  • Devices like the Loupé (and its ancestor the Echoplex Digital Pro) can be overwhelming in the depth of their feature sets. Many users of such devices find themselves gravitating towards a smaller subset of functions and focusing on those, while largely ignoring others.
The flip side to developing a personalized vocabulary in this way is that it’s easy to overlook other functions that we don’t typically use, and might not think to explore. So this video hangs out entirely with a few Loupé factory “games” (aka presets), working with some highly curated combinations of very unusual functions, to see where they take us.

Thanks for reminding us all that guitar can be more than “blues in Bb, watch me for the changes, and try not to get lost”.

"Aphex Twin has entered the chat". Great example of how, even in the synth world, one eventually discovers it best to focus on mastering fewer tools more in-depth rather than gathering a bunch and only knowing a little of each. Cool demo.

lol, what!? that's amazing! i was laughing at one point at how bonkers it is. are all the buttons and switches available via midi? being able to do it with your feet seems like it would be a good option.

No MIDI on the Loupe, at least in the current version of the pedal.
