Loving all the yarn!!! And, I totally agree with you about owning an animal. You have to be able to spend time with them, love on them, walk them, and not just leave them alone all the time. 💜
JUAN!!!!!! SIR!!!! The way I gasped when you spoke about making the tiles from Spanish speaking countries!! OMG!! I am so excited about that! Yes, please, where do I sign up!?? What an incredible idea! Also, I love learning more about you....and learning about your mom being deaf. A couple of friends and I used to sing in sign language every Christmas for a deaf friend, and we also signed at a "concert" in a nursing home and a boys home one year. I can sign...reading sign is my downfall....they are so fast!! But my friend was slow with me and she would let me finger spell if I had to. Great memories. Hugs to you and your mom!
Good afternoon , love these color ways, beautiful. Can’t wait to see your Spanish Tiles made up! You are great at your videos! Love watching them not much time but working them in, I will get you caught up! Thanks for sharing! I full heartily agree with you, what fun is it for a fur baby if your to busy to spend time with them. It’s true!
Thank you for mentioning and appreciating our vets. My husband spent 21 years in the military before retiring. I've always been so proud of his military service. Again, thank you.
Love the colors in this haul. My dad is a disabled veteran and I agree that for everything they’ve done and gone through for serving their country they definitely don’t have enough support needed. It’s good to hear when someone goes out of their way to show them some love and support, thank you for your kindness Juan!
I'm pretty excited about you showing and teaching Spanish tiles, I absolutely love tiles. I have wanted to learn to make them so, this is very cool news! In one of the other videos recently you had a beautiful orange and teal, believe both were Mainstay. But they made me instantly think of sugar skulls, and I have seen some beautiful mosaic patterns for sugar skulls.
Juan love all your yarn hauls and I love Krista too! You are so right about fur babies as well as the vets! They give everything for us as a country and we don’t give much back! Please thank your family for their service.
Juan I am also lover of yarn and animals. Jackson Gallery affectionately called “Cat Daddy” has always said, if you are going to adopt a cat, get two! He is so right. I adopted our cat Sneezy at the humane society. She was obviously sick. Sneezing hence the name, one eye seeping. Adopted her went straight to the vet, got her medication and in short time a beautiful tuxedo little girl. Like you said she picked us. Bent down and her little paw patted our heads. Knew she was sick but also knew nobody else would take her for that reason so 7 years later she has become more and more loved if that is even possible. At my pet supply shop they have shelter kittens there for adoption and I would have them all if I could afford to do so. I crochet blankets for them also. Cats will be fine if left for longer periods of time. But if I do it again I will definitely get two! Right now Sneezy is the diva of the house and I don’t think getting another cat would make her happy being she is older, but yes think about adopting two kittens. They would keep themselves entertained as well as you💕 Love your yarn hauls. Gives those of us that only shop the local stores something fun to see from far places. Looking forward to your tutorials and your take on different yarns. I love 5 weight yarn. Also pronunciation of skein. I have always called it with the long A sound. I never heard it with long E sound until I started watching Crystal years ago. No wrong way to pronounce just what we are use to calling it. Like you my mom and grandma who taught me crochet and knit called it with long A sound. Maybe a regional thing, who knows. Anyway thanks for taking time in a busy life to entertaining us.
I say skeen, but I’m from the south and we make up pronunciations all the time. I am not picky about pronunciation, as long as I know what you’re talking about LOL 😝! At first I thought the second mixed bag was sock yarn, but it’s not usually rubber band feeling 🤷🏽♀️. I agree with you on furbabies, unfortunately a lot of them find us. We have 2 dogs and 16 cats. It’s okay though, we have acreage and hubby is retired and I’m disabled, so we have the time. People found out we couldn’t turn down an unwanted kitten or cat, so we acquired all we can care for quickly. They’re all spayed/neutered and well fed. We even have a raccoon and possum that eat the leftover cat food after dark LOL.
