Bonnie Ross green-lit this project, pumped infinite out as a halo textured sci-fi shooter, got her check and bounced. Oh yeah, It's definately gonna be something stupid enough that it's against Halo lore, Cause in most franchises, Literally just 97% people can't survive a headshot unless they are immortal or have regenerative powers.
Both Ackerson and Soren made complete turnarounds in character for no reason other than the plot needed them to in the moment. Also Soren’s wife seems to get worse with every episode
Not true go back and watch you can clearly see them heading in the direction they arrived at. the wife even said it in this episode and Ackerson does care remember his sister was in the spartan program he didn’t want what happened to her to happen to his Spartans.
@williamhenson2929 lol you are very misinformed. The augmentations that the Spartan 3s received were comparable to the Spartan 2s. In fact I think they are stronger. Alpha company's attack on the the covenant refinery showed us that the 12 year old spartan 3s were over powering/ snapping the wrists of elites without the help of Mjolnir armor strength boost. Their training did not include higher learning with Deja, their training was more combat oriented/ team work in a military setting not some weird lord of the Flys crap.
@@calebreynolds9183Actually no. They just abducted orphans of war. Pump them full of drugs and that's pretty much it. There augmentations can't even be compared to sparten 2s. Not addressing the fact that the guardian symbol and the flood symbol are in their respective places on the forerunner door? As shit as this series is. This episode came almost close to hitting some canon. Best episode of the series if you ask me. Miranda has a potential to serve her father's role in CE, being taken by the flood.
This is Halo if it was directed by a man in a coma for 20 years only to come out and say my favorite color is white. I cannot fathom the overall theme of this show is alien bussy is so good the best fighters are killed off and left behind so they can put a mark on a box called PLOT. These writers are taking Halo and shitting on it. I hope it gets another 10 seasons so we know for sure they should never be able to take another IP and AI write it into a black hole.
The script feels like it was written by multiple different people using ChatGPT to make up for lack of skill. Then they smashed all the awkward pieces together to make this monstrosity. I'm glad you put out these reviews so I don't have to experience the pain of watching something that I loved get bumble fucked by people that have no clue what they are doing.
But the question is do the people making the show know that? What if the flood isnt even a parasite in this show? What if the gravemind is a humanoid figure? That is why I chose to entertain the idea that it’s not the flood because I expect that to happen and this show has taught me to not expect what makes sense to actually happen. We’ll find out next episode (maybe?)
OK I feel like we well passed the bad writing since a while, the people that adapted this story seriously need some kind of help, there is no way they are fine, nobody is so bad at something. All my respect to the poor actors that had to put their faces on this...thing. Anyways @TheDirtyCubeMan you should do the same commentary on Disney's Star Wars series, you are truly amazing and the only reason I'm still watching Halo 😄
Kiki Wolfkill was there for every scene and approved it. She purposely allowed Halo to become irrelevant. I can't even come to watch the review of the series. Look...how they massacred my Spartan...😭
The best thing about Halo Season 2 is listening to videos that pick the show apart. I can't wait for your next video for what was an absolute disaster of a season Finale.
@@TheDirtyCubeMan So many things about the episode made no sense and the more I think about it the more questions I raise. You can ignore the rest: If you are dealing with a potential pathogen, shouldn't there be protocols for entering and leaving the lab so there isn't an outbreak? So baffling I thought maybe the woman was intentionally trying to cause the outbreak. Why is it that everyone gets infected so easily by the spores yet Miranda is perfectly fine despite being in close contact with patient 0? Why is it that in Episode 7, it seemed like the covenant fleet could easily handle the UNSC fleet but Kai crashing a ship into the covenant main flagship (which showed up later IIRC) turned the tide of the battle and Parangosky no longer views this as a suicide mission? How is it that there is a flood outbreak going on yet people are so unaware? You had a scientist stab someone in the neck and people freeze up. No alarm for potential epidemic? How about how master chief is going to retrieve Cortana and Parangosky is telling him to go to halo instead... but the ship is heading toward halo anyway so does it matter? Actually... how fast is Master Chief traveling? how far away was the Halo ring from the battle? Was he going through space at mach 100? How the hell did Kwan not get infected? What does the random old lady from episode 1, who got glassed, have anything to do with this? How is she able to stop the flood? Plot armor much? Why is Dr. Halsey (before she freezes up) so enthusiastic about the parasites potential, when she clearly saw first hand what it could do? How did Corporal Perez get out of the field of battle (this is before kai "turned the tides") without getting annihilated? Honestly, the only character who was ok was Akerson because he at least if we set the bar low he showed some sort of character arc
At this point I can see the future of this show: Season 3 is going to be the battle for halo and then the battle of Earth and finally the ark. Season 4 if there's any is going to be basically halo 4 and 5.
