The ladies pronounce our words so WELL!!! 😮👏👏👏👏👏👏💖🇵🇹
It's called Porto Wine because it's originally from Porto, Portugal's 2nd biggest city it's in the north (actually it is stored and it ages in Porto, but it comes from lands near the River "Douro")
@@IDCarlosC Isto sempre me intrigou.
I've seen allot of videos online of foreign people reviewing and trying our pastries and meals, these ladies were by far the best! Actually took care in knowing how to pronounce our words correctly, researched background history on the recipes. I mean, bravo to you both! Obrigado!
It's impossible to resist our egg tarts!!! And they are great in every place in Portugal, but these ones are really special! Even many Portuguese think they are the best! Whenever I go to Lisbon, I always try to get these ones! I love the faces they make with each delicious dish!

Port wine It's a north city named Porto, and where the English who promoted it to the world therefore Port(Porto) wine
It was so fun, seeing their faces eating the egg tarts, the octopus and the lobster. Portuguese food is amazing! I'm happy both of them enjoyed it so much 😊💕
Someday i want to try them hehee it looks yummy tho
As a Portuguese this made me happy 😍😍😍😍
You got it half right, Porto wine is from Portugal indeed, and we could relate it to its name since Portugal comes from Portucalense that was the a county that "started" the country, in that county there is Porto, today's the second biggest city, and Porto Wine comes from that today's region of Portugal and extension that goes from Porto in north of the country to spain, Porto wine is a fortified wine with is own denomination produced in that region that is a DOC region called Douro. thanks for making this kind of thing interesting to see in a way that people enjoy, Kudos!
I'm Portuguese, from Lisbon. Older people tell me that when the tarts were made with home eggs and milk, they tasted even better but of course, nowadays due to pasteurization and safety rules they need to use pasteurized products so it tastes slightly different. I only know the ones you ate. They are still perfect though.
Iced coffee ohhh My grandmother used to give us in summer when we were young.
Japqnese Pan comes from Portuguese Pão but Korean form comes from Japanese.... so indirectly from portuguese
Do you know that fish and ships partially came from Portugal. In the Iberian peninsula we have peixe frito (fried fish) normally with rice. The British just tried to improve taking out the bones... and flavor...cof cof
I am Portuguese born in Mozambique and I loved your video and the importance you give to Portuguese cuisine. You should also know that we were once the greatest power in the world in the age of discovery.
I am Portuguese from Madeira. UA-cam channel "Off The Menu" has a great video about our cuisine. I believe you will be impressed.
@@bettymilcarek5195 I already saw it, really amazing! Obrigado pela dica :)
🇵🇹 attention pastel de Belém Isn t an ordinary pastel de nata. There is a pastel de nata competition that envolves bakeries of all country but pastéis de Belém do not participate.
Pastel de nata was considered the best cake of the world 😎.... So proud😅
Btw CNN said Portuguese gastronomy is the most hidden secret of Europe😉
Atlantique Portuguese fish and sea food is one of the best in the world.
A comida de Portugal é a melhor!!! Obrigada❤️💚🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
The best of the world. Welcome to Portugal a little paradise
i've never seen a video like this (foreigners trying my country's food) that i've enjoyed this much!! both women are so nice and truly adorable and i LOVED the way the described the flavours, such interesting connections and references. This is how you do a video showing any kind of cuisine :) everyone must take notes
I'm very happy they liked our food :))) Regards from Portugal!
It was an honor to welcome you here, one day I would like you to come to Porto, it's a beautiful city too and with good food. And I'd like to help you if you come here again.
It's like food wars💜, loved your reactions. It just made me miss my home food even more.
Portuguese cuisine is underrated
You never understand, until you eat in Portugal.
