Transmission problems: For Hyundai Tucson, two types of gearboxes were provided - 5- and 6-speed mechanics (the latter was installed only in tandem with a diesel unit), and a four-speed hydromechanical automatic. Despite the satisfactory level of reliability of all transmissions of this model, the W4A42 / F4A42 automatic transmission, which is a joint development of Hyundai and Mitsubishi, still looks preferable.

My 2008 Tucson engine has no timing belt. Rather, the engine is equipped with a timing chain, which doesn't need any replacement. I have driven my Tucson for 11 years since 2010. Overall, 2008 Tucson is a very reliable model.
the 2005 tuscon is really good car to own and drive i consider it very reliable. Note this is my own personal opinion im not being bias as i do have and drive one myself
how many km / mph has yours done mine started doing weird shit at 200 000 km there a fkd design even if no problems it drinks to much 18 gallons per mile is below average
@@panrz if youre running a v6 instead of a inline 4 that could contribute to the high fuel consumption. And yes mine does have electronic and wiring issues which i will DIY but overall its nothing major, also if ur tuscon lacks vehicle servicing that can lead to high fuel consumption as well

bought 2007 diesel automatic ignition switch spring front right crankshaft sensor steering rack starter motor alternator exhaust flexipipe catalytic exhaust full carbon new one valve also egr valve now 86000 mi 2023 never had a car with so many problems

My 2010 tucson has 400k now on the desh but still in good condition i drive it every day

@@krikorpapazian2437 was stuttering and stalling due to DCT. And then the transmission completely failed. The company has worst service and customer relations too. I’m totally traumatized about the auto industry now.
newer hyundai's are really badly built in terms of reliablilty

Thats one of the worst years to buy, the older ones are great vehicles