Regarding Soren, he realized that's what shaped him into who he is. He was taken as a child and abused till his early teens. He was designed to be what he is regardless of how his body took his implants. He thought of Keslar being more than what he would've been in The Rubble. He saw the crucible he went through as Keslars right of passage. Yes, it's flawed. They could've written this better.
Writers room: “I know we can have an island that has different areas and closes in on Master chief and then Some hell divers drop to save him in Los Angeles where they have flying cars with pikemen all around them flooding in”! They ether need better or fewer drugs! I think the Woke Flood has taken over and win in this series!
Ugh...just listening Jimmy and Makee talking about themselves and the two factions is just so sickening tiresome how they make not the least sense eversince they met and had their first vision. They or at least Makee thinks they are the Shadows or Greys between UNSC and Covenants and they are not! In game version, It only makes sense if it was John and Arbiter considering they were enemies, Both acted on their own sometimes while loyal to who they reside and managed to make an alliance when killing the Prophet of Truth.
As someone not familiar with Halo lore or many of the games. Ive been enjoying this season a lot and think its been pretty awesome. One question though if someone can answer. What exactly is Perez now? The synopsis for i think this or last episode said she is "training to be a new kind of soldier". They keep referring to her and her team as Spartans but they certainly dont seem like Spartans, and they never once mentioned or showed them receiving augmentation to become super soldiers. Is she like an ODST or some type of Special Forces? Or are they actually Spartans?
Canceling after the last episode, I'm not even wasting my time with the last season of Disco, it was trash after season two. Just been a trash after trash as far as their shows go..
This is exactly what’s going to happen lol Seriously, the writers/producers don’t care about the source material at all. They’ll put the cherry on top of this shit storm by just straight up destroying halo with that damn spike because why wouldn’t they do some dumbass shit like that at this point?
The fall of reach was 15 minutes of action. The rest was talking. I timed it. Then you had a few minutes of action in episode 1. Then a bit of fighting with mc and marines. Theres been about less than 30 minutes of action across 7 episodes. Wow.
If the UNSC can just manipulate a ship’s tech to cause a star system killing supernova, what even is the threat of Halo when it does roughly the same thing???
Stopped watching this season on the episode when I heard the statement "This will ruin date night!" Turned it off and never finished the episode. Hot garbage!
I really hate the fact that science fiction has become science 'mysticism', for a lack of better words. What's so hard about using Halo: Fall of Reach as the opening season, Halo: the Flood in season 2. First Strike or Halo 2 is season 3, and Halo 3 is the final season 4.
@@Youcancallmeishmaell Yeah, There's cosmic elements into Halo's deeper lore, or mystical stuff regarding the forerunners and Precursors, but the overall genre is done as a military sci fi, and everything regarding the UNSC and Halo always has some science woven into it. @@Youcancallmeishmaell i'll agree it's trying to be, but it's failing at even that. It's also trying to be a discount The Expanse too with the whole Kwan and Soren storylines. That Pirate colony is like a Belter station in The Expanse and UNSC is an incompetent UN Earth.

This show tries so hard to both have its cake and eat it too. On one hand it jettisons the existing canon out an airlock and does its own thing but then on the other hand it glosses over so much worldbuilding like it assumes that you need to fill in the gaps with the original canon. It's both an uncanny and preposterous way to treat existing lore and craft a TV show.
