Great craftsmen make work like this look incredibly easy.. The way he just draws his contour lines on with the pencil and eyeballs them in.. fine job Colton!
We all know that somehow Novo has got a lot of spokespeople who are praising and talking so highly of these guitars. I hope the company will maintain the high level and quality of their products!! There is only so much that publicity and people can do for anything.

Bet the “secret process” of raising the grain involved heat and water.

Hope I'm not spoiling it, but you can achieve that subtle texture in the grain with some light sandblasting. It wears away the soft lines leaving the harder lines raised. I'm sure plenty of wood working people watching this already know that tho, hehe...

It is impressive how much time they spend on sanding. It's looking great!!
Well if anything justifies the price of a custom Novo build it would have to be your videos. The process is very involved and requires real craftsmanship and artisanship. And you'd better be very patient as weeks turn into months. Novo makes killer guitars so this is really fun to watch. We're all jealous. They should give you the guitar for free just for convincing your audience of the value of one of their guitars!

I bet very few 'machining' goes into a guitar after the 'rough shaping' a CNC does. Its still pretty much a 'Hand Made' guitar...

Man the orbital sander in the side of the body makes me so nervous haha, then again I'm still a bit of a coward when it comes to sanding, especially soft wood

Have you considered the fact that your colours are high gloss plastic types tones that are going onto a texture more suited to understated earth tones I.e. pine wood....w b int to see how Dennis blends the two worlds without making it look tacky or gaudy

The body is done like how you rusticate a Pipe. Easy to do. Not proprietary.
