Appreciate y'all watching! Hit that subscribe button if you enjoyed. Despite shrimping🦐 every putt Michael's game made some serious improvements. Proud of that guy!
Getting a par is good. The fact you drove the green on your first round of golf is even more insane. You're going to be a great golfer. It's a game you can play for the next 50 years. You're just getting started.
Ur insane dude lol. Crazy impressive. I had a super dumb smile on my face the hole time watching this video, so wholesome and enjoyable hahaha. Next video, a birdie?!?!!?
I just want to say. This is one of the most influential videos for golf I have ever seen. It shows the raw emotions of golf, how hard and easy it could be. How positive and negative it could be. And that no matter what, anything good or bad could happen the next whole. So just have fun and play golf. I absolutely loved this.
This is the best way to learn golf. Most people starting out go the driving range for their first year or so and ingrain bad habits into their swing before learning the correct ways of swinging. You then spend the next few years trying to undo that first year. You're literally saving yourself years of practice by starting with someone who knows what their doing teaching you.
Yeah exactly, you also don't learn course management, awkward ball placement where you're standing with the ball higher or lower on a hill, hitting from bunkers, uphill/downhill distances etc. You can be a pro on the driving range and lose every ball in your bag on the course, leaving divots a groundhog would blush over. Learn swing mechanics on the range and then put them into practice on the course. It's daunting when you're new thinking everyone will laugh you off the course for slicing a ball into the woods but that was never the case for me. My first time golfing was in a 4 man scramble tournament that wasn't a shotgun start so there was like 100 people out there watching...of course I was the first to tee off and I hooked it hard onto the patio of the clubhouse. Of course there was laughing and chuckling but nobody had anything negative to say. I learned when that happens everyone is just glad it wasn't them and the embarrassment is 100% internal, everyone has seen horrible shots and they're just out there having fun enjoying themselves. New golfers expect everyone to have their nose in the air judging your every move but I've found it to be completely opposite. Most people started in the same position and love to share their knowledge and love to see you progress, so learning on the course should be embraced and encouraged.
We went from beginners luck with the first couple swings on the range, to feeling the pressure, trying to hard, "tap it in" moments, couple great drives, golf fatigue, to finishing strong. Great video
That was awesome! That was so much fun. Great story telling. My first time out to a course was last year. I had put in tons of hours at top golf to learn how to play then finally went to a course by myself. I was paired up with a dad and his two sons, i was so nervous, I told them i've never played before and then went out and CRUSHED my first drive. They were impressed, i didn't par the hole but was pretty close. Then i didn't hit a good drive the rest of the day.
Love this video and the vibes these two have playing together. Nothing gives me more joy than going out golfing with friends and family that don’t golf and getting them excited to play and get better. Would love to see more of these two in future vids
Crazy how athletic skill really does translate. He picked up striking irons well so quickly. It’e take the average person his age like 2 months to hit those shots.
I have never seen this channel before but this was legit the most fun watching a video I have had in a long time. What a rollercoaster of emotions! So great!
22:32 was me just about amonth ago i hadnt played in over 10 years rebought some golf finally and went out. and when you are trying to spot a ball you hit and you cant quite find it only to see it sitting somewhere perfectly is such a rush of emotions it feels incredible
Gonna be honest….i wasn’t planning on watching all of this but just getting back into golf ⛳️ a month ago!!! This video is gold lol glad to know it’s not just me!
Recently moved up in the company I’ve worked at for 8 years into an upper management level position and as it turns out all upper management employees have a golfing tournament once a year with a few of our customers and I have never picked up a club in my life lol. Just got a set of clubs and have started going to the driving range so that hopefully I won’t make a fool of myself. This video really helps motivate me! Thanks for the video
First of all I just want to say awesome video and what a rollercoaster haha! Second, quick reminder that Michael is making his first golf game ever which means he should be at 54HCP and then make 3 golfcorse-bogey's is just crazy. For him, it's 3 Eagles (HCP counted). Well done Michael and hope u keep it going, and what a coach Josh! 😄
I’m just getting back into golf after about 15 years of being away from it due to work, college, and deployments. Love the videos and the advice you gave him will definitely help me as well.
What an awesome video, inspiring and had me riding that rollercoaster with yall. Great student and GREAT teacher! Dudes gonna have an amazing golf game after this, incredible example of the beautiful game of golf.
I care about golf 0%, but this was so entertaining. Was on the edge of my seat. Heard about it on a Ghostrunners podcast episode and thought I’d give it a watch. 10/10 content 👏🏻
6:50 BAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA that was the funniest 💩 ever homie must have been super embarrassed to be on camera with those swings. Like aye how long are you gonna let me swing out of my shoes for?? 😂😂😂😂😂
I have to make a pause 20 ( 20:00 ) minutes in, and i got so excited for another golf tour. It's the best feeling when you get the swing. That's why we love sport and especially Golf. But as he said "Drive for the show, Putts for the dough". I belive he can do Birdie this year.
I won't lie I'm high right now, but this video was ABSOLUTE CINEMA!!! The story built up beautifully and the comedy intertwines itself within the banter, it is splendid and a piece to remember. I'm forever grateful I got to see this masterpiece!
As someone who started Golf this month, I have rarely seen such a relatable video. I very quickly got the hang of my iron swing, hitting the ball very well for a complete beginner, and I very much not got the hang of my Driver swing, where my only range session so far looked very similar to Michael's. I'm definitely putting better than him in this video, but what broke my immersion finally is him driving a damn Par 4 lmao. He's able to hit the Driver almost double my distance! Anyway lovely video to watch as someone who's currently in similar shoes to Michael's. Subscribed.
This was great! You had him playing Bogey and Double Bogey golf for a few holes! With the way he drives the ball he could definitely break 100 easily and that’s not easy for new golfers!
Unconstitutional- what traffic law did he break? Where does it end? No eating, no talking in the car? Slippery slope… many guys drive better drinking than most ditsy 16 year old girls. The young girls kill just as many, but it’s ok because they are sober/ not on the phone?
What time is it??? Hangtime!!! Grace, Love, Peace, and Mercy!!! 🙏✝️ Josh, you and Michael are great together, best guest you’ve ever had on the channel!!
This is such a sick and exciting video for a brand new golfer like myself, based on how well this video did what are the odds you’d ever do another one with a viewer?
This had me laughing so hard with my wife trying to sleep next to me 😂😂😂😂 tee time 9am in the morning fathers day 😂 hit the other club with the driver priceless 😂
That is one of the best courses to learn to play golf, Lake Park Golf Course in Lewisville. I use to work there through college and it’s where I really learned to play. Great video man and way to go on getting Michael to par a hole!
Hey Josh, new golfer here. Wanted to yet your take on what side you should hit from being right handed in life. Should you be golfing right handed as well or should you go with which side feels better? Thanks in advance!
Where can I find that training grip? Just getting back into golf after basically a 15 year break. That looks like it could be really helpful for me and my son who is just starting to play.
ammmazing video makes me want to go out and play golf after a few years without playing -right now-. pls dont use your phone while driving though it's super dangerous
I couldn't do driving, my back was in agony after each practice session; this was at 32. It's good to know that a D1 athlete right out of college had similar experiences. My result, a semester focusing mainly on the 7 iron; 1 time on a golf course and I got it near the hole on 1 stroke on a par 3 (the teacher was the only other one to make the green and his rolled off.) The last hole I pulled a 'tin cup' but the teacher didn't want to waste more golf balls. 1 good hit that session.
Lake park is a very easy course, but to get a park and 4 or 5 bogies on your first time out is pretty impressive. Also saw you started out at Bridlewood, my home course, and where my kids get lessons. Seen a lot of you tube golfers there, like Luke Kwon and the Good Good guys.
Appreciate y'all watching! Hit that subscribe button if you enjoyed. Despite shrimping🦐 every putt Michael's game made some serious improvements. Proud of that guy!
You are a patient man. Good job. You did well.
Let's play the 9 hole together
Gotta learn to chill, keep your emotions in check and listen to your coach, he knows what to do. Do it.
So chill and do it.
You are best 👍
Don’t FaceTime and drive
I'm Josh's friend, Michael. What a rollercoaster of emotions... My golf game is forever changed thanks to Josh. Great video!!!