Jesus Christ. Its actually worse than i thought. They're skipping through shit so fast. Now Chief and Makee know what Halo is already? Not only that but Halo is supposed to be a zero sum kill all people weapon. Humans can't make it just kill the covenant and the covenant cant use it just to kill humans. For them it's more intricate than that. Which you miss because of the rushed stupid writing in the show
haha your final 10 seconds is perfect, i also find some sick enjoyment in dissecting this freak of a show as a case study of what happens when you ignore popular source material, or inserting woke ideologies, etc
Perez became a Spartan 4 in less than a weeks training. Where and when did this all happen? From her piloting a ship from Reach and getting recruitment for Spartan 4 programme. Last we saw, she was suffering from fear and PTSD after the battle with invisible Elites. Now in less then fortnight, she's a trained Spartan 4. The timeline is ridiculous 😂.
The training scene that people thought was cool was literally like a carbon copy of Enders Game 😂 This is all so bad. I have zero idea how someone without deep Halo knowledge would have any idea what's going on. It would have been at least 30℅ better if they just let Makee stay dead. And why did they choose a middle aged Indian woman to play the top Admiral? i get diversity and all that, but the character just isn't believable as the head of ONI
every halo fan knows why thel vadam became the arbiter in halo 2, but wtf did he do in the show to become the arbiter because the halo is still intact and they haven't even set foot on it and where tf is the pillar of autumn. this show makes less and less sense after each episode. and now there's dead forerunners on onyx wtf is happening 💀
Yeah just laying on the floor after literally millions of years 😂 This wasn't like a few hundred years. That body was laying there since humans were first evolved lol
Thel 'Vadam doesn't exist in the Silver Timeline. The "Arbiter" you see onscreen is called Var 'Gatanai, or, apparently, Varo Gat'anai, since they murdered the Sangheili language in the TV show and made it sound exactly like Dothraki from Game of Thrones. Var 'Gatanai doesn't even have the "-ee" suffix that Sangheili serving in the Covenant should have at the ends of their last names.
@@ArgentWolf95 They hired the guy who made up Dothraki for Game of Thrones to work on Sangheili, even though the Sangheili language was already considerably fleshed out in the games, the books, hell, Halo 4: Spartan Ops had Sangheili speak in Sangheili. But the Sangheili in the show has clicks and clacks, awkward pauses and other sounds eerily reminiscent of Dothraki, which just shows that the guy they hired wanted more of his prized creation everywhere that isn't Game of Thrones.
@@DoctorLifeMD Why couldn't someone from 343 just give them the lexicon of Sangheili stuff they have in the lore so far? I have a soft spot for the Sangheili, especially the Arbiter and am really disappointed that they messed up a decent Saurian alien race.

I've been saying this for awhile. Cancel this shit, give the rights to someone who gives a shit about the source material. And make a good action packed, accurate soundtrack, accurate show based off the first 3 original games. Each halo game being a season using real actors but not live action, Blur Cutscene technology
They could've done the show with a lot less characters and still get the same plot. Actually, they could even use the saved budget from the useless characters and spend them on better writers.
I was afraid that The first action scene with armor we got in episode 1 would be the last for a bit. I figured for sure Master Chief would have his armor for the fall of Reach and that sucks he didn't. Also I think Soren is trying to find his way back to Halsey in a way.He almost tried to replicate her with his wife's appearance (her blonde hair). I wonder if that was her choice or his? The series overall could've been a lot better, it isn't as bad as season 1 but still...do better Paramount😅
5:40 WTF they even got halos wrong... it doesn't work at all that way. How can this show be so far away from the original story and why? Why is this show called halo at all?
This series is an insult to the fans who have been waiting for a live action show for years. It even makes the story of Halo 5 Guardians look more believable.
I'm not getting what the Chief has to apologize for since he was right the entire time about the Covenant being on Reach. His own squad above everyone else should've believed him. He shouldn't have had to lie to them to begin with.
