Btw there is a free method to mod an old 3ds on 11.17.050 so if you could make a tutorial about that that would be appreciated and will help ppl that have an old 3ds

The internet browser is not going to shut down.
I highly doubt Nintendo would honestly go as far as to disable their browser considering how it's basically still available in the DSi + 3|2DS & Wii since they have all kept their browsers online after discontinuation, so it gives me allot of hope that it WONT happen, but still this is a good procaution non the less but I'm just saying the chances are extremely low & unlikely based on how desperate Nintendo can be for such an old console. (then again we did get a firmware brick update for the 3DS so Nintendo is pretty much unpredictable.)

is this needed or just a mephod for after the browser shut down? does it do anything difrent from the browser mephod? can you just use the browser mephod until the shutdown or does this give you new functions?

Yo Scott, with online services shutting down for 3DS soon, how would people homebrew new and old 3DS since it relies on internet?
Nintendo probably won't patch the browser, and even if they do it, the homebrew 3ds modders will find a way

I have a Wii U I modded a few years ago, and has been in a box for a few years… I got it out again. Can I just update what is on my sd card and be good to go, or should I factory reset the console and start from scratch?
Honestly, I can’t decide on getting the tools to mod my switch, or sell my Wii and get a WiiU, because you can just install mods for both the vWii and WiiU, which gives me waaaayyyy more games to play.

Scott One question. If i turn off the Wii u After modding it without highlithing aroma Will it boot back in the modded state or do i have to do the dns stuff again?
It will boot back into stock. In order to get it to boot into aroma you need to install the payloader and set aroma to default. I'd recommend using the full guide linked in the description to get it all set up!
When I drag the app files it says it won't transfer all properties, any way to fix this?
I already did the old exploit do I still keep it or do I have to use that one to keep my homebrew?

Just because the Internet shuts down next April, possibly doesn't mean we won't use the browser anymore. Also I tried to use the old exploit method on my Wii U, but it freezes.

The official notice didn't say anything about the browser being unusable, just the online co-operative play, internet rankings, and data distribution.@@funkyscott47
This is not for the faint-hearted don't attempt it unless you are very technically minded!
Technically the internet channel on the Wii was never DISCONTINUED, but most websites don’t work on it because they are too new for it. Flashhax itself is also not a very good exploit since it works about 60% of the time.
That's fair, I suppose it makes more sense to say the Wii shop was discontinued leaving it impossible to aquire the internet channel! Thanks for point this out :)

if you buy a new one, just add all the same files you had on it before. (main homebrew files when you initially homebrewed it especially)

Tbh the exploit doesn't really matter if you got the payload installed. If you havent done that you can for sure still use my other guide :)

So Aroma will start ever when i power up my wii u ? i want this type of mod. i dont like to do exploit every time
In the environment loader (the blue screen with the aroma option), use Y to set aroma to autoboot. If I'm not mistaken, you should be able to open the environment loader by holding + on boot, so long as you've already homebrewed your Wii U. If that doesn't work, just redo the DNS exploit to get there.
Just as a note, I haven't used this method myself, so I'm not 100% sure this will function the same way as it does with the previous exploit, but it's worth a shot

Btw if u didnt know the wiiu is also gonna shutdown the internet Not just the Browser yep the whole internet connection there is also an exploit to prevent nintendo from blocking ur internet

no because this is a way to get aroma/tiramisu so since you already have it theres no point and it wouldnt work
If you already have homebrew you don't need this method for the exploit :)

they are shutting down internet servers but the browser may or may not be discontinued, we can only wait to find out for sure!

Make sure you have stigpatches in the setup folder as well

Yes, the same way as before by going to the installer, DNSpresso is just a different exploit, everything else is the same