Crystal was right, as always, you have fun and knowledgeable yarn content and I’m so glad I subscribed to your channel❤️ Your so right about the fur babies needing good homes with their humans to love and care for them. Thank you for spending time with us yarny peeps on another wonderful video!!❤️❤️
I have several veterans in my family. They do not get the acclaim they deserve for fighting for our country, so we have freedom. You are spot on about animals. They become family members. While I am allergic to cats and dogs, my husband gets joy from having them. We have Clark the dog and Lilly the cat. Thanks for another wonderful episode.
Totally agree with you on pets. Too many times people get a pet and don’t realize the responsibility and work that comes along with being a pet parent. 👍
My favorite of your showing was the Twister DK in Water Green - gorgeous! I can so see that with a dove grey and/or a muted lavender. . . Ice Yarns are such fun and even with the shipping pretty much doubling the price, they are still a good deal. I completely respect your decision to support animals in other ways than adopting right now. When the time is more right, you will know or rather the animal will let you know! 😺Cheers!
I love Krista so much too, her Ice yarn videos are epic!! This has been my year to order from Ice, its pricey to deliver to Australia, so constantly checking that postage as i choose!! Just sent an order yesterday, they have such a wicked range of funky yarns. Love your videos, Juan, i feel like Im sitting with a friend as i knit/crochet, chatting yarn!! And you would make a fabulous parent to a fur baby, you have such a tender and kind heart ❤
Your excitement for yarn is infectious!!! Aubergine is my favorite shade of purple too!! Love love love your ICE yarn haul and I have a suspicion who that antique pink yarn is for. She is so amazing and will love whatever you make her! Have an amazing day on purpose!!! Trish
Those 2 purples with the cream would be stunning together. My mama & I always used to share &?swap yarns! It’s something I really miss when shopping / ordering yarn 💜 And she & Grandma always said “skeeen” not “skain”. You say it any ol way ya want 😉🧶
My husband is a vet and an amputee. My Son is a disabled vet with sever back injuries at 32 so I agree. I make lap blankets and phone cases a little big for their phone, wallet. I made bags for the back of the wheel chairs too. The Vets are not taken care of right . I also agree about fur babies they need love and taken care of and time to spend with. You are awesome Juan God bless your beautiful Mom for her amazing son.
I’m truly enjoying my Sunday morning today. Crocheting as I’m listening and glancing over. The bag with the velvety stretchy yarn kinda speaks accessories like key chains 🤔 nice haul Juan ❤
I always have to get a pen and notebook when I’m watching you so I can get all this yarn content and notes. I’ve gone down that rabbit hole and I’m in Ice Yarn heaven. Love Love your content
Hola Boricua! I am so proud of your meteoric rise - so well deserved.👏 I continue to learn and be inspired by your video content. I can't wait to see your Spanish tiles!!
Love all the yarn! I agree with you regarding a furry friend. I had to put my baby down at 16.5 yrs old on feb of this yr. I lost my best friend and my company. I do not want another fur baby! Too heartbreaking and very expensive! I spent thousands of dollars on vet visits and meds bowls sweaters food toys treats. He had the best of everything. I miss him alot! Still cry! His name was Twix! So I do understand! Have to board them when its time to go on vacay or places they can’t go to. I work from home but did work in an office for a long time and he was alone but he was still young. So yes it’s not fair to them that we leave them alone for long periods of time. Ok enough about my baby boy. Thanks for yarn haul #1. 💕💕 oh I say skeen! Lol!
I say pronounce skein anyway you want. Knitters & crocheters know what you mean and that is all that counts. I have always pronounced it like the “ei” is a long “a” or skayn/skane.
You say “skeen,” I say “skayne” … but who cares? It’s all yarn, and listening to you talk about it is so much fun! … love your scrapghan ideas - what stitch do you use for those? I’d love to see them sometime! Thanks for all the yarny enthusiasm - so inspiring. ❤
Juan is on fire!! To me Juan is the next "BEST" yarn addict! Juan gives us a multiple of different ideas to try and I love a one stop place to view it all!!