Who the hell gave all of these writers the cultural authority to absolutely shit on the mythos of all of these insanely important IP's?! Doctor Who. Star Trek. Star Wars. Halo. Marvel. etc.
I wonder if people realize they decided to go with a silver team instead of blue because they knew eventually they where going to have to kill them of or side line them so Chief could go it alone. people bitched about silver team replacing blue then bitched when Vannek died. Can you imagine the bitching if it was Fred Kelly or Linda?
season 1 was better than 2, it wasn’t really halo, a lot of storylines weren’t well written at all but at least it wasn’t completely stupid. this is just terrible and it makes no sense at all
It hurts to see some of these actors I have seen so talented get stuck in this show trying to defend it, but later on, after the show is over, they will speak the truth.Lol
Honestly, I'm just facepalming throughout the entire show, the whole thing is being rushed, and the fact that Reach wasn't told properly makes me pissed. I won't lie this season two could've had potential

I wouldn't wish a season 3 upon my worst enemies. This show is twisting your mind.
Bonnie Ross green-lit this project, pumped infinite out as a halo textured sci-fi shooter, got her check and bounced. This has been an argument I’ve been having with my friends about what has changed to make gaming just not so great in the modern day. It’s because games aren’t made with love anymore..period, these ip’s just read as money signs to anyone lucky enough to sign off a contract with Microsoft, who allows anything and all to happen to their beloved franchise’s.. R.I.P.- gears of war and halo
I’m still waiting for the incredible blot twist that explains how Makee survived the bullet to the head at the end of season 1.
Oh yeah, It's definately gonna be something stupid enough that it's against Halo lore, Cause in most franchises, Literally just 97% people can't survive a headshot unless they are immortal or have regenerative powers.
She's probably a clone or some shit like that
I thought it was to the mid section?
Whenever he says “jjimmyyy” I instantly start laughing 😂.
Dude same I can't help it
Both Ackerson and Soren made complete turnarounds in character for no reason other than the plot needed them to in the moment.
Also Soren’s wife seems to get worse with every episode
Not true go back and watch you can clearly see them heading in the direction they arrived at. the wife even said it in this episode and Ackerson does care remember his sister was in the spartan program he didn’t want what happened to her to happen to his Spartans.
@@jesblazin4163Except he knew they were going on suicide missions. He pretty much says as much to Kai. So no it doesn't make sense.
@@RianD-xp3kk he wasn’t questioning Parangasky he realized that was a mistake.

so many parallels between the netflix avatar and halo, not good ones. i pray netflix takes the hint
I love how spartan training, is just made into how Conan the Barbarian learned to fight... God this show is trash.
@@williamhenson2929not true, Spartan 3s had the best training
@@williamhenson2929 and 5'3 140pound females can be Spartan soldiers😀
@williamhenson2929 lol you are very misinformed. The augmentations that the Spartan 3s received were comparable to the Spartan 2s. In fact I think they are stronger. Alpha company's attack on the the covenant refinery showed us that the 12 year old spartan 3s were over powering/ snapping the wrists of elites without the help of Mjolnir armor strength boost.
Their training did not include higher learning with Deja, their training was more combat oriented/ team work in a military setting not some weird lord of the Flys crap.
@@mushroomhead86117doesn’t matter, spartan 2s are cooler
@@calebreynolds9183Actually no. They just abducted orphans of war. Pump them full of drugs and that's pretty much it. There augmentations can't even be compared to sparten 2s. They are like the mass produced inferior version. There is great UA-cam video going over each sparten generation and their upgrades.
They're going to give Soren Vannak's armor aren't they.
Exactly this.
The symbol above the door to the “lab” is the forerunner symbol for the flood…
The reviews have always been way better than the episodes 💀
Kiki Wolfkill was there for every scene and approved it.
She purposely allowed Halo to become irrelevant.
I can't even come to watch the review of the series.
Look...how they massacred my Spartan...😭
The best thing about Halo Season 2 is listening to videos that pick the show apart. I can't wait for your next video for what was an absolute disaster of a season Finale.
