FAQ:
Who is this lady?
Gina Petitti was born in 1935 in Faeto, Italy. It is in the province of Foggia in the Puglia region of southeast Italy. Her family ran a farm in Italy and she met her husband, Vito, in the same town. In 1970 Gina, Vito, and her 4 children immigrated to America. Gina’s husband passed away in 2012, but she is surrounded by a large family, which includes 9 grandchildren, and lives 5 minutes away from her eldest daughter in New Jersey. Gina enjoys making food for her family in the same old fashion ways as she was taught by her mother and grandmother in Italy, and also new things she has subsequently learned from family and friends in America. She also enjoys gardening, and being an active member of her local Church.
Where does Gina get her recipes?
Most of these recipes are from what she learned growing up in Italy, but some of them have evolved over time. She has also learned new recipes from friends and family in America. She is always eager to try new things.
Why is no one helping her in the video?
Grandma Gina doesn’t want help! Usually, it’s because we will slow her down or not do it “her way.” For the videos we only show her, but when the camera cuts we jump in and help form the cookies or prep for the next step.
Why don’t we buy her a new...?
Grandma Gina has a closet and garage full of new gadgets, spoons, forks, pots, etc… but she doesn’t like them because she is used to doing it with her old tools. She has fun getting her hands dirty!
Who is behind the camera and behind the scenes?
Grandma Gina’s retired son-in-law, Nick, does the filming, editing, production, and channel management. Her daughter, Maria, helps with food preparation, kitchen setup and fan support. Also, Grandma Gina usually has one or two grand-kids in the kitchen to help.
Does Gina read the comments?
We print out and show her how much love she gets from all her viewers, and she is very thankful and hopes you enjoy her cooking! Your comments bring her lots of joy, laughter, and inspiration to make more videos to share with you.
Thank you for watching, we hope you subscribe, and we will see you in our next video! - Навчання та стиль
Nonna is a national treasure must protect her at all costs.. There are not many more of her left in this world!! God Bless 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 🇮🇹 🇮🇹
You said it! Go 🐻 Bears!

@@bellablue6292 ❤️ 🙏🏼
A national treasure to be sure. Gina so good to see you in the kitchen making eggplant. Looks delicious. God Bless🙏🙏♥️
She is the sweetest little Italian grandma. She brings back memories of my Italian grandma who made spaghetti and meatballs for our family every week. Thank you for posting these videos!
YAY!!! Gina's in the house!!!🎉 You made my day...R.A. pain is bad today but you are the best medicine for me!!!❤❤❤ ~Juliette in NY.
P.S. My grandafather is from Foggia, too!!! Came here in early 1900s. Grandma from Abruzzi. That's on my mother's side. My father's parents came here from Naples. I love what you are doing...feeding the world!!!💕👍☺💐
So your Napolitano ey?
@samt 1/2 Napolitano 😁 1/4 Abruzzese 1/4 Foggian😁
LOVE her singing! Everything Gina makes - looks SO good!
Gina you bring back so many memories of the cooking that my mother and aunts would do growing up. It was such happy times. Thank you for bringing so much joy to all your viewers. You are very special.
God Bless
Happy Friday!!!!best day ever when our Gina makes a wonderful and delicious meal, her beautiful voice in songs and sweet and inspiring and helpful words-love her!!!
My Italian mother made this for me as a child. I definitely ate my veggies. 😊
You bring incredible joy to the world. A few years ago when mother passed my sadness was so deep I barely could breathe. I watched you, learn from you how gracious life can be. Your mannerism & appreciation for life reminded me so of what mother was like. Even though she was born in a different part of Italy, she came from Calabria. You have heartfelt appreciation from many people♥️♥️♥️🥰♥️♥️♥️May God bless you with good health…
So sorry for the loss of your mom😢 I know the feeling. My mom passed away a little over a year ago at almost 98!! She was 40 when she had me. 3rd one's a charm! That's why I am the youngest/last of 3!😉
When I don't feel well or miss my mom, Gina is the best medicine!💕 She and my mom look so much alike that it's scary. My grandfather and Gina's family are from Foggia...maybe we are related?😊 Ya never know. My mother's side settled in NYC when they first got here. My father's side went to both Jersey and NY.
I make so many of Gina's dishes. This past week I did Shrimp Scampi and last night I did Fettuccine Alfredo. "So delish!".😋😉 Tonight I may do Chicken Francese!
I am so glad to have happened upon Gina's channel! She rules!!!😊🍝 🍆 🍷 🍗🍅 🍞🍋
Gina you are a treasure, thank you for singing you have such a beautiful voice,God Bless you.🙏🏻❤️🇵🇹🇨🇦
That looks AMAZING! I'm going to try this! I've always been taught to bread the eggplant before frying it... but this also looks more healthy and refreshing! Thank you Grandma Gina! You're the BEST!
🌿❤️🌿
For me, too. Remind me of living next door to little italiano growing up, but gana is a healing joy.
Love watching Gina. I have her book. My friend's mother was from Sicily and she taught me to make stuffed artichokes and Italian cookies.
Good morning Mama Gina. Happy to see you this morning sharing more of your fantastic Sicilian dishes. A dozen or more of which I have made, love every one of them. Thank you so much and keep on singing!

I know I always have to watch my fingers I need to wear my glasses thank you Gina you’re amazing.
This looks so good. Not yucky like some sandwich shops like Subway for example. You show us how to make the sauce, breads, and foods of your childhood. They are priceless like you are. God Bless you my friend
Try cutting the fatter end first and you will have the thinner neck to hold on to. I really enjoy your shows and wish you many more healthy years cooking all these wonderful meals that bring so many happy memories for me and others.
So glad to see you and hear your beautiful song ❤
Love Grandma. I wait all month for her new video.
Gina is so awesome. My mother in law is 91 and coming over later today for Thanksgiving. She's from Italy and cooks like nobody's business. With her getting up there, these days she just guides us in the kitchen and tells us what and how to do it. Like Gina, she's a treasure and we're so lucky to have her. Happy T Day all and God Bless. Thank you Gina.
God bless you, Gina! Keep cooking and singing❤

I thought it looked different
I finally accomplished growing Big Eggplant this year ,, thank you Gina for sharing how to use it.
Last year I successfully grew oriental Eggplant and made some great dishes with it.…🙌
Thank you for the recipe and your music 🙏
When cutting those last few pieces try putting the cut side down on the cutting board and your palm on the top. Use your other hand, and knife, to slice sideways through the eggplant. It'll help save fingers.
Mama Gina, you could a big sandwich by adding prosciutto di Parma, provolone cheese, Genoa salami, or canned Italian tuna. Maybe even with some chopped olives or pepperoncini. It looks so good. Grazie mille!
Gina, Gina, I love when you sing in the kitchen; you sound so happy. I know you love to cook. You wanna eat, you gotta cook! God bless you Gina
