@@bigk2198 lol keep telling yourself that commitment and marriage means a great life for a child. Then you might want to take those rose-colored glasses off.
People can do a complete turnaround and be different the moment a child comes into the picture. Take my ex-husband for example. He was a great guy, his family was so loving and welcomed me with open arms. He got me away from the abuse of my own family. His family were well known in our home town as great people and were in the police force and lawyers and such. We didn't fight or argue and he made sure I was treated amazingly. We moved in together after getting engaged. It was great no red flags at all to me or anyone else I knew. I got pregnant even though I was on birth control which confused the heck out of me. The OB/Gyn said it can happen no birth control is 100%. He was offered a job that paid really well in a different state so we moved. Two years after we started dating we got married in that state, and our baby was born into a committed marriage. There had been so much going on that I did not realize none of my friends and family (that was not abusive to me) were contacting me. I learned later that he had made sure to cut everyone off from me other than his family. After we were married he quit his job because he was tired of management telling him what to do. After the baby was born he started to hit me (because his mother told him to, because she didn't like my dishes drying in the dish drain when she would come to visit). During a fight after I learned he had been cheating on me constantly, which started after I had the baby, he told me that he had tampered with my birth control to get me pregnant because I was a "b1t(h" that wanted to keep him from having kids. We moved back to our home town and I learned the reality of his "amazing family" even though I had known them for 2 years before all of this I had not known the real them. They are horrible abusive people.
I learned the hard way no matter how long you know them (or even have lived with them) people can hide who they are. My abusive aunt is the same way. People outside her house think she is a saint, but her family knows the truth.

I don't understand why the judge didn't believe Ms Johnson when she stated that her family was messy because where are they? They are not in court with her. Heck, my family can be messy. I do believe Ms Johnson when she stated that the Messy Minister Mother cussed her out which was the reason she didn't notify them of the birth of the baby. I was happy when Mr Lewis gave her a hug because she needed it.

    • @samuelturner6076

Because she doesn’t know Ms Johnson like that, and all the evidence and statements presented before her did leave a reasonable doubt. Heck the way she conducted herself with her facial expressions and what she said out of anger in that phone call in March don’t paint her in a good light so it’s possible to see it as her family could’ve been telling the truth trying to help them out and she was lying.
I have a messy family so I understand that Mrs Johnson may have full well been innocent and her family is just trying to drag her down, bud as an outsider with all the information presented to me that seemed to be the less likely outcome before the results.

I don't usually pile on the mothers, but just to see her smile when she said she did as college kids do, I suspect she had many more than just these four, and that she possibly didn't even know their name. What a mess. Markisia will never know who her father is.
