- First lady Jill Biden and Social Secretary Carlos Elizondo previewed the state dinner for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida. The Bidens will welcome Kishida and his wife to the White House Tuesday ahead of the official visit and state dinner on Wednesday.

@piusx8317 It is customary to honor a visiting foreign government official with a state dinner at the White House. How fortunate that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and his wife are visiting during the springtime when the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom. I thought the floral arrangement was particularly stunning, and the cake is simply too beautiful to eat. What a special dinner for all the invited guests to enjoy and remember!