We did sail the world for them spices
@@lordcommandernox9197 The brits too. Sailed the world for spices and herbs and decided they liked none of them XD
@@kuroganekaze how dare you criticize beans on toast
Another thing you can do with Bolo Rei is toast it , i love to toast it and than eat it with butter while drinking a coffee
i clean a full bolo rei in 30 minutos if is fresh ,but a good size one ,easy easy
Sim, fica um espetáculo!
i was so impressed with how well you can pronounce portuguese words! also i love our food so much, i'm glad you loved it too
The reason for the name of port wine (vinho do porto) is because the vineyards that make the wine are in the city of Porto and every variant of port wine is only made there.
for the octopus to be so tender and soft because it is cooked in the pressure cooker, in Busan I chose octopus because it seemed not to be spicy but it was so hard that it was difficult to eat
I love to travel, but I'm not very good with new tastes and I can't eat spicy, but I still found very good food in the 3 cities I visited Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island, I will never forget that at Banpodaegyo Bridge I was watching The Jets of water from Moonlight Rainbow Fountain I remember seeing a lot of people getting fried chicken and soju and I asked one group how I could do that and they were so kind and invited me to eat with them with my very very basic Korean mixed with English, I thanked them but I couldn't eating spicy when I noticed it has red sauce lol while waiting for the second round of the show they invited me to be part of the group and talked about places I could visit, after a few minutes a man arrives with more fried chicken but no sauce for me when I tried to pay they didn't accept it and when one of the girls found out I was a fan of SHINee she invited me to join her and we went to several places together, I still talk to them at Kakao 3 years after
The Porto Wine, is called "fine wine" were it is produced: DOURO VALLEY.
The bulk wine was transported by boat, since REGUA, to PORTO were it was bottled and exported.
In fact, the wine was bottled and exported from VILA NOVA DE GAIA, a town in the other side of the Douro's river, in front of OPORTO,.
PORTO(Portuguese name of OPORTO) is a marketing designation.
I'm so happy that they loved everything from my country 🥰
I love the happiness you show eating our food ❤❤
What a really nice Tv show, funny…perfect! Thank you so much for showing and enjoying our wonderful country in such a beautiful way!!! 🙏🇵🇹🥰💓
Thanks! Best Regards from Portugal!❤🇵🇹

Them two ladies gorgeous.
The video was well edited, well done! 👏👍
This video was so much fun to watch. The joy of eating good food is so evident in their expressions 😃, just love it. Their pronunciations were so well done. So glad they enjoyed it.
My grandma loves to eat this with coffee every day right in the morning
i loved it , El and Shou they need to come back to try new things !!!
PORT wine doesnt mean it comes from Portugal, it is from the city of Porto, where the wine is made 😊
O meu país e incrível ahahah
That is not a snapper but a "dourada" - english: Gilt-head bream - and the only thing portuguese will put in them is pure olive oil, no, absolutely no more sauce, and never mustard because it would spoil the delicate flavor. Also, not targetfish but "peixe-galo" - zeus faber.
OMG you were in Nazaré , my living town wow!! I was not expecting that ! Hope you enjoyed it😍
I like the egg tart..it looks delicious..such mouth watering 🤤
I always drink my capilé without coffee. Originally it can be just the syrup. It's a XIX century drink very loved by Eça de Queirós.
I'm a great fan from South Corea. I like very much you like our food and In the next time you must see the North of my country and you find a diferent good food. We have a crazy type of sandwish call - FRANCESINHA.
PASTEL DE NATA CRLH!!! 🇵🇹❤️
Pastel is a pastry , yet I am so glad they enjoyed all that food.
Happy to see you girls liked it !
Omg the girls are amazing, so sweet and they were really digging all the experiences, great for them!!!
Cheers from Portugal
Good job in showing many good dishes! :D
this was so wholesome :) i am glad they enjoyed my country
Porto wine is called Porto wine cause it originates from Porto, another coastal city in north of Portugal.
The cod is fished far away from Portugal, in the cold Northern Atlantic near Canada or Norway. In the old days, cod-fishing expeditions would take months and were very dangerous. The fish would be salted to be preserved inside the ship, and then brought to Portugal, where it would be cut open and dried under the Portuguese sun. A typical Portuguese supermarket has piles of salted and dried slabs of cod. It's one of our oldest culinary traditions.
Proud of beeing portuguese...
I am so jealous watching this😭😭
que saudades de comer bacalhau à brás
Portuguese here!!! 🇵🇹
This makes me proud of being Portuguese
I can't believe Lee El was in Portugal :')
Loved the video, I'm really happy that our contry it's being recognized for one of the best things!
