Great video Brandon. Your videos are very helpful and informative. I’ve noticed that ever since I updated to 17.4 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max standby mode digital clocks can no longer be edited. You can’t change the colours and only let you do it just once then no longer works. You can swipe down and Small widgets and photo frames are fine but the digital clocks you can’t edit at all. You’re stuck with the colour that you have before the update. The little round circle on the bottom left to edit completely disappears. Restoring the phone from my backup doesn’t work and resetting the phone as new doesn’t work either. It’s definitely a bug with 17.4. Give it a try LOL.
OMG you are right!! As soon as you have chosen a colour, that’s it and you can’t change it anymore!🥲

So far 17.4 having been running smooth for me, no battery issues whatsoever.
I have an issue on iOS 17.4 on my iPhone 15. When I click on the lock screen notifications, it won’t open the app. I need to exit the Lock Screen and go to the app myself
Great video Brandon! Overall, ios 17.4 has been running beautifully for me, minus the clock timer sound bug. It's a real disappointment that it isn't getting fixed.
Swiping to close notifications is way smoother/easier than before.

Another great video Brandon. I’m using a iPhone 12 Pro. Battery Health is at 85% and had not been getting good battery through the day but since the new iOS update, seems my battery percentage is lasting a little bit longer through the day and not draining so quick. Maybe my imagination. Didn’t know if anybody else is seeing a little bit battery life through the day.

I recently just got the iPhone 15 Pro and I’ve also recently updated to 17.4. I’m having issues with voice to text on multiple apps where I literally have to restart my phone to get them working.
I purchased the rewind and want to make a request for a SNES wall paper 🙏🏽
Since I got 17.4 I was able to download my side loading. I live in New England and we love the side loading. 👍😃

Anyone else noticing that their iphones are running hot?
I can barely play two games of COD mobile (10-15 minutes of gaming) before my phone starts dimming the screen, and the back of my phone is HOT, like really hot!
I haven't experienced that with the previous updates
Also the guided access doesn't seem to work properly either. I find myself having to restart my phone every 4-5th time I wanna use guided access.

Brandon, the notification bug is not fixed. Set your font size to its largest and tell me that you’re not getting similar results to that prior to what they called a fix.

On my iPhone 15 plus running iOS 17.4 timer has live activity, I can set a timer an go to Home Screen or switch to another app the live activity is still displayed in the Dynamic Island 🤔

It's very odd, my battery seems to last a little longer on 17.4 but my iPhone 12 did get hot more often and in situations where it didn't used to. After a few days though it seems to have stabilised.
Is there anyone having issue with the e-sim missing after update to iOS 17.4?

Not sure how long this has been a thing, and I'm not sure if you covered it or not, but in Settings > Notifications > Emergency Alerts, there is a "Local Awareness" option.

Brandon, please report the bug where you can't copy text out of scanned pdfs in notes! It's driving me nuts. I used to use this feature all the time and have reported it several times now.

One of the more annoying changes in iOS 17.4 is the changes to Safari’s iCloud tabs. They only sync if there are tabs open when you close Safari. If you close all the tabs and then close Safari, the old tabs are just left on the other devices. That’s really annoying on my iPad as it shows these closed tabs as open from my iPhone instead of showing the real open tabs from my Mac.
I absolutely love these updates, I like knowing how Apple is doing and think you might even be able to create a miniseries regarding Apple's finances because that alone is very interesting. E.g. How much does Apple spend on R&D? Or lawsuits? Patents/marketing/designing/engineering/etc. I'm so curious...
Does anybody know why my settings says the photos app is taking up over 2GB of space even tho I only have like 173MB worth of photos/videos?
Check "Hidden" folder and also "Deleted"

