Here again after André's passing. 💔 He was such a beautiful soul with an incredible level of taste, and an eye for beauty and glamour like no other. A boy from the south with larger than life dreams, who turned them into reality. We love you André. ❤
@@janicetaylor1272 Many amazing people aren't truly appreciated until they're gone, it's very unfortunate. But those of us who knew about André knew how special he was, and I think he knew as well.
Galliano and McQueen...my favorite designers. They just blew past BOLD, and became "something else". I define them as being the most fearless designers Ive ever seen. And there are many to choose from...but both of them put the F in fearless. Mugler had a bit of that too, with that heel-less 'pump' that he custom made for Celia Cruz.
Dear FIT... You need to find a decent camera/audio person to avoid these issues you seem to have on the regular basis. Why was the camera knocked off center for a while in the beginning? Why on earth you did not zoom out so we can see the slides they are referencing? Hire someone who knows what they're doing. Or, with all the students you have, you can't find one intern with decent video production skills? This is ridiculous.
And hand-held microphones for AN HOUR?! That is so unprofessional. Guests should not be expected to hold a hand mic that long. This is ridiculous. And Andre's audio level is so high it distorts the sound - just terrible production values.
John Galliano is Iconic, brought fashion back from the dead in the 90s ... despite what Ferre did at Dior, John made Dior hip and profitable again by putting the Dior name back in the headlines.
It is so annoying and frustrating that the photographic images on screen and visible to the audience is not visible in the video. It's as if the cameraman/woman decided to just stick to the standard frame, regardless of the visual nature of the subject matter. It's ironic. Improved 1/3 of the way in.
What an incredible storyteller and authority on fashion trends. 👏 the late Andre Leon Tally - what an amazing episode. I had the privilege of working for Dior Couture for AUS/NZ market during John Galliano's Tenure. And can confirm the pieces and collections are as exquisite and mind blowing as described. My all time favourite is the 60ANS PE haute Couture collection inspired by Madame Butterfly 🦋 ✨️
A captivating conversation, thank you so much ! As a French person, I managed to understand some of the missing words in the subtitles in English, so if you want me to complete them, please tell !
John Galliano is bigger than Dior. Fact check! Its also very sad he lost his name company John Galliano like what happened to Halston. Its very sad. He is a genius. He is my all time favorite designer. Dior now is so boring and not my aesthetics. They still milk what Galliano did in 90s -early 00s...
@@gabrielp931 specifically he told the woman that her family should be “gassed” said he loved hitler. Told her that if he had his way “her mother, father, brothers and sisters would be ‘gassed’”. Called her an “ugly j** wh*re” and said he would kill her “f*cking immigrant boyfriend” (Asian man). He then physically grabbed her when she tried to get away and said “I didn’t tell you that you could leave wh*re”. I’ll link the video to a previous incident that was filmed. And to the news report on what he did to the woman who was trying to enjoy her dinner.
It's always great when a person who identifies as black and claims to have suffered open racial abuse, discrimination, and slurs in his industry and demands that should be remedied, ironically fully supports a designer who was found guilty of racist and antisemitic abuse and doesn't even mention that in passing. The word "hypocrite" comes to mind.

Yes they did. I never met in him person but i connected with him spirit. A small town boy who was internationally recognized
R.I.P
This man’s enthusiasm for life and fashion was incredible. Such a loss to the world of high style.
Andre Leon Talley is a fashion history genius. John Gallano is a fashion genius!
How is Andre a genius? He is a “ pitcher “ of fakeness and make believe erudite .
Love Galliano, and Love Andre. Fashion icons.

Rest in peace, Andre. Your enthusiasm for fashion is infectious and insightful.

Don’t discount what Gaultier did for the 90’s and Mugler.
These stories are priceless !

Apparently he was let go at Dior because he was videotaped making anti semitic remarks while drunk.

Can't see any but the lower portion of the photographs they are talking about.

Gaaliano was a British designer
Totally Love ❤️
Valerie was so quiet during that story.
I got distracted with the camera movement
This is about the book… yet they are NOT showing any of the book
The world of fashion is the most demented
Surprised that the name Pier Paolo Pasolini didn't roll of his tongue. He certainly had no problem mentioning Beyonce and Kim K.
And John Galliano's antisemitism wasn't mentioned.
@@maureenshea4268 if that’s relevant for you, you should not waste your time here.
Apologies they did get their shit together.
Fact check? Madonna in Givenchy “Evita” premier... worn by Shalom Harlow...

lol the way Andre talks about him as if he died. He's probably gagging wherever his spirit is over gallianos recent marginal show
ZOOM OUT !!!! We cant see what they"re talking about
dude wearing a MOOMOO giving speeches on fashion
