Nice! I was hoping to catch some OR action this weekend! That TF EVO, baby! So silky smooth, I can't get enough of it zipping around the track. Wonderful stuff, mate! 😊
I've been waiting for this one Craig! RIP TT02B! 😭😭 It was much closer between the other two than I expected mate! TBH the RWD DT was so much faster than the sum of it's parts 😲😲 just showing what an awesome entry level Tamiya it really is. Of course the TF was the expected winner, but hey, that £88 buggy sure held its own! Awesome stuff, Craig my man! 😍👊👍
Cheers Mark! Been a long time coming this one but we get down to the final two!! The DT03 is a surprising kit for the price and to be fair the TT02B is fairly up there too! They consistently do well on the Orchard which is a great proxy for most UK back yards which was where RC started for me back in the 80s! That Top Force though dude… it has so much more there which I have not got to yet! Surely it can’t be beat?????
@@theoagrc Agreed matey - this series is a wonderful example for how these cars perform in the most used setting, back yards and little made-up tracks at a local park! Real world racing, I would call it! And no, I don't think anything can beat that marvelous Top Force, but as we've seen before, *anything* can happen in racing!
Hey there Jeremy! You are right about that DT03 bud. You know that is has a chance against the mighty Evo but I think it is a slim one! Thanks for tuning in my friend
Yeah, this is proper RC enthusiast entertainment! I'm always enjoying these OR series, but I think this year has the best format, and these finale deathmatches are just so cool! Already looking forward to the next one, of course I have my bid on which one wins, ha ha!
Thanks for your feedback Mads! I am so glad you are still enjoying the Orchard Raceway after three years of content!! If I could make both of these models win I would! Not long to find out who goes up against the Durga 🔥
You have three of the kits I currently have my eye on. The Top Force (non Evo), the Dark Impact and the DT-03. I'm having a hard time figuring out and once I do, I will change my mind. Great video!
@@JarrettDorough If you want my humble opinion…. get all three! 😁 The Top Force will drive very very well out of the box. Mine is the Evo but I am sure the standard will be amazing also. The Dark Impact is a nice RC but I hear it can be a little fragile (others might say differently). Mine goes really well every year and with a little tweak I think it will be down under 6s round the Orchard. The DT03 is amazing value for money. It is RWD so handles differently and is a slightly more challenging drive. If I had the money for one of the three I would go for the Top Force then save up and get the DT03 later 👍🏻
Great driving Craig... But I wanna yell at ya like Mic Dundee at the water buffalo, LOL... I cant pick a winner, they all win.... Good stuff again my friend.
Cheers Bob! We are nearly at the end of the season and this has been one of my favourites but I was unable to pick a winner when it got down to these two! The race machine vs the budget underdog! Surely the underdog can’t win it all….
For a budget friendly buggy it held its own out there. Just didn't have it in the tank to make another gold medal run this year. It should be an interesting last couple races for sure!
I think the wheel and tyre change cost it dearly Addam. I am tempted to switch back but I have too many other projects that need new shoes this winter 😁 The final two are set for a head to head! The DT03 a former runner up on the OR and the TFE on its debut year!!
Hey top stuff Craig. The DT-03 is certainly delivering for such a reasonably priced RC but the Top Force takes it and looks great out there. Top Force to win I think 🤔
Thanks for watching Pete. The DT03 is going so well given the price point. Just shows how well a basic chassis can do if it is well designed. The DT chassis can take a fair bit of abuse out there also which is good to see. The Top Force Evo is something else though! Will it be upset in the finale though??
How cool did that Evo look out there doing its thing mate?!! It looks like you have that thing dialed in nicely....it almost looks as if its on rails!! Would love to see this one come out on top this year fella! Is that chinese take away tubs that you have your models sitting on up on the shelves? 😅 Awesome idea,i have mine all raised on old wheels/tires.....but the takeaway tubs look much better balanced! Looking forward to the next installment Sir.😊 👍 👍
Not long until you find out now fella! The Evo is amazingly easy to drive though 😁 The DT03 is far harder but when it links up it is one of the fastest cars in the fleet. Takeaway tubs make for great car stands!! I got an industrial size pack of them as they are good for storing parts in also! I was using wheels and tyres from the model but if one falls it is like very expensive dominoes!!!
Being single, and unable to cook i do end up with many take away tubs mate.....I will have to start washing them and saving them up!😅 Dominoes lol....😂 Yeah, thats never fun, especially when the cars are fully restored rare vintage shelf queens😩!!! Evo for the win this year🤞 .......dont think ive even driven mine this year, need to get it out around the figure of eight at some point. 😊👍 👍
@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC The Evo has been an absolute pleasure to drive about and I can see what all the fuss is about on the DF01 platform now! Makes me want to get a TA02 and rally it but I need to find the right one first! Glad you liked my take away solution pal! Hope you and the crew are doing well
@@theoagrcYou definitely need a TAO2 in the fleet mate..... Honestly, I was thoroughly taken back by how well it drove, it is soooo much better than the newer TT02! As for the DF01, I may have just 'aquired' a vintage car on this platform as part of a Tamiya time capsule that I received last week! 😉 I filmed an unboxing last night and have it uploaded as private to UA-cam studio. Not sure as yet whether to release it publicly as it was recorded on my phone which hasn't got the best of cameras compared to Taylors iPhone that we usually use. If we don't release it I can always forward you a private link mate..... there's some awesome vintage goodies in this box of tricks! Hope you and Min are keeping well.... and still scoffing Haribo! 😂 👍 👍
TFE vs. DT-03, tjis'll gonna be interesting👍
Thanks Dirk! It is going to be a brilliant finish and then we see if the winner can take down the Durga

Hello Craig!! 0:46 Noooooo!!!!!!! Not the TT02B!! At least ,FROG ARMY is ALIVE!!
Absolutely still alive Paul!! Will it upset the Evo though????
@theoagrc fingers crossed

Yeah pal! I decided that the fleet needed thinning out and the Cougar was one of the casualties