Sorry double comment again! Thank you for helping Vets! My dad was career Air Force & much of it during a time of lots of hatred for military. Every cat & dog we’ve had over 35 years has shown up at our home! Including the 4 doggos we currently live with. Yes, you must be home to spend the time & attention with furry friends or they are miserable 🐶🩵
Juan, loving your content and straightforward non nonsense style. I’m glad to see how your channel is growing and at this rate you’re on track to hit 10k subscribers before the end of the year.👍🏻
As the internet is global and I'm Danish watching from Spain, how you pronounce skein, seems indifferent. Also whether you call it a ball, a cake or something different 😂 We know, what you're talking about. English is full of different dialects and pronounciations anyway 🤷♀️ I look forward to see your work with the spanish tiles. There are amazing patterns, just from province to province, and so many mosaics in all the streets, entrances etc ❤ It's a great idea!
I wanted to let you know I’ve been watching you for a while. You remind me of a gentleman I worked with. I’m looking forward to your Spanish tiles! I’m in love with the Persian tiles. I hope to see your creation soon! ❤
Hey Juan, that twister DK yarn looks really nice! I will one day try Ice yarns. A couple of years ago my neice wanted a beanie and her favorite color is purple but she wanted it to be dark. Well, I didn't know much about yarn yet or purple colorways (it wasn't a fav). In my search I discovered aubergine and fell in love with its richness! Purple (any shade) is now in my radar. 💜 As for Vets and fur babies, keep up the good work! I agree pets should pick you, our first dog did! 🤗 My sister and I bought out an estate sale of yarn and part of our plan is to make blankets for Vets when she retires and we live closer together (she has the yarn half way across the country, lol). Have a wonderful day!🩵
You are so right about our vets. Also I agree about furry friends do adopt their moms and dads. My Tucker dog adopted me at a shelter over 12 years ago. 😊
I love the way you are comparing the feel and the thickness of the yarn to other yarns. That's what I always liked about Crystal as well. And you mentioned fluffier once lol. That really helps! When the mandala craze came out a few years ago I broke down and tried a mandala cake. I hate that stuff! Incredibly beautiful colorways, but it is so sin to work with. I can't believe they call it a worsted number four yarn! It's what I would call fluffy with no weight. So it's awesome when you can compare some of these ice yarns to others that I'm familiar with.
Hi ☺️👋 awesome yarn Juan no greens? No yellows opps piranha golden antique pink (Crystal )pea green does not make it for me as green 💚 love watching you thank you for sharing Nora 🙏💞🙏 please
I have always said skane, long a, for skein. It's what my grandma said. Wonder if it's a regional thing. I'm in the midwest. When I first got my little doggie over a year ago, she was from an unwanted pregnancy, I put all my yarn aside for a month. No time for yarning with her around. Since I am retired, I do have time to spend with her. If I was still working, I would not have gotten her. Now we are buddies. She crawls into my lap whenever I work on a project. Not easy to turn an afghan when shes there. We make it work! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Juan, I’m glad you asked about how to pronoun the word skein. I had trouble with this word years ago till I said to myself I need to say this word correctly. So have a dictionary app and it pronounces any word you type in. So the word skein is pronounced as if the last part of the word were written with the word cane. So since then I pronounce my skein word as if it was spelled like this skcane. So according to my dictionary app it pronounces it skcane. love you dear brother, your doing a great job, love to watch you. Hope this helps you, I know other U tube channels say skein but I’m at home pronouncing the word out loud as if they can hear me skcane. Lol, yeah have a great day!
Hi again my new best friend Juan! I say it like you...skeen. my brother and sister in law always make fun of me and say it with the long A sound, kinda like skaynn. I just assume it's like potato/potahto. I learned it from other UA-camrs since that is how I learned crochet. Have you ever thought about mixing purple and green? I'm planning on making a blanket with the eggplant and juniper color of premier basix. People tease me but you like what you like, right? Watching your videos my eyes keep going to that green yarn you have.
