- Today I tried an interesting Thai Foot Massage with an acupressure stick also known as Foot Reflexology.
This is not your usual Thai Foot Massage, this massage is achieved by using a wooden stick to poke, kneed and rolled around your foot.
The masseuse uses various technics they've learned from using a stick. There's a lot of pressure being used while she's massaging your foot. But once they're done, you'll feel nice and relaxed.

I do also @Balarishisha Lyngdoh. All Thai masseuses do that before before they massage their customers. It's their way of paying respect to their (massage) teachers. So I've been told 🙏
In all Buddhist cultures it is very important to do anjali (wai) at certain times. It not only shows respect, but it gives one a moment to center oneself and sense one's internal state.

It may hurt a little from time to time but pleasant and relaxing overall. I usually fell asleep before it was over.

I am in Cherokee, NC, USA and searched for a local massage salon and found one nearby in Sylvia, NC. It said 30 minute Thai foot massage so I looked it up on UA-cam and found this video. I had something similar today in Bangkok. I didn't know what to make of the little tool but it added to my regular foot massage experience. If you get this done somewhere in SE Asia, please don't forget to tip. They usually make very low salaries.

I’m trying to unwind before sleep and my feet are throbbing they’re so sore and oh what I wouldn’t do for a foot massage right now. I have a head massage on the 23rd and a full body massage on the 29th. The stick he uses in the video looks really good as he prods and pokes the muscles forcefully.

As a person who is addicted to foot reflexology. I knew that those who are licensed really press the points with an amount of time and when they notice you feel some weird pain in the area they will work on those areas and then they can figure out issues related to those parts. For example, if they press slightly in your uric area and you feel extreme pain just slight press they will advise you to do something like eating less salty, avoiding too much meat, alcohol, sugary foods etc.....same as the other points if you feel weird pain.
Not many farang in Thailand the last 2 years with the epidemic.....