Next time you come to Portugal, you have to come to Castro Daire and try 'Bolo Podre', it's a typical Easter bread of the region. Other food I recommend you is: 'Cozido à Portuguesa', 'Bolinhos de Bacalhau', 'Arroz de pato', 'Queijo Serra da Estrela', 'Francesinha', 'Canja', 'Caldo Verde', 'Carne de Porco à Alentejana'.
For drink: 'Licor de Amêndoa Amarga', 'Aguardente de Medronho' 'Licor Beirão' 'Ginja' (those 4 contains alcohol) 'Sumol' 'Compal'.
Correction Porto wine as the name of the city where it was 1st produced Porto city. All the Porto wine wineries are along the Douro river that ends in Porto.
Tender octupus needa to be frozen and then unfrozen. Wash it and put it it some boiling water (no salt). Dip the tentacles first and then when those are kinda pink you can submerge the head. Let it boil until you can stick a wooden toothpick in it. VERY IMPORTANT, NEVER EVER handle your octupus with metalic tools. Always wooden. The only metal allowed is the pan.
"EGG TART" LMFAO also- pastel isn't a pie
2:00 YOU DID NOT OPEN IT LIKE THAT 😭😭😭😭
Woow and delicious food. I need the recipe please 😁.
So nice us you put it😂😂😂😂😂
Portugal is beautiful and de food is wonderful 😊❤
Congrats to all for the video, i love to see the name of my country talked all over the world. By the way you need to try ameijoas á moda de São Jorge (Azores island), sopas do espirito do Santo (São Jorge Island), Carne carne de porco à alentejana (with São Jorge clams).
My area also have a bakery made best Portugal Egg Tarts. Yes! Have to admit, they make best egg Tarts with high standards
as a portuguese, i loved this video xD
That fish isn't Sapper, it's Golden Sea Bass. Thanks A LOT for this video. I'm from Portugal, btw :)
My favourite, PORTUGUESE EGG TARTS!!
Portuguese people loves good food and drink, will take a year to taste all the recipes😊🇵🇹
Aww you're in my Nazaré 🥺💖💖💖💖
Porto Wine as in wine from Porto which is a city from the north part of portugal
I am a lisboner a portuguese. I cook tomato rice and that fried fish in a regular base. That takes fried shoped anion and garlic, fried in olive oil. Then add the shped tomato, can add also a sip o f red wine, but the wi e is not a must. Once the tomato is melted, add water and once boiled add the rice, once the rice is cooked seve immediatly with it's water wich is it's sauce. The fish, salted it some hours befor. The pasa trough flour and frie. I also use to serve this in the summer with salad and in the witer with fresh turnip or kale sprouts.
The tomato rice does not take any peppers at all.
Though we also have a pepper rice. Wich is done the same way as the tomato rice. The only difference is, we use green pepers and when it is the time to put the tomatoe to cook, instead you put the pepper, and this time you put no tomato.

wow wow wow
"port wine" does not mean wine from Portugal, but wine from the city of Porto
Is "portuguese" not "portugese"... correct it please... and thank you for caring about my country❤
23:39 It's not because it is from Portugal the country. It's because it is from Porto the city!😅
Pastel de nataaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa sinto a tua falta querooooo
👍👍
wow
Next time visit Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia ..... ;)
@8:45 isnt snapper expensive?' hahahaha
I can buy in a local market for 4€ (5350 Won or 4,4 USD) one entire fish., sometimes bigger than that.
Pão-de-Deus ai tão bom! 😭 Quero muito uma versão vegan. 🥺 I want a vegan version of our pão-de-Deus, seeing it makes me miss it so much 🥺
❤
Wowwww
Welcome to my country.
They are warm because they are freshly backed.
Amazing video. Thank you girls for giving this chance to the cuisine of my country. If I may suggest something is that the next time you will have the opportunity to eat that snapper again, eat it with your hands I assure you that will taste even better and will make the experience 10x more pleasant
Bolo rei....cake of king...the "original" cooked in caol ovens....and more fild whith dry fruts and raisins and nut
Just a correction on the subs: its cream tarts, not egg tarts
Don't let them cool down. You have to eat them warm. I'm a Lisbon native and have eaten so many before I became a vegan haha (pastéis de nata)
Its Portuguese not "Portugese". But good video. Thanks
😂Ladies your taste is wonderful, Bolo-Rei is terrible!😂
