@@tuftycupid8721 Yeah, the sequels are a turd. No matter how much they try to polish it with good cinematography and good CGI, it's still a piece of poop
Hard agree. The sequels overall are... just good in my opinion. But they have some of the best shots, lighting, and effects in the franchise and really just in any major blockbuster film series in recent years. The prequels have amazing lore and world building, and the originals have the best character development and storytelling. So I agree that every Star Wars film has things that make them stand out.
@@darthtrip7188 First off, thanks for acknowledging me, I don't get many replies. Second off, just because I don't classify Rogue One or Solo in the Skywalker saga doesn't mean I don't think they don't belong, they just have this uniqueness from the other films for kind of purposely not being made to actually feel like an episode of Star Wars, for instance, they don't have the classic star wars cutaways and the music isn't John Williams throughout so I might rank the music a bit lower same with the characters, and they both also don't have that classic Opening Star Wars scroll so I like them still but on different levels, I don't have the same connection. So here is my ranking: Rogue One Ranking Music-6/10 Special Effects-8/10 Cinematography-10/10 Dialogue-10/10 Story-9/10 Characters-6/10 Average: 82% Really Good Solo Ranking Music-5/10 Special Effects-8/10 Cinematography-8/10 Dialogue-7/10 Story-6/10 Characters-5/10 Average: 65% Okay
Man, I love the sequels. Cinematography at its finest, great storytelling, interesting new characters and arcs to explore. Rounding off OG characters and even hardening back to the prequels here and there. Amazing
The Sequels may have their flaws, But the style, music and story are cool af. Really makes the newer generation a star wars fan, Haters don’t like it just because its not the same as it was before like the prequels or the originals. For the Skywalker Lightsaber everyone says its Anakin’s, Yes it IS his but that’s not how ownership works, for example: If I make a chair and I die and my child inherits it, Now its his to keep and will no longer be mine since you know, I died. I personally like The Rise of Skywalker the most but the story, The Last Jedi killed it. To end this comment basically everyone has their taste, and just because you don’t like something someone likes, doesn’t mean you have to bully/insult him. Its Star Wars, we want peace, not the war. May the Force be with you.
Agreed. Only because something doesn't meet one's taste it does not give anyone the right to harrass people who liked it. I, for example, don't like the prequels as they did not meet my taste at all, but I don't waste my lifetime on hating them and writing negative postes/comments about them (animation, CGI in general, costumes, character developement and story just didn't meet my standards. Watching them just bores me but that's my problem not anyone else's).
As someone who really doesn’t like the sequels, I still agree with this comment. There are good things in them (the VFX, the acting, cinematography, etc.), but I just the story was too inconsistent between movies because there was no unified vision, and then Palpatine being thrown in at the end annoyed me. However, I don’t think anyone should hate on people because of what movies they like and the sequels have great moments within them.
I watch Star Wars for one thing and thing only: To be entertained. And that's what the Sequel Trilogy did for me. Don't get me wrong; I love the Original Trilogy too. For the Prequel Trilogy, IMO, it's more of a trilogy to watch once or twice because it didn't really entertained me that much.

I freaking hate these films and the story that they told. It's an inconsistent vision with a lack of a plan.
I love every piece of Star Wars canon even the bad stuff in it only a true fan can understand this
Totally man totally
The movies look beautiful, but tastes awful
True fan = Understands the criticism of people and know when it has flaws.
"true fan" = Loves everything about it and blindly ignores the flaws that are there.
@@OfficialEdwardNewgate Yup, those who hate Star Wars the most are Star Wars fans
@@tuftycupid8721 Yeah, the sequels are a turd. No matter how much they try to polish it with good cinematography and good CGI, it's still a piece of poop
Just gorgeous. These are probably the most beautiful movies I have ever seen.
I have to say the films are all beautifull in their own way

Right on, man. This is an awesome scoring, in my opinion. Thank you for this. I'm just curious..how would you score Rogue One and Solo ?
So here is my ranking:

I agree
Story? In concept it was good but executed poorly
Episode IX was good, little rough around the edges, but good.
Hate them or love them you can't deny their cinematography and obviously the music by John Williams are GREAT!
this is amazing!
Thank you!
I love the sequels! This game me chills!! I lovvveee star wars man. Keep it up!
Thank you! I will!
I watched this video for one thing only: to find idiots. And that's what this comment section did for me.
@@user-sk1kq3rm3b Translation: "I'm a hateful and immature bastard who throws temper tantrums when people disagree with me."

Steve yedlin's cinematography on the last Jedi made me fall in love with visual story telling just in film in general. It's absolutely beautiful, the best shot Star wars movie ever.
I’ve found it. The one youtube comment section that is mostly in favor of the sequel trilogy over the prequels and even often prefers it over the originals. This requires more examination... (sequels best trilogy imo btw)
Exactly what I through ! True Fans in the Same Place.
Shockk i wont disagree with this, as I like the sequels. Definitely better than the prequels. But imo only better than Return of the Jedi, i love ANH and TESB. But just my opinion

Dude, that editing, omg yes!
In 10 years people will suddenly notice how brilliant this trilogy is. Same happened with the prequels. Hate never lasts forever...just like in star wars...
Not gonna lie, that musical swell at 4:13 while seeing Rey and Ben go from opposing each other to fighting together made me tear up a little bit

The worst writing and the best cinematography

Even the opening scene of TFA has more weight than the (as I like to call it) “Faceless Ships Assemble” scene.
Not just the originals, but the prequels and the sequels too, I love them they’re Star Wars and I treated them like Star Wars (And the Story’s, the TV Shows, the Legends, the Canon, the Books, and the Comics)

Not my favorite trilogy of the 3 but i honest really like it ! Especially the last jedi aka the most gorgeous star wars movie !! Great video !
Beautiful.
Finally a person who likes the sequel
I like all the trilogys
I remember when I was a kid aged 6 years old in 2015 when I first saw “Star Wars” for the first time. It was “Star Wars: The Sequel Trilogy” (2015-2019) with “Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens” (2015), “Star Wars: Episode 8 - The Last Jedi” (2017), and “Star Wars: Episode 9 - The Rise of Skywalker” (2019).
They should totally play these things at the end of final films
2:56 it’s such a shame that one of the most breathtaking striking visuals in not only the films but the entire franchise doesn’t actually make sense
The ST is the best looking trilogy. Don't @ me.
I know, they look gorgeous, might even be some of the most beautiful looking films of all time, however is still prefer the prequels and originals over ST
I hate the sequels, but that is true. I'll say that the cinematography is good.
It by far looks the best out of all the movies like the prequels had like almost no practical effects and the sequels had so many good practical effects it felt so real