Maybe get a bird!! I am liking the "situation" LOL. I like the twisted DK Yes, The tiles would be really cool. The veterans yes, sad. You might have to start crocheting 24/7 to get all these projects done.
Nice Ice yarn haul. I would like to see your shawl you are wearing. I have the same yarn in my stash. I have planned to make some hat of this yarn. Thanks for sharing ❤
I totally agree with you regarding our vet's. My Dad was a Vet. I do at least 30 scarfs per year at my cost for my local Vet;s on top of cooking for daily lunches. Not telling you this to brag but it is so highly needed.
Yes. I say it skane rhymes with Shane. I LOVE doing scrap projects too. I donate a lot to my local homeless shelter. I would love those mixed bags. I didn’t know ice offered that.
Oh, wow! You showed us some beautiful yarns! You make me laugh every video Juan! Not at you, please! You don't take yourself overly seriously and you just say things that are funny! Pronunciation of skein....I first Crystal, in fact, 3-4 years ago say skeen. I went "huh"? I live in S E. IA. I had never heard that pronunciation! Here we say "skane"! I've never looked it up to see if there is an absolute correct way to say it because as far I'm concerned it's probably a regional thing. I have heard it now said both ways. However anyone says it I know what they mean. I don't believe there is a correct or incorrect pronunciation! It's just kind of like I grew up hearing it "skane". That doesn't make it right, lol! So say it the way you feel comfortable! Love your content Juan and your way of presenting it. BTW, your subscribers are increasing at an incredible rate! Goes to show how awesome you are! You appeal to lots of "yarny" people. Keep up your messaging! And congratulations!
Agree....Juan is a gem to the yarn community! So happy for him! He doesn't need anyone's help getting there because he is so very multi talented, great with color combo's and different projects and idea's.
Totally agree with the vets and have made lapgans for them. Also make pet blankets for the shelter. Have you ever considered an aloof cat? You can always speak to someone in the shelter explain you work long hours so you want an aloof cat. One that's independent not a lap cat. There are many that really need a home. Most people want a snuggly cat, but an aloof cat might be just the companion the two of you need. They can also be harder to place so you can really help a kitty by getting an older aloof cat.
I am a vet myself as a matter of fact I learned to crochet while stationed in Philadelphia learned from women's magazine in a teach yourself tutorial for right handed but I just kept trying to make what I did look like the pictures now watching u is a bit strange cause my brain automatically switches to right handed comes in handy since I knit right handed so I can switch between the technics and handedness
The way you say skein is fine. It’s like the way the east coast says “pocket book” but the west coast says purses. Or couch in the northwest and Davenport in the south. Dinner in the west coast and super in the south. There just words that mean the same things. Witch mess me up with cross word puzzles.
I think it's great that you look after the vets and the animals at the shelter etc. I'd love to do some charity work but I live in a little rural town and our local SPCA in the next town closed down!! So the only thing I can think of is to make baby blankets and donate them to Plunket which is our govt funded org that looks after new mums and bubs doing the post natal checks on baba and keeping an eye on mum. I was gonna go in to ask the nurses if that would be a good thing to do or newbie hats/beanies, I just haven't pulled my finger out yet to do it, but I'll defo do it after Xmas. 🎄❤
I agree with your thoughts on pets pick the owners. I also agree with why you do not have any at this time. Perhaps someday? Who knows? Anyway, thank you for sharing your very large yarn haul. See you in the next one.
Love watching the ice yarn unboxings. I still haven't ordered from them, *yet*, every time I watch one of these I add more stuff to my cart. And i pronounce Skein the way you do. I might need to start making a spreadsheet to put the yarns on it that I see on your channel. :) I was really curious about the mixed bag, so it was great to see it.
Juan nice haul. I have doggies and cats. Cats are independent and don’t require much of your time. They prefer a lot of alone time. But would probably love your yarn. Could be a problem lol.