I loved it too. I've never been on a golf course before either and this makes me want to give it a go. See if I can get me a par using his tips.
LOL that driver sequence on the range was absurd🤣

broooo 😭😭😭
Yes it was. Bro seemed very uncoachable and completely unable to own up to messing up.
Michaels energy drove this whole vid. Couldn’t have gotten a better guy for this

24:37 “don’t think about it too much” -proceeds to think about it for 15 seconds
Thinks about it for 1,000 seconds
Driving the green in his first ever golf round is really badass. Great content 👍🏻
Josh, I watch A LOT of YT golf videos and I’m honestly putting this as a top 5 all-time entertaining video. Incredible stuff, congrats buddy!
Means a lot brother!
Josh will be forever addicted to golf now
Was thinking the same thing.
We went from beginners luck with the first couple swings on the range, to feeling the pressure, trying to hard, "tap it in" moments, couple great drives, golf fatigue, to finishing strong. Great video
Appreciate you brother!
Watching Michael walk with the golf bag backwards after the glowup was gold
Jesus Christ D1 athletes are just built different, take this guy from AM to scratch

This was amazing. You need to bring this guy back and do more videos. Loved all the energy and excitement!
Love this video. Michael’s enthusiasm is so fun to see. I hope he sticks with it. Oh, and get that 5 iron reshafted!
Appreciate you Gary! We’ll get that 5 iron fixed don’t you worry
More of this!!! Awesome storytelling, love the vid!
Crazy how athletic skill really does translate. He picked up striking irons well so quickly. It’e take the average person his age like 2 months to hit those shots.
Bro that soft subtle "let's go" on hole 16 damn near brought a tear to my eye. Good freaking job you 2.