Wdym, the season finale was “amazing” I love that they chose to do a Resident Evil cross over instead of doing the actual flood :)
@@TheDirtyCubeMan So many things about the episode made no sense and the more I think about it the more questions I raise. You can ignore the rest:
If you are dealing with a potential pathogen, shouldn't there be protocols for entering and leaving the lab so there isn't an outbreak?
I don’t know which is worse, the Star Wars battlefront collection or the halo tv show.
Wait. The SMG's props are form real world weapons. They got THIS lazy?
My favorite part of the show is when I found out the writers basically said 'We don't wanna do this, so me made up our own halo time-line.'
At this point I can see the future of this show:
Season 3 is going to be the battle for halo and then the battle of Earth and finally the ark.
Even people who have no prior Halo knowledge say this show is master ASS
Writers room: “I know we can have an island that has different areas and closes in on Master chief and then Some hell divers drop to save him in Los Angeles where they have flying cars with pikemen all around them flooding in”! They ether need better or fewer drugs! I think the Woke Flood has taken over and win in this series!
I hope the rings get activated and that's the end of this s**t hole of a series 😂
House of Illuminati presents: Jimmy’s Halo Experience!

first Jimmy was shirtless and than Arbiter damn!
an incoherent trainwreck from a $7B company. Like, they all went to the table read and not ONE person said "THIS MAKES NO SENSE"? fkn wuttttt?!
12:56 lmao 💀💀💀💀💀
Yes lol I died! 😂😂😂😂😂
I’d actually love to see that😍
As someone not familiar with Halo lore or many of the games.
Why get excited for things yet to come. Exactly. With how these parts have been handled. lol
Canceling after the last episode, I'm not even wasting my time with the last season of Disco, it was trash after season two. Just been a trash after trash as far as their shows go..
Watch them blow the halo up in the next episode. If that happens. Even ill be done with the show
This is exactly what’s going to happen lol Seriously, the writers/producers don’t care about the source material at all. They’ll put the cherry on top of this shit storm by just straight up destroying halo with that damn spike because why wouldn’t they do some dumbass shit like that at this point?
I can't say why but everything about this show hurt my heart.
We should glass Paramount for there heresy!!!
The fall of reach was 15 minutes of action. The rest was talking. I timed it. Then you had a few minutes of action in episode 1. Then a bit of fighting with mc and marines. Theres been about less than 30 minutes of action across 7 episodes. Wow.
Microsoft Fucked up Bad LMAO!!
They need to make a Halo movie the story CE but instead master chief it point view of the marines who land Halo

Anytime Apu's mom speaks i need subtitles 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If the UNSC can just manipulate a ship’s tech to cause a star system killing supernova, what even is the threat of Halo when it does roughly the same thing???
this is what I had thought, but maybe the explosion of the covenant ship that is near by the halo sets off the halo explosion? idk lol
Stopped watching this season on the episode when I heard the statement "This will ruin date night!" Turned it off and never finished the episode. Hot garbage!
You crack me up, for being so honest about the show so far.
I really hate the fact that science fiction has become science 'mysticism', for a lack of better words.
What's so hard about using Halo: Fall of Reach as the opening season, Halo: the Flood in season 2. First Strike or Halo 2 is season 3, and Halo 3 is the final season 4.
There are mystical elements buried deep in Halo lore.Lore.
This isn't halo, this is MASS EFFECT.
@@Youcancallmeishmaell Yeah, There's cosmic elements into Halo's deeper lore, or mystical stuff regarding the forerunners and Precursors, but the overall genre is done as a military sci fi, and everything regarding the UNSC and Halo always has some science woven into it.
The way they did this is more space opera than even Mass Effect.
@ArgentWolf95
The supernatural elements are buried in the deep Lore.
By this show being MASS Effect I'm being quite literal.
@ArgentWolf95
I sincerely I sincerely believe The writers of this show actually wanted to make mass effect but couldn't get the license or had the license and lost it somehow .