Another sub from Bag O Day! Thanks for reviewing the twister dk! I'm allergic to wool so I'm always looking for good soft acrylic yarns that are affordable with great colors. I generally prefer 4 weight yarns but 3 isn't bad. I also love a good purple with browns/neutrals and would be all about a poncho (maybe with sleeves), scarf (maybe triangle), or cardigan made from those colors! I think that purple would be pretty with the browns too. 💜
lol, I got part 2 before part 1. Already watched part 2
Loving all the yarn!!!
And, I totally agree with you about owning an animal. You have to be able to spend time with them, love on them, walk them, and not just leave them alone all the time. 💜

You are exactly right. If you dont have time to spend with a fur baby then you shouldn't get one. I agree with you. 😊
I'm in love with those colors❤❤❤❤ you can wear anything!!!
I love the cellophane sound.... it means I'm about to see Ice Yarns! Beautiful yarn.
The love the new yarn Bagoday got called “Juan the enabler “. 😂🤣

Yarn barf? Hahahaha! We've always called it yarn babies! Yarn barf is way better!!! Hahaha!
❤ I think your 💯 right I also think the same about pets. And the Vets blessings to all. Take care and have a wonderful day ❤
I watched part 2 already😂Doing a catch up again. Commenting for the algorithm.
I have several veterans in my family. They do not get the acclaim they deserve for fighting for our country, so we have freedom. You are spot on about animals. They become family members. Totally agree with you on pets. Too many times people get a pet and don’t realize the responsibility and work that comes along with being a pet parent. 👍
I say "skeen" just like you. Scrap-ghan, what a wonderful idea. Maybe you could show us the next one you make. Thanks Juan.
It looks like I would like the twist to. Very nice. I think when I have time, that is a good idea to make a scrap throw or blanket.
My favorite color is purple too 💜 it would be cool to see one of your scrapghans.
I love listening to your videos while crocheting and I'm happy to hear someone else crochets to help others

I can't believe they call it a worsted number four yarn! It's what I would call fluffy with no weight. So it's awesome when you can compare some of these ice yarns to others that I'm familiar with.
I love ice yarn glad Crystal sent me here
I made a scrapghan years ago and much to my surprise I fell in love with it and it is my go to afghan when I need warmth.
Such excitement when a yarn box arrives!!!☺️☺️
Hi again Juan 💜😊!
I say Skeeen also...lol 😂
I can't wait for the spanish tiles...what a great idea...
Hi ☺️👋 awesome yarn Juan no greens? No yellows opps piranha golden antique pink (Crystal )pea green does not make it for me as green 💚 love watching you thank you for sharing Nora 🙏💞🙏 please
Bag o Day is sending people your way. So happy to find you.
Those small balls are great for amigurumi makes some great hair or clothes etc 😊
Late to the party but still happy to be here ❤❤❤❤
Hi again my new best friend Juan!
I like the twisted DK
Yes, The tiles would be really cool.
You so Amazing, love your video
I’m loving ALL these colors btw!
Yes. I say it skane rhymes with Shane.
I LOVE doing scrap projects too. I donate a lot to my local homeless shelter. I would love those mixed bags. I didn’t know ice offered that.
Thank you for helping the vets! My family has always said skeen. I also don't mind either pronunciation.
Also have 3cats all with different personalities
Hi! Crystal at BOD sent me.
LOL I saw part 2 first. Thanks for this video. Congratulations on being so close to 7000 subscribed! So excited for you!!!!!
I love the crinkling bags!
I ❤❤❤ Ice yarn!
This boricua over here is so looking forward to a Spanish tiles tutorial!!
Obsessed with your vibes
I agree with your thoughts on pets pick the owners. I also agree with why you do not have any at this time. Perhaps someday? Who knows? Anyway, thank you for sharing your very large yarn haul. See you in the next one.
Can’t wait for furry friends tutorials. Sweaters for dogs. ❤❤❤
Congrats 7k! 🎉🎉🎉
Love your scarf.
Ha. Almost dropped a stitch when you were revealing ‘sax’ blue!
Beautiful haul
Thank you for doing another video.
