Love this video essay! Love the supercut elements - it's so fun seeing women (or men or people) wearing pink in films across history. Such great examples. They're so aesthetic. I love the different sections, great analysis of the different meanings of pink. And I like the music in the background!
A really interesting look at how the colour has evolved. Great stuff!
Umbridge's outfits were turned into darker pink shades as she gained more power during the movie.
Im so happy someone else noticed that as well
Does anyone know what's the name of the movie at 1:06?
Steel Magnolias got the boot. I guess 'cause she insisted that they weren't just 'pink'. They were 'blush' and 'bashful'. She did end it with "pink in my signature color" though. Now that I think of it, I don't remember pink visuals in that film. Oh well.
Beautiful videoooo you should do all the colors!!! Or at least purple lol
As a guy who likes pink, I always have to be careful how I use or wear it due to social paradigms and stigmas.
Idk the darker 31 shades look pretty masculine