So they took the license that they could get Which was halo and began to crowbar it into being An approximation.I want to have to wanted.
Season one we hear the line commander shepherd report to the Skillian response center.
Miranda Keys, acts ME1 Liara as well as Possessing Her skill set xenoarchaeology; She even looks kinda like a human liara.
Kessler's Pirate base It's an old asteroid mine just like omega. His wife is liberally Liara.
The story starts with one of humanity's most gifted soldiers finding an alien arti fact which burns visions into his mind. No one in the government takes these visions seriously until it's too late.
His mentor figure is an older heavy set Black man who commands the ship.
All hero constantly goes on detours.You.You could call them sidequest.
They could've used this to introduce the Nova bomb but, nope. TurboTard "spike" is what they went with.
Which you miss because of the rushed stupid writing in the show
Why is this show called halo at all? It has nothing to do with Halo, except a few character names and weapons...
To be fair, nobody knows what the Halo actually does until they actually find it in the first Game.
You k ow what would save this show or would have made it great from the start... writers that have been Halo fans since they were 10.
I think Perez is the silver timeline version of palmer
Reach fell and we go no real master chief combat 11/10
Think u meant one there Chief
haha your final 10 seconds is perfect, i also find some sick enjoyment in dissecting this freak of a show as a case study of what happens when you ignore popular source material, or inserting woke ideologies, etc
Why are so many characters sooo unlikable. Kwan, the admiral, Soren, ackerson, makee.. the only person that its decent is Halsey
The timeline is ridiculous 😂.
this is the Winter Cringetingency.
It almost as if Master Chief doesn’t exist in this time line…
He doesn’t, Master Cheeks does.
Tell me your a noob without telling me your a noob she is literally the big bad 😂

every halo fan knows why thel vadam became the arbiter in halo 2, but wtf did he do in the show to become the arbiter because the halo is still intact and they haven't even set foot on it and where tf is the pillar of autumn. this show makes less and less sense after each episode. and now there's dead forerunners on onyx wtf is happening 💀
@@DoctorLifeMD wait, they bsically gave the Sangheili *Dothraki* naming conventions?
Talk about no creativity.

Wow....that's the worst casting of the entire dumpster fire of a show. Worse than Discount Liev Shrieber as Master Cheeks 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should just cancel and sell the rights to a different studio. Maybe make it animated.
One episode is left and this season was worse then the first one.
NO SEASON 3 PLEASE
Right on
Episode 7 was a dumpster fire 🤢
Your reviews are hilarious... and this show is a mess. I'll hate watch the last episode at this point, but then I think I'm done for next season.
5:40 WTF they even got halos wrong... it doesn't work at all that way. How can this show be so far away from the original story and why? Why is this show called halo at all?
Because the need the brand clout
How many of the books have you read?
This series is an insult to the fans who have been waiting for a live action show for years. It even makes the story of Halo 5 Guardians look more believable.
What are you talking about? The symbol above the door is the flood symbol.
Doctor Who. Star Trek. Star Wars. Halo. Marvel. etc.
I think the Soren timeline is happening so they can make his son the new master chief or some crap lak that
Great action… wtf story dropped every possible ball
I wonder if people realize they decided to go with a silver team instead of blue because they knew eventually they where going to have to kill them of or side line them so Chief could go it alone. people bitched about silver team replacing blue then bitched when Vannek died. Can you imagine the bitching if it was Fred Kelly or Linda?
season 1 was better than 2, it wasn’t really halo, a lot of storylines weren’t well written at all but at least it wasn’t completely stupid. this is just terrible and it makes no sense at all
Hope your watching it as a pirate ☠️ 😉
I Sure am
I am, not giving then money until we get an actual halo action series
It hurts to see some of these actors I have seen so talented get stuck in this show trying to defend it, but later on, after the show is over, they will speak the truth.Lol
Honestly, I'm just facepalming throughout the entire show, the whole thing is being rushed, and the fact that Reach wasn't told properly makes me pissed. I won't lie this season two could've had potential
