You may believe that if you don’t fight against your negative thoughts, those thoughts will become a reality.
Yet, as long as you hold onto this false belief, you will not be able to experience the state of comfort.
You will only be able to be in a moment of conditional comfort. I'm sure you already know this.
Temporarily your anxiety may subside, but after a little while you will have more thoughts and become restless.
Even though you are sitting still, uneasy thoughts and worries will start to emerge.

@Jane White - depression.. there is no reason why someone will start feeling depressed (maybe in her case, deep down she wasn’t happy with her life direction or maybe she had no aim or did not know how to deal with it).. depression has no reason .. there is this famous Indian actress Deepika padukone (you must have seen her pics in Lily’s insta), her first movie became a super hit and after that she went into depression! Everyone was like how can someone go into depression when they just got so much success but it happens. May years later this actress started raising awareness on depression and saying maybe it was the limelight or no, she wasn’t sure but she did not want to wake up, meet anyone, talk to anyone which was a struggle and just be on her own.. so it is quite difficult for anyone to answer what exactly she was going through and why (as most of them don’t know the reason)

i think we millenials are struggling with such new isues and changes that it's very hard for the previous generations to understand. but then we get together in a group of millenials and because we're seeking support and positivity so badly, we will coddle each other. we have to become more honest with ourselves and others and also appreciate that honesty. appreciate the bravery of a friend who stands up to you and says "hey, get out of that pity party, it's your life and your responsibility." - because as dumbledore said 'It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends.'

Your going to fail 10 times before you succeed and that’s okay. The important thing is that you NEVER give up. You are enough, you are special. Get up and work on your goals NOW.

The me at that point was in a different place than i am now. I've seen ppl hate her over mundane things, make fun of her for her content, and ive also seen how she took time off from social media...and only now I'm realising that all through these years somwhow or the other she MADE it.
Me, a person who absolutely stayed away from her and her content had been updated about her, just like a fan. And now here i am, watching this video out of nowhere feeling suddenly motivated and typing this comment out of appreciation for her.

I'm so scared that I have no purpose. I've thought about all these things she's talking about and I'm glad I clicked on this video, ik things won't come to me easily and I'm being as patient as I can.
I'll do my best. Thank you for those words I really needed to hear, to know someone actually was once in what I'm going through rn and ended up succeeding.
Don't mind my comment, just felt like typing out my feelings.

First of all, thank you for sharing your feelings with us. I felt you through your comment and wanted to answer if you don't mind. It is absolutely normal to feel that way. Please don't lose your patience, try to experience new things and keep going. Everybody has a purpose even though it is difficult to find it. Also, don't be afraid to talk about your feelings, you might find people with the same concerns. Maybe the reason you cannot find a passion in any typical domain is because you are here for something that isn't mainstream! Hope this could help! Have a nice day!

Whatever skill or skills you have inside of you that you truly love doing is what you run with never get into a career or anything that you don't love doing you'll end up hating the task at hand always run with what you love an you'll make it
I also want to say this I started doing nails at 16 teen years of age I'll be 34 soon
I did not like doing nails besides my own and my daughter's nails
I began doing hair as a teen I hate doing hair unless it's my own or my kid's hair
I've been sewing since I was a teenager I truly enjoy it but I only use that skill to teach my children how to make blankets and pillowcases etc
I was gifted with a voice and song writing I only use it to teach my children how to write songs and about different notes etc
but the one thing that I knew I wouldn't hate doing for life was helping people especially the homeless
I am now in the middle of opening up transitional housing for the homeless
whatever you love doing in life an you know you'll never grow drained from it meaning you'll never want to walk away from it no matter what happens that is your purpose in life
it took me to hit the age of 32 to realize that is what I truly loved to do so why not get a team together and open a transitional housing for the homeless with actually getting them back into the world as seen humans and not just some invisible fence that people mock and walk all over
If I can do it you can too I'm rooting for you ♥️

As a person who graduated from college 8 months ago, I’m struggling to figure out what to do. I’m lazy, I don’t feel like I try hard to apply for jobs and neither is my mind set on doing a masters next.
I got my degree but I don’t even know if that’s my interest. Right now it’s like: I’ll take any job worth my BA degree.
This speech helps me a little to push myself to try new things, to try harder. But I bet tomorrow ill wake up with no changes.

Start believing that you have a purpose to fulfil, that your every meaningful action will have an impact on the world, or atleast on someone's life, eventually. When you start believing that, you will feel responsibile for your actions, and guilty for your inaction. I use it, and I hope it gives you the motivation to get up everyday with a positive feeling.

I graduated as a Valedictorian in High School and with Latin honors in college. Got my license and had my first corporate job. During my internship and when I got a job job, it's the same I'd end up hitting my head over and over in the restroom almost everyday out of frustration bc I wasn't happy. I'd also find myself wanting to vomit at times and had panic attacks. I was good at my job, my superior liked my performance but I just feel like it's killing me inside. I quit and now I'm unemployed for months. I feel stuck. I don't want a corporate job but I don't have the qualifications for other jobs either. At an early age, people always had big expectations so I'd do anything just to please them even if I'm not happy but now I'm just VERY tired. I've always centered my decisions based on what people would want me to do that now I feel so lost. I know what I don't want but I don't know what I want. Can't help to compare myself to others bc their lives are getting better but mine feels like it's going down. I feel so lost, stagnant and hopeless. 😭
Hopefully like Lilly, I'd find something that I can be really happy doing and be in a place where I'd want to show up everyday.

Thank you for talking with the Millenials letting them know that they need to take accountability for things. Thank you for talking indirectly with Gen X about what Millenials go through, because it really is a lot. This is coming from a Xennial. I'm in between just understanding myself at the mature age of 37. The self doubt needs to do and so does the arrogance. They are both petulant with the very poison that will destroy the person who seeks to use it. There is no gain or admiration there. Instead allow yourself to face your doubts (as you said) so that you can literally become confident (the enemy of the arrogant) and moving forward becomes easier. No, life will always have its challenges, but you can use your true confidence and life lessons to get through what you face each step of the way. I hope anyone who reads this gains something from me. Thank you for making this amazing video! Blessings

I just realised why people want to fit in, in high school, it’s because we are in a class, being spoken from a teacher amongst 30 students like we are robots and that we follow rules and directions the same way and we learn the material all at the same speed, all at once. And... it’s not like that, we’re all different human beings that all learn differently, talk differently, are differently, so why should we be spoken to the same?
Also I get it know why a lot of people in this generation are depressed, and it’s because we grow up with our phones, iPads, etc and we see all of these people with perfect noses, perfect homes, lots of money, plastic surgery, and we forget that we are special too. Because we constantly see these fake butts, fake boobs, all fake, for what...to be like everybody else? nahhh, that’s what makes you.... you, people like others because they’re different, because they’re not the same
