Wow! I would have never thought thank you so so much!!
Thank you. Short and sweet
Thanks so much for sharing!😘😘😘
Thank you for answering my question.
You're very welcome!
Love that is to the point
Did you mirror the white htv?
why dont they make a transparent one?
When doing the image in this manner, can the image be felt on the shirt? Also, does it make the shirt stiff where the image is located?
Yes, and yes.
Heat transfer glitter is thicker than regular HTV. The graphic we placed on our tee is relatively small. So it's tolerable for most people to wear on their t-shirt. If you want to do larger images, some may find those tees less comfortable for extended wear. However, if you place large pieces of glitter HTV on thicker items, like hoodies or jackets, the feeling is less noticeable.
You can also try this on non-clothing items like canvas tote bags, decorative throw pillows, etc.
Can you cut the sublimation image on your cutting machine? Cricut/Silhouette
Yes, using the print & cut feature.
Will this work if you use the transfer paper made for an inkjet printer?
Sorry, this process only works with sublimation transfers.
If my glitter is cut at 11.4 wide x 11.699 tall, what should my sublimation print be sized as? How much larger is a “little bit”?
0.25" to 0.4" on each dimension should be okay.
Pressing it so long will no ruin the integrity of the heat transfer vinyl, making it come off sooner?
Will this work on any color shirt? I am guessing black was used so that any excess sublimation over the vinyl couldnt be seen?
Yes, it will.
Does the glitter show through the sublimation ink.....I need to do a men's shirt
Yes, the glitter is very apparent. If you want to use your sublimation printer to customize a dark and/or cotton garment, you might want to look into printable sublimation media like Siser EasySubli (ua-cam.com/video/0zS-s-lr2v0/v-deo.html) or Forever Subli-Flex 202 (ua-cam.com/video/ZEiILv9XdBg/v-deo.html).
I think maybe you answered this below. I'm wanting to make white glitter for my son's football number (44), then subliment his photo over it. My question is how do i cut out his image to be a 44 to subliment over the white 44.
Great question! If you're in Silhouette Studio, make your 44 in your desired font and size. Make a duplicate, so you have one to cut and one to print.
For the print 44, drag your desired photo into your workspace. Position it under the 44 as you please (helps to move the photo to the bottom, so you can see the outline of the 44). When the positioning is right, go to your modify panel and click CROP. This will crop your image to the 44. You can print this one to sublimate on your cut HTV.
How do you get the unicorn on the vinyl? Do you have to have a cricut?
In this video the colorful unicorn transfer was printed with a sublimation printer. We then trimmed the paper down to make it easier to line it up with the glitter HTV that had already been pressed on the tee. We then sublimated the printed image onto the glitter HTV.
You can definitely use a Cricut to cut out the glitter HTV, but you will need a sublimation printer (like a Sawgrass SG500) to print the colorful part.

do you need a special htv vinyl or its a normal hvt vinyl?
We have tested different types of HTV and Siser White Glitter HTV is the only one that works well for sublimation as shown in this video. heat.press/siserglitter
Can any glitter vinyl be sublimated? Can I sublimate on regular glitter vinyl from Hobby Lobby, Cricut and such?
Hi there! We have only tested this method with Siser glitter, therefore, we can not confirm if it will work with other brands.
Question? Can you add htv on top of all that? And if so how many minutes?
Yes, you can. You can apply it at the appropriate heat settings for the vinyl you are using.
Does it have to be glitter vinyl?
Does it matter the fabric of the shirt?
Siser Glitter can be pressed onto cotton, polyester, cotton/poly blends, and leather. We're just sublimating on top of the glitter, not the tee. The glitter is what's actually being pressed onto the t-shirt.
How did u get the image without color , how did u blank the glitter unicorn?
We had a vector image of the unicorn that was cut out of plain white glitter HTV.
What kind of T-shirt is it done with
You can use any kind of t-shirt, since you're sublimating the glitter and not the shirt itself.
can the glitter vinyl be larger that the sublimation design? thank you
Yes, that would leave a border of blank white glitter around the sublimation design, which is desirable in many cases.
Will any white glitter HTV work, or does it *have* to be Siser?
We've only been able to test with Siser Glitter HTV, so we're unsure of the results on other brands.
Debi Lewis Any success with glitter HTV other than Siser yet? I’m planning to try Cricut’s.
I have use cricut glitter htv and it works fine
I want this option without glitter. has this been accomplished yet? I know I am not the only one who does not want glitter
You can do this with regular white htv
@@nicolepritchard9902 you can do it with reg white htv but it wont work the same...they sale something called EasySubli its basically white htv you sublimate onto
heat transfer warehouse has them. i bought 2 rolls. good luck getting a response on usage of the product.
Can use holographic htv
can i use regular white htv?
No, we've tried it and it didn't work. Only the white sublimation HTV will work for this application.
If you want to print directly onto white HTV, you should check out Siser EasySubli - ua-cam.com/video/0zS-s-lr2v0/v-deo.html
did you mirror the vinyl
All HTV must be mirrored before cutting.
so much banding in that print
That's actually the material pattern of the glitter HTV. It's not really noticeable at first, but it's more clear now that we've sublimated an image onto it. Also, if you look at the printout before we pressed it, you can see there's no banding.
My shirt is ruined. This does not work! Do not press the glitter at 385
We've tested this multiple times, as have many of our customers.
What kind of shirt are you working with (brand, material)? Also, what brand of glitter HTV are you using?
I pressed onto a red dish mat and the red bled through the white glitter vinyl making it pink 😞