There is a bug with iOS 17.4 with some wallpapers (I think the ones that have blur and depth effect from the collections) there is some stuttering all the time in all apps. I have to change my wallpaper to fix it. Really strange. I found other users with the same glitch
YES, I have the same problem! My own pictures are completely “blown out” (white) on the top half of the screen, when I try to use them as wallpaper. It only works when I really zoom IN-but that’s not how it should look…😂
iOS 17.4 handoff between iPhone and Mac not working anymore. The copy from iPhone and pasting on Mac and vice versa not working anymore after the update
The capture button is going to be so useful (for me anyway)

Hey Brandon, Yesterday I updated my iPhone 15 pro max on IOS 17.4 while it was updating the phone restarted and I got one Green and white vertical line on the left side of the screen after the phone rebooted I gave my phone to the Apple Service Center and they will see what can they do

That is a crazy AirTag story! Always monitoring my phone at work so if someone does have a lost item with an AirTag in it is pinging on my phone I can track it down, but so far that has not happened. I did share your MacBook Air M3 review video with my uncle who is a MacBook user to see if he was in the market for a new one. He was very appreciative for the video. Hopefully this week Apple does announce the release date for the new iPad Pro models. Soon Soon as they are available, I will go to the store and pick mine up.

Actually from that release note it seems to me you can *use* apps after 30 days but they cannot update or you cannot download new apps after 30 days. It doesn’t say you can’t use them.
#Bugs Automations are failing ever since I updated to 17.4. I use automations to silence and turn on/off my Apple Watch Ultra screen, but these automations seems to fail. Once or twice they do work but most of the times even when I run them manually these automations fail. Used to work perfectly fine before the update.

Is it just me but I live in the uk and I thought that we were going to get the update so that I’m able to have side loading but for some reason I can’t get sideloading onto my iPhone. Now is it because the uk ain’t in the Eu anymore or it something else?

That’s literally it. We’re not EU. We wouldn’t get an EU only thing.
And it’s wrong, that you can’t use apps anymore after 30 days out of the eu. It’s clearly in the marked text. The apps will work, the AppStore won’t. So you can open the app, but can’t install updates or new apps.

seems like a feature for only some people, In on a 12 mini and icon positioning thing was turned off after ios16
I think it's the side effect of some sort of stabilization.

It’s an iPhone feature where in the icons move or shift slightly as you shift perspective of your iPhone. This is parallax effect and this turns off when you turn on “Reduce Motion”.

There must be a way of adding a "friendly" AirTag! Every time I travel in my friend's car it says there is an unknown AirTag with me. It's not - it's more my iPhone is tracking his AirTag (also dodgy)!!!

I dont see the point of this capture button, we can already do this using the volume up button so no need for this button. Unless they put it on the right side further down below the power button then maybe it can be usefull. As long as it doesnt get in the way and feels annoying when you hold the phone.
I respectfully disagree that Mint is not the best. I’ve had it for quite awhile now and it’s been way better than some of the big boys and the price is certainly right. I’ve had zero issues with them and their customer service for set up etc is second to none.
Mint is shutting down later this month, so wider support for importing Apple Card transactions was definitely needed.
Oh I never had any issues with Mint. It was actually great when I used it. I just found Monarch to be better in most ways

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN to me why this particular video (I’m watching on iPhone 14 Pro 17.4 final release in the UA-cam app) will show in PIP mode on UA-cam app, when that feature hasn’t worked for me on an iPhone for years now. Other videos don’t work in PIP mode in the YT app but this one does (unexpectedly!)

Daily battery drain is atrocious here (14pro max). Battery drain 2% 9minutes into this video. Wtf? I’ve spent about 20 minutes on youtube and already down to 90%. This is what happened back with ios16 too. Cmon apple. 🥴. Edit: also just downloaded the wall papers. The nokia is sick 😎

I'm usually excited for new iOS & iPhone updates, but I'm not looking forward to AI or that new camera button.
The buttons already get in the way more often than all my previous iPhones, and AI is getting way too intrusive in our world.
I'm glad they opened up the Apple Card transactions with Mint shutting down. I think there's an obvious correlation here though.
