Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, 3 films each). LOTR. I've always wanted to go, but those movies sealed it!
Late to the party as usual🤷🏻♂️
Really enjoying your channel
Thanks ❤
This would be like from NYC or Jersey City, NJ to NYC & Liberty & Ellis Island amazing video
Has the NZ family gone to Fresno California? Atlanta's hoodie has fresno on it. I'm from Fresno. Too cool. Now I have to subscribe.
I want a pack of candy cigarettes now lol. I remember when the packaging used to mimic cigarettes as well.
New Zealand is one of the main places on my bucket list of places I want to travel. I love being able to see the island through your eyes.
I'm curious, are your kids named for anyone/anything?
What did Nadine have for lunch??
Thanks 😊 Denzel is named after our favourite actor, Denzel Washington and Atlanta is just a beautiful but uncommon name.
That cute little "hut" I think you called it is called a bungalow here in Florida. I don't know what other states call it, maybe some people can chime in.
Never been out of the US before (Ik Ik typical American lol) but this channel makes me want New Zealand to be the first foreign trip I make
I wish you guys would do a wish talking about the "size" of New Zealand. I live in NYC and there are close to 9 million residents in NYC. The NYC metro area has ~20 million people.
I notice there seem to be a lot of flatter roofs on houses. Is there a reason for that?
It doesnt snow in Auckland. Allows the wind to pass by easier too. I think
If you ever .ake it to the States, there are amphibious tour boats. That I know of, they're located in WI Dells and Boston. Not sure where else
They're called "ducks", or "duck tours"
I like your videos...
You guys should react to big hockey hits
Hey guys, love the video. Thanks Atlanta and Denz for the lovely lake visit. I noticed there were quite a few routes that the ferries could take. Which route was the one you traveled?
I feel like the equivalent to this for me would be like...Aruba is a 35 minute ferry ride from Chicago.
Well, at least you get direct flights..
❤❤❤
I think Atlanta has a future in camera work; she’s almost as good as mom and dad.
💜💜💜💜
What does dad do for a living if you don't mind me asking?
Who was kylos friend at the beach?
Have u ever been approached about doing cable reality show
I see you both are cultured people in the fine entertainment of high quality movies like the best ever made.... You say FRIES like America...Britain has CHIPS !
Maybe show us photos on a map. Because most people watching have never been there. And can`t afford to go.
It just seems so weird for us Americans to see drivers in New Zealand drive on the 'wrong' side of the motorway (I believe that is what you call a road).
Did she say she wished she dropped him off at the airport? Mike
